That’s amazing synchronicity, getting a tapestry frame for $10! I’m going to have to build mine.

I can't wait to see the beading and the rest of the costume ensemble.

Looking forward to how it works for you. I have a frame for cross stitch and embroidary. I set mine up to roll, but interested in your expansion. More working area seems great, but my worry is ergo/posture? Expanding the frame means increasing your reach, so keep that in mind if your back starts hurting.

I love thrift store finds! It’s pretty much how I do most projects around here with 5 kids. 🙂

Note; that IS a rolling frame if you need it to be. I totally understand frankensteining it yourself! awesome job there! You are going to want to sew that twill tape on the sides also. Otherwise you will be constantly snagging yourself or the thread on those pins! and it huuurts! other than that go forth and bead!

Also you may want to make yourself some legs, angle brackets or both if it is now top heavy, for under the front end of the frame to rest on. Those flimsy butterfly nuts are great for keeping the frame together but not sturdy enough to keep it up where you need it for comfortable stitching.

I've done lots of embroidery but never any beading. I'm super excited to see how this turns out. ❤

I'd love to have a frame like that for embroidery. It would be so much easier on the body and hands than holding a hoop. No wonder folk centuries ago invented it. What a deal for $10 !

I can’t believe you found that much less for the price! Lucky lol

Hmm I think I could probably build a frame based on this just looking at it. Otherwise I'd never get my hands on one. Thrift stores here just throw away most crafting supplies😢

Now you can do a smaller project or a bigger project having two frames

Right now, @katmakes is running a tambour course on her channel where she goes over some setup stuff too. She might have some good tips/advice :)
