nice to see the new project. reached out to you back during the pandemic and finally decided to get my dad's 68 back to life after it's been sitting for 30+ years in the driveway. few weeks back got it back up & running and was amazed at how good it ran right out of the gate so now on to the next steps to get the body in shape - naturally been in the elements and is a rust bucket right now, but hope to get some tips from you as you move forward on this build!

Glad to see you got another Goat in to save! I need to get back out and finish the truck pan on mine.

Thanks, yeah this one's going to be tough didn't realize how badly rusted it is. Still thinking on saving it. It would be a labor of love. All the best. let me know if you need advice on your trunk pan. I have a video on that.

Thanks. I'm going to actually break it all down and continue working on the original goat until I'm done. Then start on this project.

That's awesome. I started working on a 72 Corvette for a friend. Guess we both like multiple projects. LOL
Good luck with it. Keep us posted

This will be no problem for you , exactly the same cowling as the wife's 67 impala. Frieght to Australia for parts is way too, expensive made most of it already. It only rusted bad in the windscreen channel. Rest of it was good. Can see why they rust there , 3 panels overlap and hold water when the old sealants dry up and crack. Great find you have there . Well done mate.

Thanks, when I got it home and started dissecting it, it seems to be rusted pretty bad along the A pillars. I pulled the windshield right out no problem. The rear window blew out on me trailering the car home. The motor seems to be a 400. I am not sure if it is the original because it has a electronic distributor. The good news is it has a 10 bolt posi rear. All the best

Yes, thanks. I'm going to see how bad it is and start taking it apart. I know that the tranny and rear differential is really nice it has a 10-bolt posi haven't figured out the gear ratio.

How is it going with the other GTo? ready for paint?

Not yet, I'm working on the door fitment. Then I'm doing the trunk. Doing a custom bumper, so I am trying to get it to match the quarter panels with a quarter inch Gap between them. I should be in paint by the end of the year. Been busy with a lot of Family Matters. Thanks for checking in. All the best
