We need klapka to stay in the nhl long term and develop he’s a mutant you can’t find 6’8 that easily
I'm not too bothered if none of them make it to the NHL. We need to prioritize the prospects we draft NOW and for the next couple of seasons, while continuing to play guys like Zary, Coronato, and Wolf

I think it's important to see what we have in these guys at the very least. This upcoming season should be used to cycle alot of prospects into the lineup for 10ish game stints.
Sure hope the Flames give Sam Morton a look for the first bit of the season, maybe he can even play his way into a spot in training camp. Dude has a nose for the net, need more guys like him!
Morton, Lipinski, Honzek, and Brzustewicz should all hopefully get a good chance, whether it’s next season or later! 🔥🔥🔥
I don't think Klapka s/b on that list. He just finished his second year in the A and improved his production from .42 PPG to .7 PPG year over year and was over a PPG in the playoffs. Not sure how much more could have been expected. If he has a summer like last year I think he will make the team out of camp.
I don't think the clock on Schwindt is running out. I think he projects as a third/fourth line center and is trending along those lines.
I don't see much of a future for Nikolaev.
I hate giving up on players too early. I feel like we may have done that with Emelio Petterssen most recently. Until we have guys knocking at the door from this upcoming draft I see no need to move on from guys. We just graduated several prospects as you mentioned and I don't see a lot of need for roster spots after this upcoming season.

The flames don't officially own their 2025 1st, i dont think we can use it as comoensation in an offer sheet scenario.
How is an offer sheets good idea. We need to build in the draft in this rebuild. Yes I say rebuild. They are obviously ready to do that. To offer sheet we need to give up picks. Why would we give up the picks that will help the process. Also it's a blessing the flames haven't got debrusk. Knowing Calgary they will over pay for him when he is now in the tail end of his prime and potential. He is a perennial 40 point guy. We have many of those already. Yes he has grit but so does Pospisil if we were going to get debrusk that's who he would replace. I'm fine with what we have.
We can’t really offer sheet anyone of value as our first round pick in 2025 has conditions attached to it

My point is being proven klapka 1 goal in 6 and schwindt 0 goals in 4 prospects are not good enough
Nikoleav again 3 goals in 3 years and 35 games and it's just not good enough
