I enjoy watching your reactions with your daughter. Glad to see she is enjoying Pentatonix. Hope to see you both react to more. Greetings from Tennessee 😊🇺🇸
What a beautiful sweet girl you have. It's always so fun to watch kids listen to and enjoy the music I grew up with in the 70's and 60's. I was a junior in high school when this song came out. She has probably heard Queen songs and didn't know it. What high school doesn't play "We are the champions" when their football team wins or have a pep rally and not the kids stopping their feet and clapping to "We will rock you". She said that she had heard "Love of my life" before, I would like to see her hear "Somebody to love". Thank you for the videos. I have really enjoyed them.
You guys should react to their cover of Daft Punk and their original, Love Again. When you hear them, you forget there is no instruments!!! They are wonderfully talented and Daft Punk won them one of their three Grammys!
OMG I am loving this reaction you should show her more Pentatonix - and if you do, may I suggest showing her one of Mitch's solo stuff. She had said she liked Billie Eilish at one point but not so much now...I think if you showed her Mitch's cover of 'Your Power' by Billie Eilish, she would be absolutely gob smacked. He recorded it on the roof of his apartment during quarantine and it is mind blowing!
Hi guys, im re watching your videos, love the daughter father, and the bond., what i did want to tell you may or may not know, that pentatonix have just got there star on the hollywood walk of fame. good work guys
love watching you watch your daughter. I lost my dad 8 years ago- it's such a special relationship... hold on tight to it and keep sharing music. its what I miss the most with mine..... :).
Watching your daughter is so much fun. Takes me way back. You need to show her a few of the classic live performances. For one, Stevie Ray Vaughn live at the El Mocambo. Show her guitar talent. All real, all live, no autotune, no backing tracks nothing, just stand up there on stage and rip it. I will never forget that night.
Just came across this reaction - fun to see your daughter's reactions. It's Kirstie, like thirsty. New bass is Matt. There's a behind the scenes video of the making of this and it's fascinating to watch - figuring out how to work with the moving couch etc. The couch has significance in their 10+ yr history because they started making video at home sitting on a couch and lots of their older ones have a couch. They still pop up now and then in their newer work. There's also a Making of Evergreen (last year's Christmas album) video that's like a mini documentary and shows how they work together, how they record their songs, etc. It's fascinating. Enjoy your PTX journey.
I love Queen, big part of my late teen years, but Pentatonix has my heart!! And there is no one in the world as beautiful and angelic voiced than Mitchy!!
I enjoy the reactions with yourself and Freeburg, as a 53 year old Brit I'm fortunate enough to have seen the likes of Slade, Queen, Ac/Dc and many others I 'also follow Green Day and Pentatonix amongst others! You should check out Green Day Hyde park where the crowd sings Bohemian Rhapsody before the gig starts!
You two have to listen to them singing Aha! live in Singapore at the star vista. You get Mitch punched it way past a slap. Also anything from Superfruit which is just Mitch and Scott. They are so funny together. There all sorts of skits and mash ups but definately watch the Frozen Medley. I am not sure how much you have learned about them but Mitch, Scott and Kirstie grew up together and are still such good friends. They hang out in Mitch and Scotts apt and do all sort of crazy stuff. Some times they have had a few glasses of wine and get really silly. Since they were young they have contests who can sing the worst, (which sadly they still sound better than most people when they are trying to sing right lol)Hip Hop goes to Broadway, Defying Gravity from Wicked. Also Mitch does an amazing cover to Billie Eilish's 'Power'
LOL loved seeing your lovely daughter get mitch slapped tell her to check out Mitch & Scotts Superfruit!!! Great reaction thanks! She should watch Daft Punk✌❣
Mitch is angelic counter tenor. He easy can sing high notes. And in the group 1 beatboxer. His name is Kevin. Please reaction to by Pentatonix- The Prayer, Sorry not sorry, Take on me with your daughter. Love you so much🥰
Check out the live version of Aha from their Singapore. Mitch will put you on the floor. And sorry folks this is a phone recording. No studio adjustments
Since your daughter has watched Pitch Perfect... if she goes back and watches Pitch Perfect 2... you will see Pentatonix in the show as Canada's acapella group in the "competition" section of the movie.
Ah but have you seen the ULTIMATE Tribute tens of thousands of Green Day fans singing along to Bohemian Rhapsody in the pre performance stage of a show
KIrstie is wearing the outfit from Crazy Little Thing Called Love.....the rest are wearing outfits from We Will Rock You and Another One Bites The Dust
This great song is difficult... Both Original Queen and Pentatonic have enough skill and talent to deliver a great performance... Greatness done greatly is always appreciated.😅
Please let your daughter hear Mark Lowry and Voctave with Mary Did You Know. Most people don't know ow that Mark Lowry wrote the song. I love you daughters reactions. It's refreshing. More please. Don't forget led zeppelin. More please. Until next time. Stay well
Actually, the megaphone was just a prop. He made those sounds without the megaphone. And I'm not sure why you are saying Ah-VEE. it's really AH-vee. But ignore my pickiness. This was an awesome reaction.
@@catherinelopresti7121 Catherine, you are so right! Mitch is perfect in every way. I'll have to listen to Coldest Winter! I love when he does lives and just starts singing! I love Anchor and Angels Pray. Ok, I love every single song! I got a friend hooked on Mitch by showing her Bohemian Rhapsody.... 💚
If you want do Pentatonix reaction with your daughter, (1) Daft Punk, (2) Jolene with Dolly, & (3) Avi/Home Free Ring of Fire. All need to be on the list.
Of course Queen is the best - no doubt about it. Pentatonix is the best cover band for this! Billie Eilish try the Pentatonix cover of When the Party's Over, and Mitch's cover of Your Power (you may have to look for a reaction video of this as it looks like the original has been removed from You Tube 😞) Mitch did an incredible job on covering this song - such a shame the video is not there anymore.
If you want to introduce her into rock in a modern way, you both need to react to the warning band, they’re a trio of Mexican sisters playing rock with a classic rock sound, they’re amazing!!
I would love to see the two of you react to Nightwish - Ghost Love Score (2013, Wacken), or their Phantom of the Opera (Official Live). Different singers, but both would blow her mind. =)
Actually, they do have "guitar", and they do have "drums", but these are done with the voices of the members as well. Just a small clarification. Don't worry, young lady, everyone gets Mitch-slapped once in a while. I received my introduction to Pentatonix in 2012, and I STILL get Mitch-slapped from time to time. I like the operatic flavor of the original. I would have her listen to Sounds of Silence by Pentatonix.
I've never heard the Pentatonix version before. Is impressive as it is, they are simply trying to duplicate Queen using only voices. No one can improve on the original. The lead simply doesn't have Freddy's flare.
I have never heard this version, as an 80s baby... I have to say NOBODY can compare to Freddy! Its a different vibe for sure, but I have to say Freddy won HANDS DOWN!
You might like Forestella as well. In my opinion nothing beats PTX upgrade but Forestella, in my rating, ranks just under the original. Well done to Freeburg for sticking to her opinion.
That’s the first time I heard pentatonics version of bohemian rhapsody. No disrespect but I can’t even believe these people had the bleeps to do that. It totally cracked me up. Like a Little rascal “show” or just any little kids trying to sing this. With no instruments. Everybody raved so I gave it a shot and I just can’t believe it was serious. I truly don’t mean to disrespect but I must say bohemian rhapsody is a tough song for anyone to tackle after Queen’s version.
Nice one!!! Wanna hear more voice surprises? plz review “SOS” by Dimash with your daughter. Singer with greatest range, beyond what you would ever expect, so she will be sooo surprised by his voice 😊
Sounds pretty good, but I would like to hear it with out the auto tune. Although, the auto tune is done well and not over used. I would love to hear how they sound without it.
Actually, the guitar solos are all Mitch. Mitch saw the megaphone lying around on the set and thought it would make a cool prop and it's been confusing people ever since - it was turned off and has nothing to do with anything you hear. Mitch does the guitar solos in llive performances with nothing but a microphone and they sound the same.
A couple of things. First, you're still pronouncing Mr. Kaplan's name wrong - it's Ah-vee, with the emphasis on the first syllable, not the second. Next, Brian May is an Astro-physicist, not an Astrologer (2 very different things). And then, since your daughter is in choir, she should check out the A Cappella Academy, a 10-day annual summer music camp for singers from 12 to 18 years old from around the world. It was founded in 2014 by none other than Avi Kaplan, and PTX producer/arranger Ben Bram, and composer/arranger Rob Dietz. The kids all send in video auditions to hopefully be chosen to attend. At the end of the 10-day sessions, there is a showcase for individual groups and the full choir. To give both of you an idea of what ACA is like and the magic they perform after only 10 days, here's a full choir performance from the 2019 class of "He Lives In You" from "Lion King 2". Queen all day long.
