The Malinda in the red dress is a sort of Taylor Swift character. She is strong and ended the relationship when she saw that it was a negative situation. And finally the Malinda in the black/yellow dress looked powerful. She broke everything off before the other Malindas, making sure she was safe regardless of the others. I feel like these are not alternate people or alternate situations. In my opinion they are the battling pieces of one Malinda's mind. She is afraid to leave him, yet she also knows this isn't right.
