From what I've been seeing about Aphotic Aspect is that it is triggering the cooldown a LOT more than expected, so Army of the Dead and Golem are available more than the versions that use Explosive Mist. Both Explosive Mist and Aphotic seem to help stack Blighted similarly from what I've seen other players do, but activating Golems and AorD more may be worth it.
What about instead of Decripify Size Tempering you try Lucky Hit Chance to Slow/Stun/Freeze to get more stagger triggers against pit bosses? The Decripify size doesnt really matter that much, but more stagger makes boss killing much safer.
Minions don’t gain the lucky hit chance from our stats unfortunately so it would be a waste in this kind of build. The only time they do gain any semblance of lucky hit chance is with the aphotic aspect which is a pseudo bugged version of lucky hit chance
@@JoshtheTosh Are you sure? Because it seems to work with abhorrent decrepify where the minions reduce the cooldowns with the lucky hit chance. And even without minions hits: Army of the dead has a 68% lucky hit chance and CE also 27%. With the constant cooldown reductions from the reapers Army of the dead can be fired pretty often during a boss fight and if you stack the temperings it pretty reliable staggers the boss.
@@thorewendler8471 yeah minions themself don’t receive lucky hit that’s why aphotic is bugged because it’s a special form of lucky hit chance that applies only to minions and it’s not coded well enough for the game to understand it’s a separate stat spec and that’s why it causes the decrepify bug to pop

I'm working on this build, but can someone explain why corpse explosion isn't slotted on the tool bar? i'm sure I'm missed something lol.

can this build handle tormented bosses as well? i have not defeated andariel yet
drop the harlequin and pick up aphotic and keep blood mist, your blight stacks will skyrocket and speed up boss clears. Boss stagger stops the echo from doing anything.
This I'm running aphotic and also blood soaked for extra procs with mist also my mist virtually no cool down and most times I get the mist back while on it still that means constant imortal but now I'm thinking of running shaco and ditching soaked for a possible push past 150 I might post the build I dont run golem btw its pure skele.
Edit I run tyraels
exploding mist makes blighted key passive proc way slower than aphotic aspect despite it being good defensively and it also messes up the lineup of the burst damage when you pop a corpse by accident at the boss, and it mentally makes you mist straight into danger instead of out of it
I used your advice for my first necromancer build (first diablo build actually) and I killed the curator in about 10 seconds.I have some really good buffs for my golem I think hes at around 300% attack buff
Aphotic has an interaction with decrepify making it proc cdr more consistently
I haven’t maxed out the renown since I stopped playing midway thru season 1 stuff going to get a little grindy for the extra 12-16 paragon points
would grandfather be a viable replacement for even more damage or is there no more room to remove an aspect
You can replace Corporeal whit Gravekeeper for bigger bonus to golems, it provides bonus 62,5% golems dmg and 35% golems armor.
I’d like to see a bone spirit build in the future, having way more fun with it over minions due to the constant engagement during combat over just occasionally cursing and popping shadow priests and golem on minion build. Gotta actually set up stuff for big bone spirit pops and I’d like to see what y’all can cook up. Side note, not even max level yet on my current build, I’m sitting around mid to high 70’s and I’m hitting half a mil already on some of my crits with bone spirit so I know it has potential to be really nasty as a pit push boss killer
I found some pretty good +3 bone spirit pants last night and I'd love to give a bone spirit necro a shot.
@@jnf1283 I’ve got a decent set up at the moment for how I’ve got everything going build wise, only thing I’m lacking is good cooldown reduction so I’m supplementing it with the reaper minion cd bug with aphotic and decrepify. Skills bar is summon skeleton, bone storm, bone spirit, corpse tendrils, the bone basic attack and decrepify. If you can manage to get your cdr for bone spirit and bone storm low then you can sacrifice minions for extra crit and what not, also skeletal mages are set to ice and the vulnerable passive just for extra vulnerable uptime outside of corpse tendrils plus the extra freeze cc is nice when they proc it. Not running blood mist as I’m not in pits yet and I’m getting a good amount of survivability with bone storm and the barrier gen aspect and the armor increase up to x% aspect. Bone storm itself gens the barrier and the armor increase pretty fast so I get Tanky fast, also I’m focusing a lot of crit damage and chance so swords are a must for main hand, either 1 or 2 handed works, been mostly running 1 handed and a cdr focus but I just swapped to a 2 hander for bigger bursts. Also golem was being used on bone with the reflect damage passive but I recently swapped to sacrifice for the crit damage increase as the golem doesn’t really do much for this build other than taunt, which is useful early game from level 30-60ish but past that you’re doing enough damage to not really need it anymore
I still need to get a hellbent commander amulet. Its rough out here. Also aphotic seems to be better imo. It stacks the shadowblight super fast and it seems to have a weird interaction with lucky hit chance, so aphotic buffed warriors will reduce you cooldown a lot more when hitting decrepify debuffed targets

Does blighted corpse explosion work with superior blight to increase damage minions do to enemies standing in the aoe?
How would the clear acutally look without holy bolt? Because it seems Golem Damage is all because of the elixier bug.
And yes, as Sorc I feel like the others, am happy that with masterworking I get between 1-3 million, which is bare 0,1 to 0,3% of what a Necro does.

So holy bolts causes critical hits? I use DOT so can’t crit, or does shadowblight damage crit once procced? I removed a 140% crit damage affix from my two handed for more max life. Maybe I should have kept it.
If you like minion builds this much, you should try a pure Companion Druid. See what you can do with that. 😊
yeah even though it wont be as strong I would still level a druid for it if it was fun.
I actually am a returning player from .malignant season, I did a companion druid blind playthrough (no guides completely solo no advice etc) and managed to beat tormented uber Duriel. It felt more rewarding to play the game blind tbh

Swapped around my paragon board yesterday and got an extra +800% golem damage through all the modifiers. Got a +3 golem chest, but no hellbent or other really powerful +rank items yet. My golem has been hitting for 5m-10m crits. Clearing t90's for the pit without much effort. Going to swap to the explosive mist today and try to push that up. Gotta swap the boots from the bat evade to explosive as the only difference. Might need to rework my board further so i can pick up the 7th board. Got 6 so far

Would you say this is better then Maxroll Shadow minion build?
Swapped my build from bloodwave to this after struggling with level 200 zir. I went with aphotic instead of harlequin crest and with un-upgraded gear i tore through lvl 200 zir. Saw a hit of 72 million so I’m very interested to see what happens when i have everything maxed/optimised. Nice build, thanks for making the video
Bro i was thinking the same i was playing with a barb that was a top 250 player and he said dont use harle quin helm because u missing a aspect and go for aphotic
@@thijmensessink1674 concussive strikes works too but missing out on some shadow damage. Having mages hit twice tempering on the weapon works great

I have almost 2400 intelligence so my wither node says about a 40% to do 200%x more damage with damage over time so I decided to work that in. Do you guys think that makes corpse explosion dots worthwhile oe should I just go back to using it to trigger shadowblight?

I noticed the shadowblight pas is bugged when you go into a new zone it reset might want to look into that
I’m not sure if this is still possible, this might be, but Diablo 4 has nerfed the minion interaction with holy bolts that made it deal a lot more damage. But I’m sure they’ll still pop bosses with high damage.
I've been playing this build and having a blast. It's different than all the cookie cutter necro builds, just wondering if there are any updates to this build since the June patch?
When doing these builds does it matter which piece of gear you have an aspect on? I have so many pieces of gear with greater affixes with aspects that i can use but not on the correct pieces.
It does not matter just like pants and boots are more limited to picking aspect pool

I followed this build as best i can, i have perfect rolls on the aspects and pretty good gear and my best hit is 190 mil. My best pit is 63. Fun build but struggling to get the damage and survivabilty is rough

Is all that golem active cooldown effective? I have it on one part of my gear plus I use an offhand for more general cdr and I am at 7 seconds for my golem too
the lowest u can have it is 4 sec so try for 2 golem active cooldown reduction and one ultimate. I tested with 3 active golem and a cdr on amulket and it still stayed at 4 took off amulet with cdr stood at 4, so im guessing thats the lowest u can drop the cooldown to.

Been playing Necro since start of season and have yet to get any Golem or Mage mastery gear or Hellbent Commander. At pit 60 and still nothing. Its incredibly rare and to see people on youtube with all of it makes me mad lol.
Helltide to find it. Pit isnt where to get gear. You might’ve been very unlucky but if you just farm the helltide boss you will find one kinda quick (unless you mean greater affix which are extremely rare).
Got a 3 GA +INT + LPS +3 GOLEM MASTERY in Helltide and sold it for 1.3b earlier today. Now, i am thinking i could've gotten a lot more.
Same never got it in a drop. Enchant is where i got hellbent and golem mastery.

Really? I’ve gotten quite a few GA pieces of these and I only started the season last week. I can’t even use them yet but I’m saving them for a new build idea I’ve been working on.
You for sure need to be farming Helltides hard. Just camping at the ritual for the entire time with Profane Mindcage will give you like 4+ full inventories of legendaries.

one thing that I dont get is, why a 2H Schythe instead of a 1H weapon and a focus on the off hand, so you can have another unique, like the one that automatcally trigger corpse explosion and tentacles. Its a honest question and id love a explication for it, tks ppl

How do you proc holy bolts on a boss though?
I'm running an extremely similar set up. I have skeletal mage passive on both gloves and pants, but also just rolled a +4 amplify with +5 hellbent on my amulet.
Paragon is the same, but I keep changing it. I tried doing that extra golem node too, but didn't see much of a difference. Then I think on scent of death board iirc, I worked my way to skeletal mage node then redid it.
I could only do all this by dropping wither board which now I think it a huge mistake.
On aphothic aspect: you probably know this but I think it's bugged with abhorrent decrepify and really helps with all cooldowns. Do you really think blood mist aspect is better?

There’s a significant drop in your golem % damage, this is overall more damage than your old paragon board?
They run aphotic because there is a bug which gives the reapers 100% lucky hit to trigger decrepify's CDR. And it's extremely potent. Give it a test on the dummies and I bet you'll be on board : )
Can confirm this I run aphotic and the CDR us cinstant so much so I spam my golem constantly
Third this, aphotic is a must, not sure what else could be dropped for mist aspect

What do you think of running the Ring of Sacrilegious Soul with this build? Instead of running the blood mist corpse explosion.
I use this ring for basically any other content other than high level pit pushing. Farming helltides with it is top tier.
How did you configure the Left Click to move and use the ability at the same time without throwing it by mistake?
There is a box you can check to not combine left click with movement and interaction in settings

That one yellow crit said 30 billion. So that was closer to 100 billion than 70
my resists arent close to 70 with this build and I have all royal diamonds in my jewelry..any reason why that is?
So the ring of mendeln is no good? Also does the life on kill from the scythe extend to the pets is that why you are taking it over the 2h sword with the bonus crit damage?
Scythes have a slower attack speed thus having a bigger damage per hit, which benefits golems the most

Boss rng. Any boss that spawns adds can be one shot with holy bolts. Build doesn't matter, just drink the potion and profit.
What ranks of Golem mastery and Hellbent Commander on the gear is required. Lots of builds I have seen they rank 7, most of us cannot get rank 4 to drop.
I think max for golem is +3, +4 is it’s greater. And for hellbent it’s +2, +3 for a greater. With masterworking if you hit the 25% increase at 4, 8, 12 it’ll go up a level. So for a perfect item you could get +7 to golem and + 6 to hellbent
@@Mccdog2 I only lucky enough to see them both golem mastery and hellbent drop at +2. I did masterwork them to lv.4 but did not go up a level so I'm assuming only the greater affixes (star) do.

Flesh eater board on mine only has 22 dec and can’t see to get anymore on the board it’s also laid out exactly the same way but you board looks different then mine???
Why don't you put points into "Supernatural Blight"? It gives a multiplier boost to all things blighted, even "Blighted Corpse Explosion".
It would be interesting to see: How much additive Golem damage lost vs. How much vulnerable gain. I am currently at 4000% golem with this build and 10% means 400%. With Golem mastery and Golem node, it looks like Golem's damage multiplier is around 3-4? That means this build will only make sense the board sacrifice less than 100% golem additive damage,

Im not sure what im doing wrong, but i have a similar build and hit nowhere near these numbers. And i noticed too that you dont even use your golem active.. i use holy bolts, but those dont ever trigger for me unless there are adds. How do you get thr holy bolts burst without adds against a solo target boss?

If you want even more damage, keep aphotic and change bloodmist for blight. It's known to be the best dmg build for necromancer.

All boards are different for everyone my boards dont have enough stats for the glyphs extra bonuses unfortunately

Dont understand using the 2h scythe. I run a 1h scythe with a totem so i can have bloodmist and aphotic and my cooldowns are insane.
Why not grandfather in the build isnt it better then just putiing blight aspect on gloves

Translates to all minions including golem. They inherit a % of your stats. I’ve heard they inherit 100% but not sure

How are you getting 27 Dexterity on essence glif it’s shows you should on have 22 that’s all I can get? Same with a few of you other boards I had to use extra points to unlock additional bonus??????

Shrines disappear when the guardians layer teleport appears that does not work. I don’t believe you have tried that.
