Shap told me that this map caps out around 15.8k and I'm probably getting ~14.5k. So in the smallest maps in each area, it's technically ~90% effective. As compared to bigger maps (18k+), it's still about 80%. Also to setup controller on Steam, Steam needs to be run in Admin mode.
@@sadjoy2979 You can macro skills with lower latency with a controller. you can even "macro" skills that are not macro-able inside maple. There are videos on how it's done on YT, but easiest through steam.
I'm all for the lazy grind! Nexon already gave luminous upgraded reflection which is basically hitting 1 skill to full clear, this is perfectly acceptable from what I can tell
Tbh, playing with a controller is old news. Just look up the steam deck and you can do this while on a train on a handheld. Combo button inputs can get you up to like 30 or 40 buttons
@@NoxStream okay :(. Wait, even 2 controller buttons = 1 keyboard button? It is essentially the same as the trigger counting for both down and erda, just in this case trigger + a might count as just down or just shadow bite.
@@NoxStream It was confirmed by nexon support that as long as Steam controller support is being used, it is considered a 1st party program and not bannable.
hey man thx for sharing this crazy stuff. I'm wondering if it's possible to configure the "shadow bite" button so that it presses itself. Unfortunately, holding it down doesn't seem to work. I just wanted to put a weight on the button so that it automatically presses it when ready. Is there also the option to set a timer, e.g. Should the button be pressed automatically every 13 seconds? If so, could you explain to me step by step what exactly I have to do? ideally as you would explain it to a small child. Many thanks
I actually found a way to make it automatically press the button repeatedly every 13 seconds. You also have to create an “under command” in the controller layout that is assigned to the “Shadow Bite” flavor. Then you have to turn on Turbo under the settings of the additional command and set the repetition rate to the maximum (depending on how often the button should be pressed automatically). If activation is delayed, you have to enter 13 seconds (if you have a 2s cool-down reduction). So you can now level afk completely without doing anything. However, there are still two problems. Problem 1 is that you have to put a permanent weight on the Button (Shadow bite) but at least now he spams the attack even though it is pressed continuously. Problem 2 is that a rune spawns every few minutes (maybe 10?) and reduces the exp to 0 until you activate it. That means farming overnight while you sleep is not possible.
Can you give us a controller guide, I’ve been fighting with steam for awhile on my ps5 controller, but if you could upload your method, that’d be great even if it’s for your Xbox controller
Yo Nox, appreciate the upload. When you say most people don't think it's illegal, I have to disagree with one thing in particular - and that's the "one action" erda fountain. Most poeple would consider this against TOS from what I've come across so far on Reddit etc.
So soft trigger and full trigger are considered 2 different buttons according to the steam controller (which you are allowed to use). A macro does multiple actions with one button. This is not a macro, he is “controlling” his soft and full triggers.
@@TheNasaghost I personally don't have a horse in the race here and think it's ok to use. The thing is, you can't use the full trigger action without using the soft pull at all. So the full trigger action always performs 2 things ~
😂 this is why I bought the steam deck and the rog ally to play on the go and do dailies. So much more relaxing to train with just toggles and a controller
Which do you prefer so far? I have tried playing on Steam Deck but Maple on Steam is super slow to boot up and then you add the fact I have it on SD card and not internal it takes forever to even get in the game to begin with since Maple scans the whole drive each time you boot it up.
@PotKun I end up using geforce now for the steam deck so I don't run into that issue. But the rog ally imo is way more smoother. I only like using the steamdeck for a class that has a lot of key inputs to press since it has a few more buttons. Other then that the rog ally beats it.
the only thing i find questionable is the triggers the ToS specifically says: or any other behavior that allows you (or any character you are controlling) to automatically function or effect any action in a game with or without your presence it's questionable because in firearms, airsoft and paintball, automatic is defined by a single finger movement causes more than 1 fire(which would be more than 1 action in this situation), but, walking back on that, it could be in the grey areas, it could be seen like a dual trigger, or binary trigger, where they've gone around where finger going back, and has been stretched to finger stopping is also considered a movement, which is in the grey area where some places see it as auto, but, i see it as the dumbest thing ever, as what's stopping people from designing a 3,4 or more trigger design where they can press all the triggers at once, whilst it's not considered auto, at the end of the day, are you proud of yourself when you squeeze 100 triggers at once just to mag dump cause it's technically allowed
I'm not too familiar with firearms, but I think it comes down to the fact that Steam supports it natively and Maple supports Steam natively. For what it's worth, Erda Fountain will be a single key press skill in a few months, so this debate will become irrelevant haha

this is cool and allc but how much funding do you need? Because im new to the game and want to hyper burn it?
Man don’t be self snitching bro
Controller farming is very useful for Thunder breakers, Blaster, etc. Any keyboard grindy chars, its op.
How so? dont TB and blaster require macros for farming with a controller?

Controller should be allowed, yes yes, because if there is a problem with how players are utilizing a class, then the issue is with the design.
nah this gotta be the laziest nw farming without macros

Combo button inputs are considered macros, afaik. I caution against using those.

Ah I misunderstood what you're saying. You're good on that front.

It's not macro. Everything is done manually
Lol it's so funny the things that people do to avoid playing the game. If I had to do this to keep playing, I think I'd quit.
Fr I stopped playing after PvP and Party Quests died. Grinding used to just be in preparation for the fun stuff unless you were climbing the rankings.
I like to use GDS on a button as well to place down before loot rotation then swap places to get back into my bite spot
This reminds me of my DA. Getting 12k kills by spamming nether shields. Just set a timer for loot cycles

What you're describing is against MapleStory TOS. I will not comment on that and I suggest you don't do this.
I thought any action without ur presence at the keyboard is illegal
this tutorial isnt even relevant to me u are just really good at explaining things LMAO u should give lectures
lmao, thank you for the compliment, means a lot!
Who is better NL or NW
Same question here! X2

what controller are you using ? and what CD equips do i need to make this efficient?
Just a random XBox controller. Any CD is ok. I do 4s + 1s Threads of Fate + Lv1 6th job. You can go higher ofc.
9 months later is this still legit????
What app is used for this again?
This is legit. It's Steam controllers.
Did u try two sd lines (-2 ?
Not yet, I might recube my damage hat when I get eternal
