    😂😂 Sarah, You showed us your feet but I’m shocked u tried everything, wow. Thanks for the rundown on what’s best for your skin! I personally love the glycolipid cream cleanser! Definitely a favorite I’m almost out and I re-purchased two more at ulta! For 10x day. Also love the pycnogenal, alpha arbutin, multi-peptide + ha , lactic acid 5% and 10% mandelic acid! - I use the anhydrous bha on my back!
    Ps. how exciting that G&G has officially landed in America!!! 🤩🤩

      My poor feet, lol! And no matter how much sunscreen I use on my legs I have a permanent tan line at my feet which will probably never go away 😂😬 I'm glad you had better luck with the cream cleanser. I'm very picky about cleaners so maybe I'll try it out a bit more. A few of my favorite cleaners are ones I hated at first.

    Lactic acid 10% and the multi peptide with copper peptide are my two ride or die products from The Ordinary. I actually prefer TO copper peptide to the Niod one because it's thicker and nicer to use IMO.

    Wow, trying all TO products is true commitment to trade! The Ordinary is such a hit or miss brand you just know you're going to get lots of mediocre products if you go through them all. Not an easy job, well done!
    I use the Glycolic Acid from TO regularly and Alpha Arbutin occationally. I've repurchased them both a ton. Solid products.

    • @NOBSBeauty

      I'm with you, they are super hit or miss. It's interesting that some things I just really disliked a lot of people actually enjoyed them. I guess you never know until you try it.

    Great minds think alike! These are all my favs too! I add the chia oil and the 7%glycolic too. The glycolic is for my body only tho, I don't put it on my face. I like their retinols for my neck and chest.

    I think the resevertrol with freulic is also a winner. With the matrixyl and argireline serums you get more of it than if you just used the peptide buffet. Gonna have to get my grubby paws on that charcoal mask!

  • @whatnext715
    @whatnext715 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I love their oils, esp the Rosehip seed. Over the years I’ve repurchased the basic moisturizer, buffet serum, matrixyl serum. My most repurchased is their azelaic acid! Best value I’ve found. I use it every morning, a dab, mixed w a small amount of another lotion and a few drops of one or two of their antioxidant serums. I always have their Pycnogenol serum and also use their Resveratrol/ferulic serum and the Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution.
    In my mind, I didnt think I used much from the ordinary anymore but in reality I have 4 dropper bottles and a big tube of the azelaic acid in my bathroom right now. I don’t think there is any other brand that I have 5 different products going at the same time.

    • @bags_books_and_bowwows
      @bags_books_and_bowwows ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Ordinary oils are their standout. Right now I just have the Rose Hip, I would definitely go back to sea buckthorn if I were disciplined enough to do my skincare an hour before I get into bed to avoid staining. My skin loved that stuff!

    • @NOBSBeauty
      @NOBSBeauty  ปีที่แล้ว

      @whatnext715 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bags_books_and_bowwows I was using the sea buckthorn and thought I naturally had enough time in my routine between skincare and bed. Half my pillow cases now have slight orange stains, lol. I probably would have kept with it anyway but I started using the Stratia liquid gold when I upped my retinol. That seems to quench my sea buckthorn cravings and I haven’t had any stains on my pillow case so far.

    You raised some good points regarding Brandon's passing and the state the former Deciem brands. The Ordinary is definitely impacted, but my hopes for NIOD’s future without him are extremely limited at this point. NIOD was his passion project and I can't see them releasing anything new without him.

  • @lorainemcgillivray77
    @lorainemcgillivray77 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Sarah it's not a brand I buy much from nowadays tbh. I do repurchase the multi density hair serum for my dry scalp and their oils as hair oil due to price. In the past I bought the squalane cleanser a few times, but now have others I prefer. The new moisturiser for dry skin was weird - it felt a bit greasy (even on my super dry skin), but left me dry underneath that greasy top layer. However it works really well as a sleeping mask over another moisturiser to seal everything in and I'll finish it in the colder months used that way - a decent price for the size of the tube. I've tried many of their older products in the past, but few were repurchases tbh. A lot of their newer stuff just didn't appeal to me - I did try the lash serum which was meh. I use a lot of Korean beauty and the textures are so much more elegant, often without being hugely more expensive. In todays highly saturated skincare market it's just not a brand I gravitate to anymore having found other things I like better than many of the things I used to use. Their pure oils are still a great buy and there are still gems within the range, but I mostly just found things I like better. Best wishes.

    I have the same thoughts about wanting aesthetically pleasing products. It was a great starting point but I've moved on to other things, except the salicylic acid mask. When I get a rosacea breakout it's the most effective thing to knock back all the whiteheads. But it can sting if my skin is sensitized. I'd like to find a good replacement.

    I have tried a lot of products over the years but I am trying to avoid single ingredient serums, so I am slowly moving away from the brand. I do purchase the retinol, oils and some of the acids to use on the body because they are such good value and cheaper than lotions formulated with retionol or acids. My other issue is that I simply don't like the texture of many of there products and can only use them at night.

    • @NOBSBeauty
      @NOBSBeauty  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm so with you about the texture of many of their products. Not very "nice" feeling. I'm also with you about the single ingredient products (unless it's vitamin c). I think that's why I ended up liking their buffet and copper peptides serum so much- lots of good ingredients!

    • @NOBSBeauty
      @NOBSBeauty  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a little more complicated. And I have a feeling if you asked ten different people you'd get ten different answers. I try to use it on nights or mornings I don't use any strong acids or after my esthetician does microneedling. I have found that if I apply it in my evening routine with my retinoid it works okay as long as I apply the Peptide serum right after cleansing, then I'll wait a minute, apply another product (serum or moisturizer) in between. Seems to work and kind of put a buffer between the two. I'm sure more layers before the retinol might affect absorption a bit but I'm okay with that since I'm in it for the long haul. It's the only way I've been able to work around it. I think using it in the same routine with the retinol is the better option than using it with exfoliants.

    • @louisecornwall6870
      @louisecornwall6870 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      For me, I like the marine hyaluronics because it hydrates without the irritation I often get from HA serums. My skin really seems to appreciate it. I started it in winter and it made a big difference. I later added a ferment-based toner because it doesn't sting my face the way other water-based ones do. Cover with a moisturizer and TO azelaic acid for rosacea.

      @NOBSBeauty  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree with you Louise! I like the marine hyaluronic serum because it is so so so light feeling yet super hydrating and easy to layer under other products. Pycnogenol is an amazing ingredient that protects skin from sun damage and hydrates well. A little drop in my moisturizer is great!

    I’ve tried their HA, their peptide buffet and AHA exfoliating. They’re all junk. This brand is a prime example of “you get what you pay for.” Sometimes…yes… we can find an amazing affordable product but this brand is not it. Avoid. Save your ten bucks.
