    I enjoy watching your testing. I'm an industrial scale technician, so setting up tests can be challenging, but very rewarding. Finding solutions to difficult to identify problems, is a very fun part of my work.

    Well, I was playing with my bucket today too. I had to clean my driveway and yard of 14" to 18" of snow. It took me about 3 hours including the 10 minutes or so of getting stuck and unstuck. It was dark, below 25 degrees with the wind blowing, and still snowing when I finished. 😁 That's my teeth chattering, not a smile. Enjoy your barn, all I've got is the great outdoors.

    Tim it is great to watch you and the cats. I have watched many of your videos while trying to decide between 1025R, 2025R, & 2032R. Too late for me now, but for future viewers doing this same weight capacity chart for the 1025R & 2025R would be the most helpful comparison. I had asked the dealer for this info, and asked for recommendation to pick up logs under 1000 pounds for up to 18 inches. He was not helpful. I saw contradictory videos showing the 1025R struggling with 1000, 700, 500 pounds a few inches off ground and others having no problems. Saw 8 foot 12 - 15 inch logs and 1000 pound loaded skid driving off with no problem at mid height. Thanks for your most helpful videos.

    Fun video Tim and Mary. I bent the left bucket lift arm on my 855 a little when I hit a hidden stump with the bucket. It's not effected bucket work so I leave it alone. I hear ya on wanting winter to be over, I long for leaving my windows open again. ✝️👈

    Finally pulled the trigger on a 2038r. I wanted the 2032r but they didn't think they'd get that one in till Q1 2021 so I am now the owner of a 2038r! I am not even sure the difference matters for my tasks, but next step is an Artillian!

    Hey Tim,
    New subscriber here and new 1025r owner (thanks in part to you). I have 5 acres around my home and enjoy watching your videos. I was wondering if you have a plan to make a video that dumbs down tractor function down to even simple start up process and PTO use. I’m new to the tractor world and the manual left me more confused on some of the nuances as it pertains to what RPM I should use and when and for what implements.
    Thanks for you videos! Super entertaining.

      Would be pretty close, even Kubota runs on lower pressure. If you want to compare to 2038, than B2650 or B3350 with loader LA534. B2601/2301 are equivalent to 2025 (smaller frame 2 series).

    My Deere 1050 is rated for 1800 pounds of lifting force, says it'll hold (can't remember exactly) 950 pounds at full height, has 2800 lbs breakout force. But being the best/most refined 1050 made being an 88' she has the bigger pump, heaviest front end/portals and spindles and hydraulic pressure is about 2100-2250 spec
    However no one knows this tractors lifting capacity.

    Hey Tim, Any chance of you doing the same test with forks? That's where I really struggle to gauge what my 2038r can and can't pick up. Loaded pallets, etc.

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      hard to be 'objective' with forks. The biggest thing you can do to help is to evaluate the distance from the pin. Make sure you get the heaviest part of the load next to the loader. You could have a 300 lb load on a pallet that couldn't be lifted if it is on the 'far side' of the pallet. ...make sense?

    Happy Holidays, Tim. I hope your Christmas with the family was good. Thanks for all the videos you make. With you being such a big promoter of the sub compact tractors, I’m wondering if you’ve heard any news of JD brining a factory cab to the 2032 and 2038 models. I have a 1025r with cab but the 2038 would be the perfect tractor for my needs. However I dislike the Curtis and Tektite options and I know the European 2038rs have a Mauser cab option. I’d have to think there would be a pretty large market for the Mauser cabs so I’m wondering how hard JD is pushing or being pushed to sell these in the US. Thanks and I hope to hear back from you.

      I find the 3R loaders the most difficult to attach. Is it stuck? Usually, I can wiggle it with the hydraulics enough to get it to free up. Sometimes driving a bit forward and back while working the hydaulics.

    "Yeah, that single-point connector is great." - hmm - subtle message to Deere to make the JD1025r so - much like a certain "orange-tractor" manufacturer ?? Sure looks to me like a nice revision to our 4 single connectors which could either get stepped on through accidental inattention or be damaged by scrub-brush and tree limbs. Thanks again for the video - cat is too cute by the way.

      I have the L3800. I think that the lifting power is very low for a tractor that size. There is only a slight increase over the L2500.
      My biggest complaint is that with the hydrostatic transmission, the low gear is sometimes not low enough. In mud or on ice the wheels will spin. It needs a lower gear.

    • @sonsofliberty3081
      @sonsofliberty3081 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kioti and mahindra both have great lift capabilities, BUT... the kioti doesn't have enough weight built into the tractor. Mahindra does but I didn't think it was as comfortable to operate as the jd. Also, kabota is too light as well. From a operator's standpoint, jd is hard to beat. I have a 01 4400. It's heavy enough that I put 1400lb hay bales in the barn 2 high. I can't put anything on the rear because I need the room to maneuver. I also can't get it to lift the 1400lbs over 2 high and have to stack the 800lb bales on the 3rd level. It's because of lift capacity and not weight in the ass, it just won't lift that much weight over 5 to 6 feet. At the bottom of the bale. My complaint about the tractor is power. It's just a hair under powered. 37hp, it should probably be 42. Good motor, it's a yahnmar, just if you live on hills is eats up that power because it's so heavy, especially with loaded tires.

    That's real hydraulic pressure 3000 psi. Your into the big industrial pressures

    Hey Tim, what RPM did you set your 2038R at during the lift?

    • @RCSwan48
      @RCSwan48 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      On my 1025R I noticed the lift as well as bush hog differences between low rpm and maximum rpm. I’m an engineer too but not in hydraulic system. Still learning like a sponge!

      Full Throttle.

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should run at high rpms for most work. Any PTO operation should be done at or above the ‘PTO’ rpm mark on the tach.

    • @JamesKlafehn
      @JamesKlafehn 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TractorTimewithTim less lift though. How much were you able to lift with the 1025? I read that the 2025 is 880lbs. I’m trying to lift 884lbs with my 2019 2025 and can’t.

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only difference is hydraulic pressure.
      You must be looking at the ‘at the pin’ number.
      500mm in front of the pin is just over 500lb...this is the accurate number.

    • @JamesKlafehn
      @JamesKlafehn 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TractorTimewithTim What is the pin? So my 2025 is only rated at 500lbs forward of the pin? I am using forks.

    Say you have the same loader but on different tractors....regarding lift capacity, what's the more important factor, hydraulic pump flow or pump pressure?

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pressure.

    • @erichess5566
      @erichess5566 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TractorTimewithTim Thanks for the response...is pressure still the predominant factor in the speed of operation or is this where flow comes into play? Thanks again and I hope you are feeling better after your stent!

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Higher pressure yields more strength.
      Higher flow yields higher speed of operation.

    Gotta keep Deere honest! More companies need customers to do that. It's like the auto industries in the 70's. To keep insurance prices down for consumers they fudged on hp ratings.

    Hi Brother, I am cutting back on moving company and growing mini excavation company with excavator and tractor etc. Just sold 16' 3500lb axle car hauler and replacing with 5200lb axle GATORMADE equipment hauler. Thinking wise to get 20' for only $600 more as growing business and will haul longer loads including not having pick up trucks hangout out oven end of trailer. Any advice?
