I accidentally found the best deodorizer. I had a ton of Italian parsley growing so I cut some and put it in a vase on the counter and another in the fridge. We just moved into the house and the floors were just refinished so it smelled strong! After the parsley sat there for 24 hrs, no more chemical smells! Of course I didn’t use the parsley for eating after that but I thought you’d like to know there is a natural remedy for odors
Also a cup of vinegar for like a day or two will help
@@lydiamelendrez8393 But vinegar also smells kinda bad, doesn't it? xD I had used apple cider vinegar to get rid of a fruit fly issue, worked well!! But stank up my entire kitchen for days... xD Maybe regular vinegar isn't as bad, never tried.. lol

I live abroad where the water quality isn’t great, so I use a shower filter religiously! I have different scented ones too for a spa like experience- eucalyptus is my fav!

You need a 5gallon tool bucket with a canvas organizers for your tools. You can load and unload it per project.
Have you thought about maybe frosting the glass on the shower. Easy process and it’ll distract the view of the faucet situation.

Yes, me too! I think Romeo's more angular-featured pumpkins add interest and keep it from being too precious. They play off the fancier, more fluid carvings of MaCenna's pumpkins. It all looks terrific!

MaCenna!! The bathroom looks amazing!!! But if you’re going to put your antique painting in there you should make sure the humidity from the shower isn’t able to get to it - it will ruin it!

MaCenna, A lot of people commented on your other channel regarding NOT putting your lovely oil painting in the bathroom. My husband is a picture framer and art appraiser and we have oil paintings in our bathrooms. He said oil paintings are varnished and it should be fine in there. So enjoy it because it is lovely and it brings you joy every time you go in there 😍

The second i saw these branches i thought of the diy my mum did… she hung a beautiful huge wiggly branch above our dining table, sometimes she hangs led lightbulbs up there or decorates it for eastern, halloween, Christmas… its such a cool idea!

The bathroom looks great. I groaned when you said grey for the walls but it turned out nice. I’m so over gray. I saw some great planter pots at the garage sale
its all about picking the right grey and how you use it I think!
I know I thought the same when she said gray, but it looks very nice! I'm so over gray too. I'm into warmer tones. I've used revere pewter, very nice !! ( Ben. MOORE)
I did the same and am finally warming up to it, but I'm not a fan of the curtain fabric with the grey walls. I LOVE the fabric, but think it needs more of a brown based taupe than a grey. I really loved the striped fabric with that wall color! But that's if I'm being super nit-picky and such a tiny thing!!
But it's beautiful and the most important thing is that MaCenna and Romeo love it. And I do love it, too!!
You could have used that outdoor tall fire place up by your outdoor table so when you have an evening event it would take the chill off of your guests

I’m not normally a big outside holiday decoration person, but this is SO GOOD. I love the pumpkin lanterns in the trees! Now I need to get a pumpkin to entertain myself with 😂 Oh and of course looking forward to the bedroom makeover!
Vinegar in a bowl gets rid of any and every bad smell. And it doesn't have any lingering vinegar smell afterwards.

MaCenna, a product that will transform your old bathroom tile is this white grout sealer, it is durable and makes them look new, the grout lines are less noticeable, I have white tile floors and this works on floors that are walked on. Great product. You'll be amazed... love your channels.

It’s interesting what you said about matching paint colors. I have had the same experience lately! Something as simple as liking one paint color but wanting it in a different brand has turned out disastrous. I don’t remember having this issue even two years ago.

For odours, baking soda is great! You could have it in a jar with a candle in it and it’ll soak up everything whilst still being non toxic
I think you should add a hint of blue in the bathroom to compliment the tile; like blue towels or blue vase.

What a beautiful transformation! Maybe if you put some sort of clear coat over the 'retique it' that will lock in the smell? I know shellac locks in smells 🤷🏻♀️

OMG! I wanted to ask you about the huge tree next to the drive when I saw it months ago, so just now, I realize it's a cedar, or rather it looks like one to me! Magnificent! It must be really old! Gorgeous! And adding all those pumpkins to cedar, wow, wow, wow...... spooky!!!!!!! Beautiful! You guys knocked it out of the park! Love it!

I would put long white voile curtains across the whole bedroom wall to cover the doors and windows. Easy to just pull across for privacy, but would still let light through...😊🇬🇧

You can spray paint shower hdwe- Just a thought.☺️ I’ve done it before to save money on a restoration and it turned out surprisingly well. Sealing the hdwe & dry time was def key! I used two coats of Matte clear coat.

Hey girl, plain baking soda will remove smells from rooms. I had a sofa that had cigarette smoke bad. I put soda in a box top underneath the sofa, in about a week all smell was gone.

I haven’t tried that brand of shower filter, I usually reach for the aqua bliss brand and highly recommend it to my clients! (I’m a hairstylist) it makes a huge difference! Now that I live somewhere in the pacific north west with amazing water quality I don’t use it anymore. But when I lived in the city and in Florida it was a go to! Or if your home has super old pipes
Every time I see your vanity hardware in the bathroom, it’s like seeing it for the first time all over again. I love it they are gorgeous and the fact that they are very old is such a wonderful bonus. I know you paid more for these but honestly they’re a showstopper, and worth every penny if you can swing it.
Omg that chimnia, that’s what we call them at home in Texas… tall ones, but that would look and bee soo cool for where y’all eat outside! Warm it up on cooler nights and is pretty! I still think you should think about finding an old round or hexagonal window to put at the bottom of the stairs in the front room to get all that morning sun!

I haven’t done this to a faucet handle, but I painted the frame on our shower enclosure inside and out with Rustoleum Oil Rubbed Bronze from their Metallic line of paint. Not spray paint, but an oil based quart found at Home Depot. I then brushed on a matte poly top coat. That stayed beautifully for the year and a half before we moved, so I can only assume it is still going strong. I don’t recall what other colors they have to offer, but I wouldn’t be afraid to try doing some research on painting a faucet, especially if you intend to renovate more in a year or two. You can DEFINITELY do the technique I mentioned on the silver on the glass enclosure. I didn’t even sand the metal or anything to prep it. I used the same oil rubbed bronze paint on outdated accent tiles that were about 5’ up the shower wall and went over them with the polycrylic and they stayed perfectly as well. The Rustoleum Metallics is a beautiful, rich, self leveling paint that adheres so well and leaves zero brush marks.
If you don’t use this product for your faucet, do keep it in mind for future projects because it is amazing! I have also used it on all of our interior doorknobs in our current home and they have remained unscathed for 6 years now.
