- This is our first ever river cruise voyage onboard the Avalon Waterways View on the Danube River in Europe from Budapest, Hungary to Vienna, Austria. Featuring ports of Bratislava, Slovakia; Melk, Austria; and Durnstein, Austria; from November 2 - 5, 2022. Beautiful castles, St. Martin's, Melk Abbey and Wachau Valley.

Actually I was wondering about listening to the value judgement of someone who didn't even know it was bad manners to dine whilst wearing his cap. It seems it is not stapled to his head and is removable at will!. Very interested in eating aren't they?

Very nicely done! We've done a dozen river cruises and they are absolutely our favorite way to travel. We highly recommend Avalon and AmaWaterways. We much prefer them to Viking.

Enjoyed your video. My daughter and I are doing Germany to Transylvania Jun 2024. This will be part of our tour. I love seeing some of the areas we will get to visit. Sad to see graffiti on these historic walls.

Not a fan of the introductory line, "Sup ya'll?" I don't think your viewers are in that demographic, haha. I appreciated the tour of the ship. The "tart" you thought was dry was a panier. I love those.
Too short unless you stay extra days in Budapest and Vienna. Weird routing to bypass Vienna and go to Melk and turn around to end up in Vienna.

I know you said the food was 5-star, but can you compare the food on Avalon with any other European river cruises you've been on? We did the Rhine on Viking last year, and while we enjoyed it very much (and would sail with Viking again), we'd also like to explore the competition to see if the food might be better if we step up a notch--thanks.
Thank you for watching our channel. Sorry, but we don't have a comparison. It was our 1st river cruise in Europe. The guest on board did say it was better than the other river cruise lines. I would like to compare the other lines with Avalon. Avalon was top-notch, we thought.
Thank you for the video. Well done. A question though, why do you have to wear the hat at the table? Where I was brought up it was considered to be very rude. Perhaps it’s just Americans that do that.
Is it not also rude to make comments about a persons appearance or behaviour?
