      Truth be told Robert (Nick) and his wife Charlene were actually physically separated when he in gaged with Diane in fact the only reason Diane became so obsessed with him was because he was the only one that was extremely direct with his words and she couldn’t trap him or accept him telling her no.. he was completely honest with his wife and they reconciled, him and his wife cooperated with authorities and were together at the entire six week hearing and never once spoke with media nor tried to profit from the tragedy.

    Her *still* trying to manipulate her way out of jail in those parole hearings is absolutely insane. I hope all of her children have had wonderful lives since. I remember an interview with the daughter she was pregnant with during the trial, and she struggled because she was afraid she would be like her mom. She convinced at least two of them to get divorced and once they had, she lost interest. It was all “you deserve so much better! She doesn’t treat you right!” Then they’d leave, want to be with her and she’d slowly start pulling away. She even had the nerve to say she didn’t like them any more because “what kind of pu**y does a guy have to be to let some other woman tell him what he should do?” It disgusted me. Diane is the same.

      It seems possible, if not probable, that she would have intentionally left one or two alive to draw out the sympathy and attention she would get.
      If your kids die, you get sympathy and attention for a certain amount of time after their death and then eventually people forget and move on.

    My son is about to be 3 in October ❤
    I can't understand how mothers can do this. Its so unnatural. Even being mentally ill, and I am as well, how can you hurt your child? I wouldn't even sleep at the hopsital because of my newborn. I hadn't even been around kids, he was so tiny and fragile looking and I was so terrified he would die. I just watched him the entire time. She just truly had no care. So much apathy towards her babies.

      @AKayfabe หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I never wanted and don’t like children at all. I decided I’m not someone who should be a parent at age 12 and that was that.
      I got pregnant from an assault in 2000. I never wanted a baby, and everyone told me I’d change my mind and that I’d connect with the baby and it would be different with my own child. It wasn’t. I felt nothing and didn’t want him, and felt none of the protective or caring things I was told I would suddenly feel. I knew I could not and should not be a parent since I was very young. I’m not selfless, empathetic or patient enough. So I gave my baby up for adoption to a couple who did want him and couldn’t have children.
      I don’t regret it, I don’t miss him, and I am glad he got a better life.
      I wish Diane and others would have had the same insight when it came to her NOT being someone who should be a mother. It doesn’t end in disaster if you realize who you are and what you shouldn’t be trying to do.

For those who don't know the first week doesn't technically count as training, is what's known as processing days for p days. You literally are thrown together with roughly 80 other people measured for uniforms, fill out paperwork, get medical exams and shots and learn how to stencil every piece of clothing that you have. While it might make you want to jump out of window it's definitely not grueling. 😂😂

    Diane Downs was my Mail lady. I was born in 1979 in Cottage Grove OR. I believe Diane lived in Springfield OR, but worked for the post office in Cottage Grove. When I was around 3 my family lived on Garoutte Rd which was part of Diane's mail route. I knew when the mails was coming and if it was ok with my mother I'd wait at the bottom of the hill next to the mailbox for Diane. She was always so sweet and nice. Because I was so young, my mother just told me that Diane got into trouble, and that was it. When I was around 10 she went into detail...I was so confused.

      It's not hard to understand WHY though. I highly suspect she has severe BPD among her other diagnoses. Especially from the last part, where she said her Mum would do the same thing, that's a pointer to BPD right there, because maybe, at some very early point in childhood she might have been rejected by her mother and something like early emtional childhood trauma is among the leading causes for BPD. So she has those memories of times, where she was a scared, poweless child and to THAT she can relate and feel emotional and cry about, sadness for herself basically. Because that was before her illnessess had completely evolved and she couldn't and never actually tried to love anyone. Don't get me wrong: NOBODY, but herself is responsible for her actions, but those kinda early traumatic things are what create people like her and keep this cycle of abuse and murder and toxicity alive.
      I for one am glad that I survived my childhood trauma, got treatment and had great support, because the mere thought of becoming anything like her simply scares me.
