Late Summer Walleye Fishing on the St. Clair River

- This video kicks off my fishing road trip across Ontario's Southwest region. We ventured onto the St. Clair River/Lake Huron out of Point Edward, Ontario. It was a fun morning of late summer walleye fishing with Lorne Font of Twin Bridge Fishing Charters. As a bonus, we had some multi-species action, and also had the opportunity to check out the local fish hatchery.

Looks like you were fishing two different rod combinations. What lines were you using? One appears to be a braided line. Looks like a fun place to fish.
Can't wait to return to Canada if they ever figure out the border mess. Scheduled again for January ice fishing up on Nipissing at Sucker Creek Landing...missed last year, hopefully am allowed to return soon. If not, I already have a January trip planned to Northern Maine for brook trout and landlocked salmon. May try and do both on the sale trip to save about eight hours of driving total.

@@SheLovesToFish come to the St.Clair in spring or fall and the Walleye is insane. People lined up shoulder to shoulder on the shore from Sarnia to stag Island.. everybody gets their limit within 2 hours easy.. my uncle is a HUGE downrigger fan for Salmon/Trout. Been with him in Owen Sound b4 for a Salmon derby

And that was a MASSIVE Drum! I hate catching them though... butt ugly and gross 🤢😂
