An update on Amber as from her parents. She is doing fantastic and continues to improve daily. I would like to point out please, as this has been questioned in the comments previously, that Amber was discharged from the Animal Hospital with a full course of antibiotics , pain killers and everything else that was needed for her recovery. The aftercare and follow ups where maintained by the fantastic team of Vets at North Clwyd Animal Rescue, to which the fantastic Dr Scott has championed in her recovery. Both Lisa and I are very touched by all your love and supportive words. Amber is a very special girl and is everything to us, aswell as living her best life.
Hello from another fan of the Belgian Malinois! Malinois' come in many color variations including the light fawn like Amber. Everything about her just screams purebred Malinois, her mannerisms, etc. You're going to have the time of your life with her. Regardless of what people say there are pet quality Malinois out there, even out of working Malinois litters. I would though train her to whistle recall, as the recall is the most important thing a dog can learn. Over a year ago I adopted a Malinois, but Maxine had severe behavioral issues, she would likely have faced euthanasia if I hadn't taken her home with me. Now she's a different dog even though there's more work to do.
Great respect to the 2 of you for taking this girl on , I rescue seniors that very few people want because they’re old but what they don’t know my seniors are great fun loving and so full of character , I wish the 3 of you a long happy life together ❤️❤️❤️
I enjoy Dr Scott being free to do, say or show whatever he would like to share!! I’m sure he’s enjoying that part too!! My hopes are for his future to flourish and he has everything his heart desires!! His part in the past shows always brought me joy and I’d love for him to have all the joy he’s given us ❤️
What an emotional journey as we watched Amber go from rags to riches with vets and rescue centres and wonderful kind and generous people that donated to her recovery and then having her leg useful and normal. She now has the chance of a long and happy life with a loving and kind forever home. My gratitude to vets and all medical people that do this amazing work on animals and of course the doctors and medics that heal and help sick people. Thank you all, you make this world a better place. Love to Amber and God bless you all.
It was a shock to see her released from the surgery in that condition...but thanks to the perseverance of many, there was improvement, slow but steady. It takes a lot of TLC and sacrifice by many to contribute to animal care and rescue as there are so many in need of help and support.
My first thought as well. That foot was already red and swollen. The family made no mention of her being sent home on antibiotics, which I figured would be pretty standard, especially with the type of surgery she had. Thank God and St. Francis that she is doing as well as she is. I hope her recovery and happiness continues for a long, long time.
As someone who has had a similar surgery myself, three days post surgery my arm was a balloon with massive bruising, even with no infection. Surgery, especially one this massive, aren’t a magic wand. Recovery can be brutal even if things go as expected
Happy to see Nate. This was a hard video to see because we couldn't be as close to the surgery as we usually are. Really wanting to support the channel.
I'm in America & watching this with all the emotions you're feeling! Yes, I have my tissues handy! I just can't quit watching! I'm so glad Amber has a family who is as interested in her the way she's interested in you! She's such a precious girl!!! Thank you for all you've done, & all you will continue to do for her!!! God's blessings on you!
Animals go through the mill, yet when they come back from horrendous injuries, they give all the love in the world...Amber your in a great place with a lovely couple who show their love unconditionally. May the parents and Amber have a long happy home. I can't stop smileing.
They always look worse before they get better. I had a Sphynx kitten who had surgery to fix a broken femur. She had pins and screws also. That leg swelled, and was so bruised after surgery that I thought she would have to lose the leg. She was on antibiotics, drugs for the inflammation, and various other supplements. She was only 4 months old when it happened. and it never slowed her down. She did recover, and had a long scar to remember the ordeal. She lived to nearly 20 years of age. (Jan Griffiths).
What an amazing outcome for such a beautiful dog who didn’t have the start to life she deserved but thanks to her wonderful new owners , she certainly has a bright future ahead 🐕❤
My heart was in my throat thinking after all you have done, she had such a bad infection. My heart soared seeing her healing well and starting an amazing life with her new family. Well done to all who helped this dog find the loving family she always deserved 👏 ❤️🎉
Awww amber couldnt be in any better home than the one dhe has now, her mum snd dad are very special people and love her so much, im so happy that ambers happy now and csn go on and live her best life, how beautiful is that 💖💖💖
When you showed us the infection poor Amber had, that had my heart in turmoil. I had hoped for a good outcome and thankfully the wonderful vet, team and donators made that happen. Ambers pawrents love and care are also a big part of her recovery. The news made my heart happy again.
You are both wonderful human beings. You obviously feel a true love for Amber. In opening your hearts you are giving her total happiness, it shows in her beautiful body as she skips around your loving home. I know you recognise what she is giving you both but believe me, you deserve it. May God bless you with many years together.
So wonderful to see. Please give us another update in a year. Hopefully her leg will continue to get better and her pain continue to lessen. I've had bone surgery and I know it takes a while to be pain free, but it does happen.
Yes, I cried. Just found this site today and watched both episodes. I absolutely love animals, love them. I have 3 rescues, cats, myself. Anyhow, THANK YOU to all the folks and the donations for making this possible for Amber! Thank you to the vets, and the folks at the rescue centers. God Bless you all tremendously!
Amber won the lottery with her adopters great parents loving caring I love her story. I’m very happy for her she’s a fantastic dog happy trails Amber🙏🙏🙏🙏🤗🤗🤗🤗♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
It fills my heart with joy knowing Amber's on her way to a carefree life with her new and loving owners. God bless you all, from southern California. We love you Dr. Scott!
I wish there was a heart button ❤❤❤❤❤❤ this poor girl started out in bad shape and although she had a bumpy road she came out richer then anything she could have ever imagined. Love love this!! Dr Scott you are an inspiration along with your team/teams and shelters. God bless all of you!!❤❤
In delighted you were able to raise the money for ambers surgery and I'm thrilled she's got her forever home it looks like she will have her parents running around in circles when her leg is fixed.
A very special thank you for Amber's owners. I have to agree Amber is a special and spiritual dog 🐕 she touched my heart and I live in Alabama in the USA. Please give her hugs and kisses for me! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
LOVE LOVE LOVE your work Dr Scott and everyone else involved in the process at rescue level and fosters and adoptees! From a fellow Aussie running a cat rescue in Adelaide SA!
You are so right Scott.....it takes a very big team of like-minded people to effect successful rescues.....just as it "takes a village to raise a child". That was just such a wonderful start to my day, Amber has her pack and Lisa and Kevin have another child with 4 legs. Thank you to Kevin and Lisa for making that visit to the Rescue Centre and meeting the beautiful, smart, loving Amber and finding space in their grieving hearts for another pup who needed them desperately.
That’s the most beautiful story. Hard but full of hope, trust and love that all prevailed. Bravo to all that put in love, effort, money, care, etc. She deserves a great life.
What a fantastic dog Amber is, Lisa and Kevin are such wonderful people and they are really meant to have such a wonderful dog like Amber. Good luck for the future. Thank you Dr Scott and everyone involved in Amber's recovery Thank you so much you are all🌟⭐💫✨
So thankful that gorgeous Amber has landed on 4 paws in the most amazing loving home, thank you to the army of helpers and for telling her story Dr. Scott 💞🤗❤🇳🇴
What a tough journey Amber has had and how beautiful that she's found such a loving forever home and also had the help of the team from the rescue centre and the very knowledgeable vets and specialists. I'm sure this precious girl will go on to lead a full and happy life now.
This poor fur baby was living on the streets, with a broken leg. It was obvious that it was causing her an extreme amount of pain. I can't believe how loving and trusting she is considering everything she is going through. It is so great to see her in her fur-ever home with such loving parents. So wonderful. Amber, you are truly living your best life.
Amber is just the sweetest pup! What a lovely girl that so deserved her happy ending! Wonderful episode, Dr. Scott, and as many others have said, so great to see Nathan! Love and appreciate your incredible work. All the best from Canada. 🇨🇦
It's great to see Amber doing so well! She's such a happy dog, with enough love for the whole world. One thing I found funny - when they were all on the patio and Dr. Scott was feeling her leg, she was quite obviously saying, "Stop messing with my leg and PET me, please!"
So lovely to see there was a happy ending for the lovely Amber and her new family after such a tough time. Was really concerned seeing how bad her post operative infection was but thankfully she was a strong girl and responded quickly to treatment once it was started by NCAR. Amber and her new owners are definitely the perfect match for each other and it’s obvious they are going to have a great life together full of love, fun and adventures 🐶❤
Gosh I haven't cried so much , Amber is absolutely beautiful that lovely couple who adopted her you are so special . I'm glad amber found you she is in for a wonderful life glad you were funded for all her cares. Also Dr Scott you are truly a special man you are hard to find from an animal lover and supporter a grateful kiwi❤❤❤❤❤
What a magnificent, gentle, kind, loving, gorgeous dog. I am so thrilled you all fell in love with each other. What a wonderful result. Now she can just be a happy puppy enjoy a wonderful life ahead, she has such a pretty, kind face. Pure love
What a good girl. You had me worried there when you left off part 1 with not good news but I'm glad she beat the infection and that her leg is healing nicely. I love her family she has.
So happy for Amber and her parents. She will have a happy life now that her leg is doing so much better!!! Thanks Dr Scott for this heartwarming rescue story😍

I was afraid Amber wouldn't make it. That leg looked so so bad. I cannot imagine the pain, but she had her humans and pushed through. Incredible.
