COME ON THIS VIDEO DESERVES SOME MORE THUMBS UP.......BTW THIS TUTORIAL WAS SUPER FUN TO WATCH AS A BEGINNER AND BY COMMENTING THIS I START MY JOURNEY TODAY!
Hi! Just wanted you to know that I'm hella thankful you're out here producing such an educative content, I've been learning a lot from you! Cheers from Brazil~
This is hands down the best and most complete illustrator tutorial I have ever watched. Easy to follow, entertaining, informative and engaging content!
Hi, I'm getting started to learn Illustrator and I found your teaching style very effective for me. Thank you so much for these wonderful tutorials of yours. Hoping to dig deeper down into your channel and find out more as I advance my knowledge in illustrator. Keep making these tutorials, you're so amazing and truly great for sharing your knowledge!!
You were right when you commented on my comment on the house, I love these full length tutorials and the cactus included, I wish you would categorize your tutorials. It would be cool if i didn't have to go through all your videos to find these, because the Illustrator playlist includes things like talk about this specific tool. If you made a group like just for your Cactus, Potted Plants, Lamp, Bunny, Castle.. all those, if you could group them that would be great because some things appeal more to one then others :) I will still check other tutorials out but right now Im fascinated with how you use the tools to create these images. I've used Adobe Photoshop for decades and its something I know well but the AI one has always sort of escaped me, the basic things of cutting this in half I've done wrong for long time, much more difficult than it has to since AI is not even close to how Adobe Photoshop operates. Anyway keep up the great work! I have quite a few more tutorials to go through about your Flat design :)
Hey, I really enjoy your channel a lot and you've helped me with many tricks and features of illustrator. I was wondering if you know a fast way of changing the shape of many of the same objects in parallel? What I mean is that I have a lot of circles in my illustration that should now become pentagons. I would like to avoid deleting all circles and put the new pentagons individually.
Thank you very much for your great content. However I am having a hard time facing colors. Could you please make a video on how you make good color pallets like you just did in this video.
hello i was trying to make this based on your video, but i cannot use the "replace spine". i had selected the dott and the stroke, but it was still same. can you help mee? thanks
Sorry for commenting again, but I just remembered I had a suggestion. Can you sometime create a flat 2D ship ? Like a boat, or a creative space ship ? That would be cool. Please let me know what you think of this.
Hi, thank you so much for this beautiful video and the detailed explaining. I have a question regarding 23:50, you selected the blend and the path then said: replace spine, yet my replace spine is grayed out and I did everything exactly as you said from the beginning to that point, twice, and nothing changed. how can I make it work again? what makes "replace spine" go gray? thank you :)
Ya I think the angle makes it look bigger, pretty sure it’s the same size as my 27” iMac that it sits next to, which is my normal computer (2013 and still kickin). MBP is my work computer which has been at home for 5 months now
Hello, thank you so much for this tutorial!! I’m struggling to “replace spine”, it won’t give me the option? I’m very new to illustrator so it could be something small that I’m just missing. Any ideas?
I made that faux pas cause I'm also new to it. I selected both of the "caterpillars" instead of just the one. So select one caterpillar, and the shape it's meant to go around, hold down select when doing this, and you should be able to replace spine. Hopefully you'll have figured it out by the time you read this :)
Thx for ur tutorials. I found u today because I just started today with illustrator and was trying to prepare a map for animation in after effects and had googled “how to make a filled circle in illustrator” (yeah that’s how new I am to this program 😂🙈) and I had found ur short tutorial. Then I got side tracked and just finished watching this tutorial, pretty cool, lots of things learnt! I live on a sailboat and right now my batteries are too low to keep my computer running but once I have them charged again, I will give the cactus a go ☺️👍. Hey, could u do a tutorial about how to make a flat shape sailboat? ⛵️that would be pretty cool 👍 Thanks for your great work, I love that u explain everything in detail so even a newbe like me can follow u 🙏🏼 Cheers, Nike @whitespotpirates

What are your PC snd Monitor specs? Your monitor looks really nice!
A 2018 MacBook Pro and I believe that’s a Dell Ultrasharp 27”. I’ll try to find links to the one I have
@@pixelandbracket i thought it was a 32" monitor from the angle.

i also cant figure out how to do it. I find tho that when you don't cut the bottom part with the scissors it works fine.

I can feel you when you copied those object guys whenever you want to do modification, just in case you want to go back to the square one 😭😭😭
Haha, in the original working file for this one (download in description) it’s littered with copied experimental cactus parts.
