    Thanks Dave,
    Just got my RCT balls, after 2 days of testing it’s much better, I still get the odd no read on really well hit balls with the wedge, usually a slightly higher trajectory on a full swing which can be frustrating if the next shot isn’t hit as well. I would recommend the RCTballs as there is evidence that they get a lot less no reads. I am loving the R10 and awesome golf, regular practice is a huge help improving your game. Good luck with the 10k subs, As more golfers discover the R10 backyard simulators will spring up everywhere and who they gonna look to for help, you and the few other content creators capitalising on the versatility and cost savings of the R10.
    Cheers

    Great news about the waggle! Re chipping I always just used something more lofted like say a 52° wedge whereas on the course a 9 iron bump n run might be the preferred option. Not a big deal on a home simulator.

    • @davidmaxfieldgolf
      @davidmaxfieldgolf  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Another great video, David. I've not experienced these problems with the short chips but the video was great in the teaching aspect as far as getting the club out of the way. I used the little metal dot on my ball for a bit but didn't see that much of a difference once I updated the Garmin software. Thanks again!

      @@davidmaxfieldgolf A quick question for you David. I'm contemplating moving my sim room into a space where a kitchen cabinet takes away two feet of floor space needed for the R10 distance to be correct. Do you think it would bother the R10 if I cut out the under side of the cabinet and positioned the R10 on the floor under the cabinet? It would still face directly out to where I'm hitting but would be in a small cave so to speak.

    Thx David, it really fixed our issues for the chipping. Almost all shots were picked up by the Garmin when using our suggestions.
    We did found some other issue, and sorry for asking here. One of the guys playing has a very flat backswing, taking it quickly to the inside, and the balls starts very low. For some reason the garmin did not see a lot of his swings. Do you have any suggestions (other than fixing his swing 🙂)? Again thanks for making all these videoes, they are very helpfull.

    • @davidmaxfieldgolf
      @davidmaxfieldgolf  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not sure about the flat backswing, just make sure the Garmin is level with the mat and get him to hit down on the ball more creating more launch

    • @caucau68
      @caucau68 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Update: We found out that to much waggling caused the garmin not to pick up the actual swing. Basically the Garmin needs to ready. To much waggling will make the Garmin confused. Thx again.

    Great job and video, I just got the R10 and I'm enjoying the Home Town Hero's courses. I've seen a few of your videos now and I'm curious as to why you chose Awesome Golf over Home Town Hero's. Is one better or more accurate than the other? Or is the Awesome Golf more of a target based learning aid? Thanks!

    Great video David,
    We found that if you have a very slow backswing on short chips the R10 light doesn't change from green to red. This was really throwing off my brother. He has a very slow fairly long backswing and follow through for short chips (6-15 yds). Any thought other than speeding up his back swing? Not using RCT balls yet. However, we did try to put aluminum tape stripes on a ball.
    Thank you,
    Steve

      @@davidmaxfieldgolf Thanks David. I will give that a try and be in touch to let you know how it goes. It just seemed it wasn't a ball issue but rather the R10 not reading the backswing to turn the green light to red before striking the ball.

    Thanks for your awesome videos!! I just got my R10 yesterday and have only been playing around with it in my backyard, but one thing I've noticed is that I rarely get club path and face angle on chip shots. Do you know if that's a common problem, and if you do, why?

    • @davidmaxfieldgolf

    Is the waggle change really recent? We have just started playing rounds with friends using GSPro. We have had very few if any short chips that were missed, but one of our friends does several waggles on every shot and whether a short chip or a full shot, it misses several of his unless he remembers not to waggle.

    • @davidmaxfieldgolf
      @davidmaxfieldgolf  ปีที่แล้ว

      If it’s a drastic waggle and he then hits the ball without a pause I think that will cause issues on any radar unit but it could also be technique. Hard to tell exactly without seeing it

    My R10 goes to sleep sometimes near the end of a round.. I have to hit "Wake up" on the phone app. Is that common? We are not having much misreads because i'm 10ft from the screen and 7ft from R10. But we struggle with the Sleep thing... (Phone is on charger and Wifi AP is installed in the garage).. any ideas?
    Also, RCT are quite expensive. Would you recommend at least chipping/putting with those and wacking normal golf balls for the long runs? I have my golfsim for over a week now and I'm down a box of regular Titlest.. they are worn out lol. Thanks David!
