TRIP REPORT | Delta Airlines - 767 300 - New York (JFK) to Los Angeles (LAX) | Economy

On December 3, I flew Delta Airlines on one of their aging 767-300s from New York to Los Angeles in Economy. This is the busiest aircraft route in America, and has heavy competition from every major carrier in the country. Delta offers a complimentary "meal" (although it's more like a large snack) to all Economy passengers to try and elevate their passenger service, and I think it's a nice advantage.

seeing this is so sad, seeing how well the world was doing and all of aviation. And now to see almost all of air travel stop now and barely any flights anywhere!!
It doesn't take much to ruin a whole lot.
I know this comment was three months ago, and arguably things have worsened, I looked in the video description to find the flight number for his trip report, and after looking it up, I realized that the same exact aircraft has been grounded for over 3 months now. That to me is deeply saddening, and something I never expected to see in my lifetime.
People are getting vaccinated now I hope aviation will soon be what it used to be or better!
I guess Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a method to log back into an Instagram account..?

I flew on that exact same aircraft in that exact seat on Jan 18!
Oh nice, but I have something to tell you. I looked up the flight number on FlightAware, and the aircraft has now been grounded in SLC for three months!
AF08 Jan 18th was pre pandemic, so it wasn’t grounded when he flew it

I have my CJO but we flew out for training and got sent back home the same day because of coronavirus. I can't wait for things to go back to normal. So ready to get my wings!

My only ever visit to New York was just before Christmas and they do the Christmas decorations very well. They were skating at the Rockefeller Centre with music etc...and it was bloody cold !! I would imagine NYC and JFK look a lot different during this awful time ! Great views on take off !! Thanks for a most excellent flight as always and I look forward to your next adventure !! The plane you flew in is made by Boeing. I went to the Boeing factory to tour it you know. It was awesome. And at the end of the tour, we all watched as a brand-new 747 took off on Boeing’s testing runway. It already had the livery for the airline it was being delivered to (Air India) on it and everything!
its now retired as ai retired all their 747's in 2019
and ai now uses 777 300er's and 200lr's for ind-usa and ind-ca routes
747 was used for ind-glf routes

7:29 yeah, Ive had similar experiences on Delta regarding the quality of food served and what time they served it. Last November, I flew to Detroit from Seattle on Delta and they gave me a pretty bad turkey sandwich that passed as breakfast. My advice is to plan out how long you're gonna be in the air, then get a hot meal or two in the terminal, depending on the length of flight, to bring on the plane. I always like to ask for a bag and then put the blanket they give you in the bag so the food stays hot! :D
although that cheese plate does look appetizing.
On my two Delta flights between LAX and JFK last May and December, I got the Pastrami Sandwich on my May Flight and the turkey sandwich on my December flight. I like How Delta always gives you almonds, snacks, water and coke during the flight. Also the flight service was really attentive.
I used to fly Alaska Airline between LAX and JFK and they didn’t give us anything to eat nor any drink or water during the flight

I hope Delta will start to retire its 767 fleets off LAX-JFK routes after everything settles down
i rebooked by las vegas trip to august 19th to the 23rd instead of flying march 25th to the 28th due to covid 19 from omaha also rebooked my may 19th flight to an earlier time to charleston south carolina from omaha 515am departure now flying to nashville arrives at 855am with a stop no plane change in chicago midway 640am to 730am stopover stay on the plane but can move seats then continue onto nashville then 40 minute layover in nashville 935am departure then to charleston noon arrival, original booking leave 1035am omaha arrive at noon chicago midway leave 2pm chciago arrive at charleston at 505pm then on the way back may 23rd charleston to chicago midway to omaha 2 hour 50 minute layover in chicago on southwest airlines leave charleston at 1210pm arrive at chicago midway 125pm leave chicago midwy at 415pm arrive in omaha at 540pm, i also save like $200 by rebooking also can maybe do another flight during the fall or early winter if i wanted to

Awesome video. I've only had the opportunity to fly the 767 once, nice aircraft. A lot will probably be retired due to the recent issues.

@@BGV97 The virus :) Lots of older aircraft are beginning to get permanently grounded.
@@BGV97 Coronavirus outbreak, no one is flying and the older planes are just sitting there, and the older aircraft don't have that special HEPA filter to keep the air fresh that most airlines have installed so might as well retire them early.

I'm from LA and I visit New York pretty frequently. Last year, I flew Delta twice between LAX and JFK. Delta is definitely one of the best domestic airlines.
Delta I think I’d the best. From their service, to fleet, to their choice of hubs. Contrary to what you might think, I’ve had a good experience with United as well.
Airwipe I fly both airlines (and while delta is the better airline in my opinion) I’ve never had a bad experience with United and from my experience they are good airline! I don’t understand all the hate..
Airwipe I agree. I used to fly Alaska Airline (Virgin America) between LAX and JFK and it was not as good as Delta. Alaska Airline didn’t offer any food or drink unlike Delta and its service was not as attentive.

Another great trip report! Ever since this virus started, many many flights had been cancelled and unique planes like the 747 and 767 are getting retired :( 767s are just amazing planes. Has the best economy seat config 2-3-2 and the amazing sounds and performance of the CF6 and PW4000 engines! The plane climbs like a rocket sometimes. Hopefully, I can get to fly on more 767s. Kudos to QFS Aviation for an amazing trip report!

When I went to New York City I flew into LaGuardia with Air Canada, and when it was time to go home I flew with the same airline from the same airport to Toronto, then from Toronto to Vancouver, then from Vancouver to Kamloops (where I lived at the time. Now I live in Campbell River which is on Vancouver Island)

I also caught Rocky Mountains on my LAX to JFK way and flew over the aspen mountains and the snowy mountains of Arizona, Utah, and Colorado.
I am flying delta lax-jfk both ways 763 there and 764 coming back in economy in January

This is my favorite avaition channel to this day! The trips relax me and just make me want to leave new york. he and i both live in the same island lol! Not gonna say where but NICE! I hope to soon take a trip to florida again with jetblue!
I would have loved to have sat next to u and hated it at the same time ..... filming is cool and all but the fact that you film faces too with any respect for others ..... i might have been sleeping and your filming to post on youtube for the world to see ..... and the way u just blatantly put the camera in ppls face is just wrong ...... idk but i think you get alot of mean looks from other passengers maybe its just me - its just weird.

@QFS Aviation I heard the KLM Boeing 747-400 is being retired this year. I'm so upset right now because I wanted to fly a 747 on KLM next year(I graduate high school next year) during my freshman year of college.😭😭

DELTA Airlines is one of the BEST U.S. airline. Because always the cabin,s of this airline,s fleet looks most modern and clean. The inflight-service (on it,s trans-atlantic flights) is excellent and the flight-crew mostly very attentive and helpful. My favourite plane on DL,s trans-atlantic-services is the Boeing 767-300ER
