You need to stay in the trade because you have a gift of design and engineering especially for a man your age not too many young men even want to get to your level you will do well just keep up the great work I'm a retired machinist and trained a lot of young men but very few could get to your level great work
Thanks! That motivates me a lot. I'm actually doing an apprenticeship as an electronics technician, I only do that as a hobby :)
Clever idea and nicely executed !
Thanks
Cool you just explained to me how the direct feed is accomplished thanks buddy
Saying good is extremly simplistic!Go on like this!😀
I salute you, Sir. You are very clever and very gifted.
Without a doubt, a great job.
And thinking, changing the size of those pulleys you can make metric threads and others, of course, calculating the pitch.
Except that with just friction drive from the belt, you can't rely on a repeatable ratio between the spindle and the power feed. Same problem the Taig lathes have.
wow, that's a great belt-driven idea! nice!!!
Thanks :)
You are a true genius, great work.
Been waiting for this part, great stuff as always!
thanks :)
Great job! Thanks Ron
Awesome work !!
4:09 saya tak dapat hentikan tertawa🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
tapi secara keseluruhan, saya takjub. modifikasi Anda⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
From the Back 😂
Great idea really works very well.
Ficou excelente 👏👏👏👏 estou tentando fazer um também
Great Job, Sir👌
Show de bola parabéns
New subscriber from Kanada. Thanks for sharing your ideas. My homemade mill/lathe appreciates it.
Brilliant!
Excellent design
Dude, thats badass!!!
That was extremely incredible, i'm from algeria and i'm a big fan of your homemade lathe, keep it up bro 🔥❤️
Thank you very mutch 😊
@3:02 - brilliant idea!!
@16:09 you had the right idea using the brush. Make yourself a little stand that attaches to your crossslide magnetically. You can even make an attachment to hold your cutting fluid bottle.
Yes good Idea. I actually know this already from Fireball Tool. Jason built something like that..
Witam z Polski bardzo ciekawy pomysł zostawiłem suba i łapkę w górę pozdrawiam miłego dnia
Simply : Genius!!👍👍
Respekt. So eine Arbeit. Genial.
Danke :)
Kudos to you young man for all those fine ideas. Whilst I don't know your age, it seems you cannot be more than 20 years old, at max, are you? Keep it up as the future doesn't always look bright! However, being dexterous and handy with tools helps in any case and can get you out of any sticky situation.
Very. Very good job, bravo !
Thanks :)
Great job sir, excellent salute
You constantly amaze me with your skill's and design ability's Auto feed Awesome idea keep at it young man 😁😁🤘🤘
Nice work!
Nice work
Awesome work 🙌🙏
Thanks :)
Well done
Awesome
Beatiful 👍
Great job felicitations
🎉🎉🎉
awesome
That's honestly a genius way to implement the power feed.
Have you thought of how to do thread cutting? Or are you skipping that option?
Thanks :) I haven't needed it until now, but you could simply change the diameter of the toothed belt pulleys so that the pitch of the thread fits...
@@dexter1448 but what if the belt slips? You lose your pitch position
Very talented young man with excellent video quality. My only question would be that chuck shaft is solid? So no long material going through although you do have long lathe bed between centres.
Outstanding
Thanks 😄
you are very smart and creative
Very cool videos you have here. Peace from 🇨🇦
Good video
I THINK IT'S VERY COOL!
Good work bro
Thanks :)
very creative....
Hey man, any chance you could share the CAD models of your lathe?
Very good man😎👍
Thanks :D
What a ambitious goal you have happening. This me, I'm Keith from Michigan USA. Doing projects like these, in my opinion, so people get really deep into those computer games. Now you have something you can say! I MADE THIS... Good work man, hopefully you are protecting your eyes, wearing glasses. Hopefully your give me a reply
Hello Keith,
Thank you for your comment and your praise :D
Yes, I really should wear goggles! I forget too often :(
If you have any questions please ask, I'll try to answer every comment...
I wish you a nice weekend
Robin
very good
Thanks :)
This is freakin' smart 😎
Thanks 😀
congratulation that your long Lathe Video has 300k views 😉🥳 fully deserved
@@dexter1448 thank you a lot 😁😁
FABULOSO TORNO.
Thanks 😄
Better is the enemy of good enough.
Alles in allem echt krass 👏
Danke sehr, nein, das ist der Frequenzumrichter...
for what you have to work with dam nice job
Grandios !!! May I ask what you do professionally?
Yes Sir. Wonder if it work on unimat db200 its just smaller . Thanks
Hi, just discovered your channel and playlist. The videos are backwards in the playlist and play in reverse order. Can you fix that?
What kind tolerance does it hold any taper
This is what happens when you let your kids be creative
So you must thinking about stophswitch for auto-feeding in the left position
What?
Sorry for my English
@@alexkhilkov 👍 good idea
Mach bitte weiter so.
Great work. We shared this video (alongside your other lathe ones) in our homemade tools forum this week 😎
Well the shaft is long enough you can put a gear to a gear with a pulley like that one and the second on your handle and have it feed the other way
Or similarly, the worm shaft can have a similar pulley on the opposite end, and the worm can be slid one way or the other to provide drive in either direction
awesome but there is one problem use metal gear instead of aluminum it will lose after some time
I am again concerned about tools rigidity using slide bearings... isnt it gonna be sloppy??
No, the speed is very slow, so there is very little abrasion. Besides, it doesn't matter if there's a little bit play...
Hi dexter mega cooles Videos.
Wo hast du die vollwelle her?
which?
@@dexter1448 da engrenagem que você usina no dispositivo
@@antoniomorais6380 around 80mm
@@dexter1448 Valeu um abraço
Nice idea using a clutch. Be warned, they slip.
Yes, ive used them already for 20+ hours.
Very Good, works without problems...
Yaaaaaaa
I'm happy that someone comments so quickly, even though I've been away for two months :D
❤️ it's just awesome 😍
I think in the next video you will upgrade your lathe bearing
are you going to make a buggy
Good jop
Freita at home with all this equipment then you don't know what home made is 😅
Excellent!🖕
I think I need a milling machine to make a lathe.
But also, you need a lathe to make a milling machine...
Oto fon Bismark 😅😅😅
4:10 wrong hole 😂
My dear, I do not believe that this device will be able to linearly advance the longitudinal carriage of the lathe, because the contact between the belt and the pulley is very bad and, as soon as the tool comes into contact with the material to be machined, this device will probably lose its synchronism and constancy.
Hello,
no, it works great.
The gearbox makes so mutch torque, that you cant stop the carriage..
Whatch the end of the Video and you will see...
My dear, not stopping doesn't mean the belt won't slip. As long as the belt is new I believe this works relatively well, however as the belt deteriorates I think there will be slipping. For a simple machining, this won't even have much effect, but if this device is used for threading, a mere slip can ruin an entire thread.
@@claudio668 I dont use it to cut Threads...
This would not work with this gear.
But in my case the Gearbox produce as mutch Torque that you cant stop the handwheel from spinning.
@@dexter1448 So it's perfect and I agree with you.😁
@@claudio668 ok nice 😄
