I've got a 3/4 acre pond with Georgia Giant Bluegill, Common Bluegill, Redear Sunfish, Black Crappie, Yellow Perch and a few wipers. I've got fat head minnows, Rosie red minnows, crappie minnows, rainbow shiners, silver shiners and golden shiners. I have two inlets both fed by artesian springs, intake bay, bog filter and stream. I've got a lot of water movement for a pond temp stays about 55 degrees below two feet deep. My deepest point is about 16-17 feet deep average is 7-8. I just finished stocking last fall. I'm hoping spring 25 to see some breeding from my yellow and walleye. Only time will tell.
That’s awesome man! Just had a new pond about the same size dredged on my place too. Hoping for walleye crappie, perch, and big red-ears and fathead minnows. Where are you located generally? I’m in NW IL
Nice looking location! 1st fish tank 2nd bite tank … pulling bass and walleye out of there is sweet! Looks like you have a great walleye hole, fish on! 👍Nice fishing spot at home too.
That’s a good question honestly. If it’s pretty well spring fed (cooler temps) I would say so. I doubt they would naturally reproduce though. I’m definitely not an expert by any means 😂
Yes I've got Walleye in my 3/4 acre pond with a depth of 16-17 feet. I've heard you need at least 8 ft but 12 is preferred. My pond is fed by two inlets both artesian well heads and a big/waterfall. Below a couple feet my pond is 55°

How those walleyes can reproduces in that pond? Very nice
Honestly I don’t know if they do or not. It’s over 20 feet deep and we have caught males that were “milking” in the spring so maybe they do 🤷🏼♂️
Do you have river or stream to connect? Anyway , you are lucky men
Just a small feeder spring. And I won’t argue that. Definitely blessed 👏
How many acres is that pond
roughly an acre, maybe 1.5, but almost 24' deep at the deepest spot
