This was super helpful. I had a cheapo Dollar Tree bulb installed for testing of the new circuit wiring and the new switch box was unresponsive with blinking lights. Once I installed a better Sylvania "dimmable" bulb, it tested out just fine. Thank you!
TH-cam to the rescue! Thanks. Mine was slightly different but the "interrupted circuit" got me to thinking. It wasn't a burnt out bulb...but houseguest decided to turn the light off at the pull chain. Pulled the chain and both the fan and light switched returned to working.
I bought the Sylvania a19 bulbs and I am still having the same issues. I also tried GE and Phillips. nothing seems to get the fan and light working at the same time.
my problem was I purchased a hunter fan and it came with it`s own switch, I was going to discard the hunter switch and use a Lutron smart fan switch, It wont work. If you want to use a Lutron smart switch you have to buy a dumb fan (with chains) No remote No switch and it has to have an AC motor. so if anybody has this problem that is what is going on, I did read you can purchase a fan with a remote control but just dont install the controller for the remote and it will work but I am still searching to see if that is true. Lutron needs to get on the ball because most of the fans are going to DC motors now,
