The Kate Bishop/ Yelena Supercut on TH-cam is so fab. Their chemistry is so good, I could watch an entire season of them just hanging out shopping and stuff. They are implying that Hawkeye's wife is Bobbi Morse, his on and off again wife from the comics, which does not make sense as Bobbi has already appeared in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. played brilliantly by Adrianne Palicki. (Have you done AoS yet ?) If you want to read the books both Hawkeye v4 and v5 inspired this series. Both are awesome.
Merry Christmas! Just quick note about the watch, it was taken in the Avengers new base after the whole Thanos incident in Avengers Endgame and it's a reference from a character in the comics called Mockingbird, a SHIELD agent that was romantically envolved with Hawkeye in a certain point. Laura isn't Mockingbird as far as we know (since this character appeared in Agents of SHIELD), but the watch was a nod to the fact that Hawkeye's wife was a SHIELD agent at some point.
You haven't seen Daredevil's KP because Netflix's version of the Kingpin in the MCU is not identical to ours. One of our precious directors recently inadvertently released a partially missinterpreting information about DD being part of the larger MCU continuity. However, it is only partially true. Basically, a lot of moments happened in the alternate timeline and in the MCU as well, but some things we decided to leave out or change.
The watch and the ronin suit/sword were in the avengers compound when it was destroyed by Thanos when he fought them the second time and it was found and stolen in the wreckage. As for the watch, it was owned by a former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, she's actually Agent 19, also known as Mockingbird, hawkeyes wife. In the comics hawkeye is trained by the swordsman, so Jack Duquesne is a nod to that comic origin.
The better idea would be Hawkeye and Black Widow show with a team up of Kate (Hawkeye) and Yelena (Black Widow). Unfortunately Yelena is booked already for The Thunderbolts movie. Kate will eventually be in the next one (possibly two) Avengers films. As for Clint? If we see him again it'll be in a very limited role. Jeremy Renner can barely walk now due to his snowplow accident.
My guess is that Kingpin loses an eye after recovering from a concussion, because I doubt he'll die so easily and the last thing he said was he hoped they could meet eye to eye.
Regarding the watch... In the comics Hawkeye isn't married, but he's had a few romantic interests over the years. One of the big/main ones was a hero by the name of Mockingbird. Mockingbird is also a member of SHIELD with the designation of Agent 19. When Hawkeye's wife flips over the watch, you can see a '19' stamped below the SHIELD emblem, implying that she's the Mockingbird of this universe (another Mockingbird showed up elsewhere in MCU-aligned stuff, so...)
The watch means, that she once was Agent 19 (of S.H.I.E.L.D.) code name Mockingbird. - a comic reference en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mockingbird_(Marvel_Comics). Which also explaines how and why she was able to support him so well and was OK with his escapades.
A lot of people freaked because they interpreted the watch to mean his was was the former Mockingbird, but that character was played by Adrianne Palicki in Agents of Shield. She _is_ a former agent, however. I expected her to show p in episode 5 or 6 to save Clint at the last minute, but I was wrong. The LARPers were great, and inviting Jack was a great touch. No, I don't think Kingpin is dead. As you say, we didn't see it happen. He's just too useful a villain to throw away. Daredevil will return. Marvel had to wait for a certain amount of time after the Netflix series stopped. IIRC he'll show up in 2024. Supposedly Maya is getting her own series as well. Actually DD showed up in She-Hulk, a great show. Many folk, I feel, just didn't get the show because they were expecting yet another super-hero series when the producers said they were making a serio-comic attorney show with super-hero elements. They also stirred in some pretty trenchant commentary. Loved it.
I know we're getting more Kate, but we need more Jack too. They're both stupidly rich and can EASILY bankroll a team, with Clint acting as their Bosley or Charlie, putting together missions and dossiers.
Hey Emme! Glad you enjoyed this series. About Fisk, he survived being shot by Maya. He’s gonna appear in Maya’s TV Series Echo, which releases in two weeks. Like another person said in the comments, this is based off of a storyline from the comics where Fisk got shot in the eye and survived. He’s also gonna appear in Daredevil’s next show, Daredevil: Born Again. Whenever that’s coming out lol
One episode of "What If Happy Hogan saved Christmas" is so much better as a Christmas-themed MCU content than a six-episodes Hawkeye show. Hoping Disney would do more of the former than the latter if they're insisting on producing Christmas-themed MCU contents in the future. Last but not least, Merry Christmas to you, Em !!!
Black Widow assassins never, never refuse to make a kill once they accept a mission. The point of the organization is that they inspire absolute terror because it is so hard to stop them once they begin a hunt. You cant bribe them to stop. An assassin who take bribes will find no work and probably would be killed by their own organization. Sending Yelana was actually a stupid move. Because it was Barton, Val thought the motivation to kill him for revenge would inspire Yelana to go up against an Avenger. It would have been smarter to give the assignment to any other Widow who would have shown no mercy at the kill.
9:20 Right now you’re missing that it’s not about the money it’s about Natasha. We’ll see how it turns out! You got it!! The only thing I think should have happened that didn’t was that Yelena should have joined them for Christmas. The Barton family and Natasha did know each other so it would have been nice for her.
Random thoughts and points: * They expanded the Rogers musical and performed it at Disneyland for a while. Stopped, but you can find it on TH-cam. * Hawkey's wife is Mockingbird, a character that also showed up in Agents of Shield. * In the comics, Echo (deaf character) shoots Fisk in the eye, but he returns with a new eye; doesn't die. Not sure about the MCU but assume he's not dead. * They wanted a deaf Native American to play Echo. They best choice also happened to have a prosthetic leg. That isn't in the comics, but the actual actress. * Fisk is physically much more strong and tough here then in Daredevil. No one knows if that is a alternate universe or if he got ahold of supper soldier serum. Both make sense.
Ever since I saw the elevator scene, I am convinced that Kate and Yelena become partners. They have too much chemistry together. Also, Kate needs to get a series of her own.
So the story going into this season for most viewers was "this show will be pretty bland or meh" just because Clint had been a somewhat background hero imo for part of the MCU... But it ended up being my personal favorite show. Or very close with the likes of WandaVision and Loki. Probably the 2nd best acting performance by a lead too in any of the shows. A+ for me!
Yelena is still trying to kill Clint because nothing changed for her. The identity of who hired her really doesnt matter to Yelena, she just gave Kate the info because she likes Kate.
kate specifically told yelena that if someone told yelena clint was a bad guy, yelena needed to take another look at who hired her. so yelena did, and as you say she did it for kate. but you're also correct yelena would have come even without a contract.
I know this part is a little confusing, but I don't think Kate's mother is ultimately responsible for Yelena being there. The timing doesnt work. Something was already in motion with Julia Louis Dryfus' character causing Yelena to target him, then Kate's mom didn't want Hawkeye encouraging or helping Kate to look into Armond's murder and the corporate ties behind the Track Suits. Her call was to Kingpin, who's resources somehow found out that Hawkeye already had this contract out on him, and spilled to whoever was controlling that where he was, which got back to Yelena. Or something like that.
what "timing" do you think doesn't work? there's nothing in the movie to say that scene at the graveyard doesn't take place during the events of this show.
Why spoil this? She’s watching in order, but she watches blind, telling her who’s returning takes away from things she can actually wait to see for herself & maybe get surprised rather than have it told to her beforehand by someone
As good as this show was, it missed a big opportunity by not having a Pizzadog episode. The comics run much of this show was based on had an issue told entirely from Pizzadog's point of view. A big sequence of this show - not necessarily an entire episode, but a few minutes of one - done the same way would have been really fun. Also, that end credits scene should have ended with Yelena in the audience IMO.
I believe the mother took so long to find Kate at the beginning during the attack was because she was taking out her husband. Remember they were arguing about selling the swanky penthouse due to financial problems? She probably pushed him out one of those holes in the side of the building then went looking for Kate. Now she inherits what's left and starts business with Fisk then voilla! She gets to keep her Penthouse apartment in the sky!
The watch is insinuating that Laura was an Agent of Shield, Agent 19. If you watched the ABC show Agents of Sheild, she would be Mockingbird. Her name in that series was Bobbi Morse.
you are almost ready to watch the Echo trailer now (: The number on the watch indicate her agent number. Did you notice the people performing the musical are the LARPers?
I think that it is obvious that they cut a scene where Maya was at the party. Look at that full face of "going out to a fancy party" makeup, and her hair being down instead of bun'd up on top of her head. If I am wrong, her look in this episode is one of the worst continuity f*ckups in Marvel history.
let's be honest. i love hailee steinfeld, and kate bishop has many positive qualities, including real skill at fighting and with the bow. but her main superpower in the show is being a pretty rich white girl.
The Watch...... the watch is a SHIELD retirement watch. it was given to LAURA the wife of Hawkeye after she retired - ''Avengers Age of Ultron'' - ''Fury help me set this up'' the number on the watch is 19 ''19'' is the code number given to the Agent who holds the code name ''Mockingbird'' - the Mockingbird code name was created by SHIELD to combat the Black Widow program that Nat was part of... in the comic books.... Mockingbird and Hawkeye were an item and were ''partner Agents'' who later married.... this is how Laura spoke german, was able to find the history of SLOAN Enterprise, why she knew about ''The Big Guy'', the Tracksuit Mafia and why she trusted Hawkeye's judgement...... the watch was an Easter Egg for the comic book reader and filled in the relationship with Nat for the Barton family, Hawkeye and Nat are best friends, Laura is not threatened by that relationship, because she as a fellow Agent was there in the beginning to help build it and was more than likely a part of the team sent to kill her, but decided instead to save her. a lot of what I have stated comes from the comic books, some is inferred from the scenes in the black widow movie and this series.... so please take it with a grain of salt...... the important thing is to know that Laura was once a SHIELD Agent in the MCU..... like Hawkeye, Black Widow, Agent 13 Sharon Carter, Coulson, Fury and Marie Hill

I'm not sure if it was already addressed, but after the Snap, Clint lost it. He lost his family and all the rotten/evil people were still walking around doing bad things. He took it upon himself to rid the world of all the bad people, well, everyone he could get his hands on. We saw him at the end of the line in Endgame when Natasha brought him in and gave him hope--Clint was committed to ending everyone thug, mob boss you name it until someone did him in or until the job was done. If you recall, earlier in Endgame, Natasha was asking Rhodes to find him and he was always one step behind, all he found was the carnage left in Ronin's wake. Yikes!
..and in case you didn't know, Maya is also known as Echo and she has her own Marvel series dropping on Jan 9th...it's 5 Eps and by the way one of the stars of it is Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin....I think it might be an origin story....can't wait !!
Dude don’t spoil cast members or anything, she knows what to watch & goes in blind
then you're saying I should not mention DareDevil? 😂 @@py16667
Vera Farmiga is in The Conjuring. She’s a good person and mother in those movies
Nothing says Christmas like a trick arrow that probably took someone’s eye out. That “shrapnel” arrow was evil.
Thanks for the reaction videos, always fun to see you enjoy something I like so much.
Thanks SOOOO much for Reacting to this Series, Emme! I LOVED it! See you soon!
Thank you for timing the TH-cam release for Christmas.. 👏👏
Merry Christmas Emme. Thank you for the great videos this year
Laura was part of the Shield decision that was a counter for the Black Widows. That’s also why she’s good at research and speaks multiple languages.
Only why lol
The Kate Bishop/ Yelena Supercut on TH-cam is so fab. Their chemistry is so good, I could watch an entire season of them just hanging out shopping and stuff.
They are implying that Hawkeye's wife is Bobbi Morse, his on and off again wife from the comics, which does not make sense as Bobbi has already appeared in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. played brilliantly by Adrianne Palicki. (Have you done AoS yet ?)
If you want to read the books both Hawkeye v4 and v5 inspired this series. Both are awesome.
Yay! More Marvel Christmas from Emme! Thanks for all the great reactions! Happy Holidays Everyone🎄
Now that Laura's secret identity is out, i would love to see Linda Cardinelli bring her character out in an action role.
What a great show! Kingpin is truly scary
I've seen the actor who plays Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio) in so many movies , but he'll always be Private Pyle to me from "Full Metal Jacket."
He will always be Edgar the giant cockroach from MiB to me
What a fun Christmas show!
Both can be Mockingbird as both Clint and Kate are Hawkeye.
In the comics Jack is actually a Avenger called the.... Swordsman.
Merry Christmas Emme.
Merry Christmas! 🎄
I was thinking the same thing and I like the commentary
The watch and the ronin suit/sword were in the avengers compound when it was destroyed by Thanos when he fought them the second time and it was found and stolen in the wreckage. As for the watch, it was owned by a former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, she's actually Agent 19, also known as Mockingbird, hawkeyes wife. In the comics hawkeye is trained by the swordsman, so Jack Duquesne is a nod to that comic origin.
his wife is a shield agent named code name mockingbird
I need a second season with this amazing relationship between Kate and Clint idc 💕
Before he would order his trick arrows from Temu and Wish
Love your Hawkeye series reaction =)
My guess is that Kingpin loses an eye after recovering from a concussion, because I doubt he'll die so easily and the last thing he said was he hoped they could meet eye to eye.
Merry Christmas Emme!
Merry Christmas everybody
His full name is Lucky the Pizza Dog.
It's a great time for the last Hawkeye episode!!
I wouldn't say Jack is "normal guy"... He does participate in underground black market auctions of stolen and illegal items.
I don't think it's the end of Wilson Fisk. As usual on screen: We don't see a body? Not dead!
She's going after hawkeye because she was told that Hawkeye was the reason that Natasha died
9:20
Right now you’re missing that it’s not about the money it’s about Natasha. We’ll see how it turns out!
You got it!!
The only thing I think should have happened that didn’t was that Yelena should have joined them for Christmas. The Barton family and Natasha did know each other so it would have been nice for her.
Random thoughts and points:
* They expanded the Rogers musical and performed it at Disneyland for a while.
Merry Christmas! 🎄♥️
A+ for me!
She still wants to kill Clint because she still thinks he's responsible for Natasha being dead.
We know Kingpin will be back in the new Daredevil show.
Why spoil this? She’s watching in order, but she watches blind, telling her who’s returning takes away from things she can actually wait to see for herself & maybe get surprised rather than have it told to her beforehand by someone
We didn't see it because this series is not rated MA. Her upcoming series is. Also, Kingpin is superhuman tough, so he might have survived
Or Scott Lang being there would have been funny too.
@@Josh_Lee_Henderson Yeah, having them sitting next to each other unintentionally would have been even funnier.
NEVER, EVER Mess with a Female LARPER! ESPECIALLY the smaller ones that carry two weapons! They're Fast, Crafty and unrelenting in their attacks!
you are almost ready to watch the Echo trailer now (: The number on the watch indicate her agent number. Did you notice the people performing the musical are the LARPers?
Please watch the Echo Trailer!
No, let her go in blind like usual & actually be surprised when she sees things
I think that it is obvious that they cut a scene where Maya was at the party. Look at that full face of "going out to a fancy party" makeup, and her hair being down instead of bun'd up on top of her head. If I am wrong, her look in this episode is one of the worst continuity f*ckups in Marvel history.
👍👍👍👍👍👍❤❤
extra funny about the chrismas line because there Jewish
We need more Kate Bishop and Yelena going forward 🙏
let's be honest. i love hailee steinfeld, and kate bishop has many positive qualities, including real skill at fighting and with the bow. but her main superpower in the show is being a pretty rich white girl.
The Watch......
the watch is a SHIELD retirement watch. it was given to LAURA the wife of Hawkeye after she retired - ''Avengers Age of Ultron'' - ''Fury help me set this up''
the number on the watch is 19
''19'' is the code number given to the Agent who holds the code name ''Mockingbird'' - the Mockingbird code name was created by SHIELD to combat the Black Widow program that Nat was part of...
in the comic books.... Mockingbird and Hawkeye were an item and were ''partner Agents'' who later married....
this is how Laura spoke german, was able to find the history of SLOAN Enterprise, why she knew about ''The Big Guy'', the Tracksuit Mafia and why she trusted Hawkeye's judgement......
the watch was an Easter Egg for the comic book reader and filled in the relationship with Nat for the Barton family,
Hawkeye and Nat are best friends, Laura is not threatened by that relationship, because she as a fellow Agent was there in the beginning to help build it and was more than likely a part of the team sent to kill her, but decided instead to save her.
a lot of what I have stated comes from the comic books, some is inferred from the scenes in the black widow movie and this series.... so please take it with a grain of salt......
the important thing is to know that Laura was once a SHIELD Agent in the MCU..... like Hawkeye, Black Widow, Agent 13 Sharon Carter, Coulson, Fury and Marie Hill
