@@dedskinprodcerdj4273 How did yours work out? Happy with it? I love mine as you can tell by my comment above. I sort of feel vulnerable not having any spare tyre though. I can use the can for temporary puncture repair but they don't get repaired after that treatment. So every roadside puncture means a new tyre. It's worth asking the rescue company to take the tyre for local repair before you think about using the 'kit' if the situation you are in allows that course of action. I have done it with my Picasso but we were in our hotel carpark. :)

Nice review, thank you! I've recently purchased a 2016 Superb estate turbo diesel. I am delighted with it. It's probably the best car I've ever owned. The spacious boot area was a big attraction, as was its economy (I have the Greenline variant). I have plans to car camp in it next spring so I will need to bend my mind to how to flatten out the folded down back seats a bit more. I use it fortnightly for hiking with a buddy (check my channel out if you like hiking) and last time it took (easily) 3 rucksacks, 3 bags with change of clothing, three boot bags and 3 pairs of hiking poles all without folding down back seats. The heated seats are greatly appreciated by both of us now that the Scottish witer is setting in. The navigation system is fine and clear. I love the Green display (a leaf and histogram that indicate how economically you are controlling the car). I haven't tried the Sport option yet so thanks for the reminder, mine being set on Comfort which I think means bouncier suspension(?). My version has three keys (two working so far...) and theoretically save the seat positioning related to each key (I think!), but as it's only me that ever drives it doesn't matter. The electric handbrake and engine cutting out at lights to save power are features I am beginning to get used to and love (so long as I don't need repairs on them or I guess I'm looking to Skoda/VW service charges). But let's be optimistic - - this wonder machine will never have issues (within the warranty...).
I'm not sure if/what options were available in the pre-facelift model. On the face-lifted model you can order drive modes and adaptive separately, so you could theoretically drive in sport mode, but without any changes to the suspension settings (because there aren't any). Heated seats are great, but my favourite winter options are the heated windshield and heated steering wheel. I remember test driving my first car with auto stop&start feature back in 2007, and I couldn't get used to it. Over time it became normal (and the system improved). When you think about all the pollution you are NOT generating when idling, it starts to make sense. Enjoy your hiking! (and your Superb)

Marek, usually i really like your Reviews and was excited about this Review, but i think even with the technical difficulties it doesn't meet your standard. Maybe you could think about making a new Review with the Sedan - Limo?
problem of Škoda cars todays are that they start to be expensive and basically dont offer nothing more or even less in terms of tech & quality of material interior ...
Tbh i like where skoda is going with new models, but im uncertain about feeling of 'cheapness' inside (like bad quality materials and screeching interior while driving country roads). I like the little details though, variable boot setups is what i lack in my passat variant. :)
+Mr Pisq I agree I drive a Superb and feel they put hard plastic in and add a little wind noise on purpose, though I will suffer this because a prefer a Skoda badge to a ritzy premium brand.Warning the model I drive is an old 170bhp 4x4 dsg and after mountain passes the gearbox can have difficulty engaging drive from stationery, I have read this is due to oil temperature, have any others suffered this?
you go on about premium cars . this is a premium car . so called premium cars cost more so you expect more when resale . so thats a false economy . and so called premium cars end up on a tow truck . skoda,s dont its as if someone had a gun to your head and you were not allowed to say yes this is a great car for the money . weird review
Marek Drives 2 years later but you are still wrong. I've driven both Mercedes and Skoda. The Benz is a bit better, but in no way, shape or form is it twice as good as a Skoda. Cost twice as much. Your statement that Skoda is too expensive with options is wrong too. Tick all those boxes on an E class, and see what price comes up then.
Hmm, I tried an entry level 5 series with no options on it and a top of the range Superb with all the bells and whistles. Skoda was less expensive and drove just as well. Same road noise, same wind noise. Skoda felt a bit more comfortable than the 5 series, with the 5 series only slightly better in terms of interior quality (lower down plastics). Bottom line is that if you cant afford a top of the range BMW you are getting conned. A Skoda L&K is by far the better option than a low range 5 series and actually feels more premium.
the only detail that stab my eyes is the "scarf" in area between motor cover and side front chassis (above wheels). Really ugly solution. Same story with Kodiaq.
