My hat off to Marcelo. It would be very difficult to me thinking living like that, constantly on the road. But they do have a common interest in Tarja's music, in addition to affection, that also helps. Thanks for this interview! Tarja was once the most important music and entertainment person here in Finland, and might still be, although nowadays she is so international and we see her less, unfortunately to us.
actually , now i believe she said, that her hubby is home in Spain tending to Naomi's education....always puzzles me how someone like her, a world class vocalist is among us like a ordinary mortal..the i put my pants one leg at a time, kind of thing...seems strange...
I love her interviews, I really enjoy listening to her beautiful voice while she is just talking, she has such a nice way to express herself. She is funny and entertaining and... modest. Her voice is like a melody I cannot get enough of. Besides she looks absolutely gorgeous, she is sooo... oh my good... lovely!
"I think people in general have seen too much of killer shark movies, that´s the problem." EXACTLY! Great interview and she seems to be so relaxed and happy. Thank you for sharing! :)
I don't venture much, but loved my reef tank. Frankly, Bobbie worms, box jellies and cone shell scare me more than the sharks, they are very difficult to see.
Actually. As an American I haven't ever heard her name pronounced as Tar-Jah. I mostly hear Tar-ee-uh. Because we just can't make that R correctly, and when it is followed by a Y like that, in North American English we say it as Tar-ee-uh. As if it rhymes with aria, or Daria. I haven't been around many Americans who could pronounce it correctly. But I have never not known who they were talking about when they said Taria. So. All good.
You know, America is not only United States and Canada my friend ;) Anyway she was referring only to Latin American (and Spain, why not) countries pronunciation. Tarja is read in Spanish Tar-Jah, and not Tar-ee-uh like as those who speak English. for example the Argentine Spanish, is a perfect fusion of two languages, Italian and Spanish, so we can make that R correctly because it is in our language. Usually the people who call her, Tar- Jah are people who don't know about her, but her Argentine fans say her name correctly, because we don't have difficulty with that R.
Ha! It's nice to see I'm not the only one! I heard it pronounced by her drummer tar-ya a few days ago and my exact reaction was 'oops!!' lol I guess it's just the difference in languages
@@Aurinkohirvi i love that too. do not have a body of ater near by , so i use a sound machine to simulate, rushing water, brook, thunderstorm and surf...nothings more relaxing with a possible exception of Tarja's voice
Well, it's hard to say foreign names like the natives do. Many languages don't have similar sounds, and so you ear (or brains really) doesn't even hear the sounds you should make.Yes, English speakers don't say her name right, neither do Spanish speakers. I do, I'm a Finn.

she once suggested to have her name's phonetic pronunciation tatood on her forehead and then gave her patented infectious laugh...
she likes the sound of water
Good answer! I've sit by lakes so many times, the sound of waves is so nice and relaxing.
