Honestly it’s so impressive how much you know about not only the LS platform but all cars. I feel like the majority of your audience learns something new every time you post. Keep up the great work Kayla!!
I’d second that Sam! I don’t have a Camaro, but just seeing stuff like this makes it feel so much less intimidating to do an install like this on my car. Nice job Kayla!
They were bottomed out so they weren’t able to function properly :( I needed a larger range to lower the Camaro and these KWs do that perfectly without bottoming out
Great stuff!! Just came across you channel last week. Glad I did as I have learned so much from you in such a short time. Keep that content coming in Kayla!
Get a impact set of sockets. I didn’t do this when starting and soon found out that you will break your stainless sockets Also I started with that same impact drill.
The reason your coils were moving is because you never set preload according to the instructions. You were likely negative preload, I have the same Coilovers (pedders) and they've got me through the 12s/11s and 30k miles
Look into upgrading at least the rear sway bar if you haven't already. I put a 22mm adjustable rear sway bar on my 2013 Acura TSX SE...it made a pretty large difference. The softer setting was a nice improvement but not enough for me. The stiffer setting was absolutely perfect and added characteristics of oversteer to my Front Wheel Drive TSX. Sway bar upgrades I definitely recommend
Thank you but I do already have the Detroit Speed Sway bars for the front and rear. They make a huge difference for sure. My car rides super stuff right now and is set up perfectly for my driving needs.
Nice upgrade. I did a tire rotation today a few hours ago thought I worked hard lol even cut my hand on the tire......-_______- also could have used that 6:21 had no gloves
Hey sometimes switching wheels around is a ton of work too. I had to dedicate two days on this suspension project but it was well worth it. Luckily I had awesome friends by my side!
Woah careful. When you were jacking up the car, one of the wheels on the jack got caught in the crack of the driveway 5:20 mark. If the jack wheel gets stuck, it cannot roll, and the car will fall off the jacking pad.
Hey Kayla, a quick question... Did you measure the clearance between top of the fender and the ground after the new coilover install, then again 200- 500 miles later to measure the amount of settling in the shocks/springs(if any)? You said in a comment that you were going to raise it a bit. Is that because it sits lower now than it was on the Pedders coilovers? PS Keep up the good work. From a viewer way up in Canada where we still have 12 inches of snow on the ground. It will be at least two more months before the Camaro gets back on the road up here in these parts. In the meantime, keep up with the content!
I didn't measure the before and after but I go off of visually what it looks like. With raising the car, the rear became the largest problem and my fender is sitting half way down on my tire. So it needs to be raised regardless since it's rubbing 24/7 now. In the next video, in a couple days, you'll see exactly what I am talking about.
Hey girl I love your videos, can you tell me what type of wheel do you have I have a 2014 Camaro rs v6 stock but i wanna upgrade suspension exhaust and wheels 🛞
Hi Kayla Did you paint your nails the same color as the coilovers n purpose ? You keep amazing me with your get it done attitude,I really enjoy watching the video,s Thanks
So happy that you noticed because YES I purposely matched my nails to the coil overs. Too bad they didn't last that long. Thank you so much for your support!
@@KaylaRundle oh okay! Asking from Europe so not sure what you were used to (other product or didn’t bother). I use a thin layer on every thread that might seize or see corrosion, and even behind brake pads (help alignement, prevents some caliper seizures and squeaking). Anyway, very sweet car and cool seeing you working on it!👍
What's worse is that people talk bad about a company even tho it's user error. Cutting into someone's living because you aren't educated isn't ok. It's also not your fault if you didn't install them tho. The preload being that loose is obvious someone adjusted the height after they were installed by loosening the spring collars. Ride quality got bad because overtime of driving like that your actual strut/shock blew from not having any help from the spring to hold the car up on rebound.
@@CesarBuildz That makes sense. I didn't talk bad on a company, this is proven across sources what certain coil overs are built for. I have driven on the Pedders for over 4 years and 70k miles so they failed over time. Maybe the original installer didn't install them properly like you were saying, who knows. They were bottoming out though which isn't good for coil overs, I agree!
👍 Your level of knowledge is crazy! I'm thoroughly impressed! I think you should take up welding and fab. With your artistic skills the next Chip Foose could be a woman!
i will say though one thing i recommend is properly torqueing every bolt to factory spec. not only engine but suspension as well. i wouldnt use an air gun to suck it down like that
This was way sexier than two girls and a cup! Big turn on when you see beautiful girls handling real tools, nuts and bolts for that good suspension 😏🤭🤗
Honestly it’s so impressive how much you know about not only the LS platform but all cars. I feel like the majority of your audience learns something new every time you post. Keep up the great work Kayla!!
Thank you so much Sam 🥰 I hope I’m able to help others out with my videos and also show the true side of installing and quality parts 👍🏼
I’d second that Sam! I don’t have a Camaro, but just seeing stuff like this makes it feel so much less intimidating to do an install like this on my car. Nice job Kayla!
Glad to see Mia taking part in your videos Kayla,, You and her together will make your channel grow so keep up the Great work!
She's such a trooper. Happy to hear you love it!
Looks like the pedders coilovers didnt have the proper preload on the spring.
They were bottomed out so they weren’t able to function properly :( I needed a larger range to lower the Camaro and these KWs do that perfectly without bottoming out

That is my goal. So happy to hear that!! Welcome to the Fam :)
Nice install, no comparison to KW's I run a set of their ST line and they've V3's on my RS3, game changing and worth the money spent hands down!
There ST Line is made in the same factory in Germany. Also amazing quality!! Great choice.
@@KaylaRundle Definitely, their ST line is the best budget coil imo out there 💪
Thanks!
Thank you!!
Look into buying a Milwaukee cordless impact and/or ratchet. Will save you time and energy! Keep up the good work and making the videos.
Chicago electric is the perfect starter tho. They are cheap but get the job done.
Great advice. I think it's time to invest in better tools. Even though it's fun to get personal with each individual bolt on the car haha
Very cool! 👍
Hey Kayla, your car is awesome and it's great to see you working on it.
Wow awesome coilovers love the colors ur lowering ur Camaro? great job 💪🏻 can't wait for part 2
Not planning on lowering it since it was already lowered on coil overs previously. These were installed to improve ride quality and capabilities.
Get a impact set of sockets. I didn’t do this when starting and soon found out that you will break your stainless sockets
Also I started with that same impact drill.
Oh yeah I've seen that happen too. I agree it's time to invest in some better tooling.

You were likely negative preload, I have the same Coilovers (pedders) and they've got me through the 12s/11s and 30k miles
We followed all instructions… I drove on them for 60k miles so they were ought to go out anyways

What size are the front tires I didn’t quite catch it during your video?
Are they 295 as well?
The front tires are 285! Very slight difference
Always get great ideas from your videos, I will be looking into these for my Vette 👍
What size wheels and tires do you run

Great choice of coilovers. I truly love watching you install and always working on your pride and joy. Awesome content 👍💯 Aussie Fan 🔥🇦🇺🤣
Thank you Grahame. I love working on my car, especially with great company.
Where'd you get those camber plates for the front?
Detroit Speed!
Alright thanks I've been having issues with the stock ones on my car
Just found your channel and love it! Great content, keep up the good work.

What an awsome upgrade 👌🏽
Outstanding...keep up the good work and informative videos!!! Car looks amazing.
Thank you so much!! It rides insane with the new suspension now.
German art of engineering. Very good choice Kayla. 👍🏻
Germans know how to do it!

Thank you so much for your support! so far but so close 🥰
Great job on the installation nothing like an extra pair of helpful hands! Got a nice coil over set looking forward to the next video!!!
My question might sound stupid but: you guys never use copper grease?
I have before but we did not use it in this situation.

Great work! You definitely seem confident working on your car yourself. That was a nice Abraham Lincoln tall hat reference as well 😄
Happy to hear you liked that one. It's fun to lighten the mood when working on cars.
Those cheaper coilovers didn't fail you, it was user error, the preload wasn't set correctly
I had them professionally installed and then 2 years in I had them aligned and fixed by another mechanic.

Strange and Viking coilovers are the best 🤤
Is it me thinking the rotors are on backwards?
Sorry sometimes the Camera flips and it gets confusing. Also for Rotors, they can be flipped based on what you are trying to achieve.
You should also have the car "corner weighted" make sure you have weight distribution to what it should be
I've been looking into doing that!
You did a amazing job
Thank you so much.
Great video , that Camaro is a beast !!
I wonder if you painted your finger nails yellow to match the springs. lol Great team work you two. Anticipating the end result.
I actually did!!! Haha but it didn’t last long installing them 🤣
Hey Kayla, I am new to your channel and think it is rad 🤘🏼 looking forward to the rear coil over installing video.
Thank you so much. Welcome to the Family!

Very good choice! Well done my girl!
Thank you so much!
Great teamwork
Couldn't do it without them!
Well done, I was scared you were going to damage your fenders, cover them up when working on your car
I haven't even gotten to wet sanding my new paint yet. Everything is fixable but I will look into protecting it in the future.
I love your videos kayla I'm from the middle east
5th generation Camaros are the best
I agree. Such a wonderful vehicle
I used to have a 2010 rs V6. But I live in Massachusetts and it snows a bit. I want an ss now that I have more of a real job
damn i had a feeling she was from az after watching a few videos. im from az and i got a maro also.

Kayla: Pretty soon you will have a permanent booth at the SEMA show. Not..much that have left untouched on your car. Cool video👍
That would be the goal!!
@@KaylaRundle Kayla: Told you this before, you are well on your way to making a big mark on the aftermarket car world. Keep it up👍
Hi Kayla can't wait to hear that mighty Beast run =)
I forgot to include her chopping in this one... soon!!
Did you think they could send a free set too? BTW don’t forget to tighten the lug nuts!
Companies never send products for free. All bolts were torqued properly.
@@KaylaRundle Ok thx!
Looks good Kayla I like were your going with your camaro 👍
Thank you so much. I am so excited to have all the suspension perfected now 😩
Sitting real nice🔥🔥🔥🔥💪
Thank you so much Shawn! I love it but I am planning on raising it a bit.
KW CS2 is definitely great but even at their price they’re still like half the price of most JRZ or Motion Control coils
There is ALWAYS a cheaper and more expensive option for anything. I wanted the best of both worlds.
GREAT COILOVERS for the BAD ASS Car..
Thank you. These are a total game changer!!
Your old coilovers seemed like they were not set up properly…
I love your videos!!
Thank you so much 🤍
Kayla Rundle and Reckless Raquel Collab needs to happen
We have done stuff in the past together. Check earlier videos from a year ago!

Wish KW would send me a set of coil overs all the way to South Africa LOL
KW is based out of Germany so they are closer to you than me. Reach out to them, they ship anywhere!
You were taught well young grasshopper
