Yeah, they are pretty solid openers. I would recommend a wled tho because it's brighter (3200 lumens of LED lights) but otherwise you get the same stuff.

The same genie that the 8365 replaced. The genie used to be in the big door and we moved it to the small door when we got new doors. We put an 8550 on the big door and moved the genie to the small door. The capacitor blew in the genie and then we decided to replace it with a liftmaster 8365.
No, it has gotten louder and it is because of the door. I've checked the balance, and it's fine, and the doors are like four years old so i don't know why its louder than other 8550s
ElliotGamer1 yes you’re right it’s a lifetime motor and belt warranty, but it wouldn’t even be worth doing because it still opens and closes the door perfectly

I'd say the best opener is the LiftMaster 8500W, followed by a close second of the WLED. Lm chain drives are pretty good, though

You should replace the motor part inside the opener, it’s probably under warranty

That opener doesn’t sound too healthy. I have a 8550WL and it sounds nothing like this one.
Sam Squires I said the same. Really weird sounding 8550. He told me it was because of the doors and overtime it made it sound like that
