When I saw you threading 2" pipe with stilsons In the video before last I laughed my ass off. I done exactly the same thing a couple of years ago. Absolutely screwed the die head when I did it. Also seeing you uploading great content made me give this another go. So, thank you Tom.
Excellent stuff as always, How many engineers would bother to strip down a micro-switch and get it working again ! It's a "needs must" situation and you always persevere to repair where possible! Love it 👍
Thanks for sharing ollie, really enjoyed listening you on the podcast and great to see you showcasing your knowledge again it is very much appreciated. Its a shame too many engineers these days would just talk the customer into a new boiler in a case like this, when it can easily be something simple like a microswitch and a step by step diagnosis. All the best for 2024 mate
In my opinion you are a proper engineer who knows and understands what he is doing. It also comes across to me that you get great satisfaction in your joband you see these faults as a challenge for you to overcome and rectify. I wish you a veey good happy healthy future. Cheers Maz.
There's a lot of plumbers come out and they say YOU NEED A NEW PCB BOARD and some times that's the case but like this guy he checked everything and sorted the problem great job you will always be busy
Mate I’m so glad you back, hope you’re well. Definitely the best at what you do, I’ve learnt so much from your previous videos, you can’t leave us again.😂🙏🏻💪👨🔧
Cant believe you opened up those switches and cleaned them up. Most guys including myself (retired many years ago) would have just gone out and bought new ones. Great stuff mate.
The most comprehensive video on a boiler repair I’ve seen. You have a natural ability to teach and educate. Am 60 and work under the supervision of a gas safety engineer , and love learning new things. Keep up the excellent work .PS I have subscribed 😁👍🎯👊
Great video, as you said from the start the Baxi lights go through the operation sequence, that should give any engineer worth his salt a massive clue to what’s happening, or at least a starting point, must admit though I wouldn’t have had the patience to clean that micro switch, Id be visiting the merchants, but fair play the customer had been messed about enough and you got it up and running there and then. Keep the videos coming👍🏻
Great to see your all well and healthy Ollie... Really missed your uploads... Your a great advert for engineers to see that new parts are always a last resort... Stay healthy mate
@HeatingGeek knowledge is knowledge, out on the job if there's a little golden nugget to refer to, it saves throwing the toys out of the pram cause of stress & customer giving grief! Thanks for the time and effort mate its well appreciated! Diamond geezer 💯
Its really difficult to go from installing to repairing, your knowledge is top notch, your also a really clever guy. This was a really well explained repair, thanks for sharing.
Kane 455 , love my 456. Have no idea what im gonna do when it breaks. Reminds me i gotta take it out the van. Love doing this part of the job. If it wasnt for fault finding i would have given up years ago. U gotta alot of 105e diaphragms.
Wow, that was quality repair, thank you so much, please keep uploading it, I learned s and Y plan wiring from your videos also on that you said you are going to make video for pump over run, I am still looking for it couldn't find one, it would be great if you could explain wiring for pump over run. Glad you are back, please keep uploading.
Great stuff Ollie, this Baxi is one that an engineer can / should get involved with, like many older boilers watch, look and listen to where it's at. Grest vid for our apprentice. Keep up the great work.
Excellent video and shows the difference between having a fundamental understanding and a systems approach that can be applied across all installations and attending a manufacturers course that shows you how to change parts.

Great video. From a fellow breakdown engineer. We are all still learning everyday and i still learn plenty from your videos. Used to work on plenty of these combi instants. They were far less reliable than the good old combi 80/105e

Why not, the whole world has gone mad on efficiency but they forget the impact of making new parts.
