So many trip reporters on youtube edit the takeoff footage, and I'm not sure why. It only takes betweeen 25 and 50 seconds, but I guess that's too long for some. Again, thank you for including the complete flight experience in your reports!
@1:43 ... TWA did a study on the DC-9 (md-80, md90, 717) and determined that a properly maintained DC-9 could have a 40 year life span. I'm sure that is a part of the reason Delta went after all they could get on the used market. (I'm sure the 717s were a good deal from the Southwest / AirTran merger )
I honestly don't see how this channel doesn't have more subscribers as this channel is most DEFINITELY one of the best aviation channels on TH-cam. There are some channels on here that have more than 1M subscribers and the videos aren't anything close to this. Damn shame.....smh
nice flight...some people will walk down to the plane, take a seat and never know what they are on....strange...anyway....the west landscape is kinda bare...another trip delight....thanks Q
The flight originated from Atlanta and went through Salt Lake to Sacramento. I guess the pilots did not update the screens that the plane was already in Salt Lake a short flight to Sacramento.

Another great video! Gotta love Wi-Fi too. I think I’d rather choose Delta Airlines, for short flights from the Central Valley area, it seems to be a good airline. Nice video nonetheless, can’t wait for more. ✈️
Looks like Delta updated/refurbished the 737-800 fleet by re-upholstering the seats and some minor cabin adjustments. They seem to have kept the old IFE system as you can see the plastic around the IFE monitors is starting to yellow when compared to the plastic of the tray table that has been replaced as a result of the refurb. Its not a bad screen, but the IFE screens in the 739 and 321 are way nicer looking.
Nowadays, these older seat back screens seem to only work in about half of the aircraft. I hear Delta’s getting ready to retrofit the cabins on this version of the 737-800, which will include new screens and maybe adjustable headrests like the 900. The 737-800s that already have the new screens but no headrests, will not be touched to my knowledge.
