    I have been amazed with my 12" red-devil pruning blade for my DeWalt reciprocating saw(sawzall). It has literally replaced my small chainsaw. I've cut 10" diameter trees down with it. I recently cleared an entire fence line of mesquite's, small oaks, desert hackberry(hard), and other scrub brush. I never once whipped out the chainsaw. Like I said ...I was amazed!

    Climbing saws have always been my favorite for size, weight, and easy of use. The echo climbing saw you showed is awesome. For some reason, everyone thinks they need a 20in saw for everything. But really for the few times a year I need a chainsaw battery powered makes more since to me. No more carb issues.

    I talked my old boss into buying a 2511T two years ago and it quickly became his favorite saw in the bucket. I have watched a climber drop 14" oak limbs on 150yr old trees with that tiny 25cc saw w/12" bar. Echo's Red Armor is some Kick-A** 2 cycle oil. In use it on my vintage Suzuki 2-cycle powered Toro Recycler and Toro 3650 snowblower.

    • @timderks5960
      @timderks5960 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those saws are made to handle with 1 hand. Because of how your hands are positioned, your second hand will barely even help in a kickback event, since it's not in front or behind your other hand, but beside it. It's always a good idea to keep your facehole away from the line of the chain though. One of those helmets with a steel mesh in front of your face would probably be even better though.

    • @Thelawncarenut

      I do like the ferns, I think it's a super cool relationship the plants share. Funny enough, in the dry season the ferns dry up but in the rainy season they flourish. I'm not sure about what you are referring to on the brown stuff unless you are talking about the root flair. I assume they do that for added support - most of my palms do it.
