- This is what our Transfer at Oslo Gardemoen (OSL) Airport was like. We had arrived on an international flight from Copenhagen and had to walk through Oslo Airport to reach our Domestic Connection Flight to Tromsø in Northern Norway. In this video you will get an idea of how it is to transfer from an international flight to a domestic flight at Oslo Airport (OSL) in Norway. Please Be Aware! This Transfer at Oslo Gardermoen Airport was made in November 2021. At that time face mask restrictions had been removed from flights within Scandinavia and at Oslo Airport in Norway.
What are Transfer Passengers, What is a Transfer?
"Passengers who have a stopover of under 24 hours anywhere between the starting point and final destination of their journey and then board a connecting flight with the same or a different airline are referred to as transfer passengers."
What is a Transit Passenger?
"Passengers who land between the starting point and final destination of their journey and then board a connecting flight with the same flight number are referred to as transit passengers."

Thank you for this video, super helpful as I will be doing this route in two days time up to Tromso. It's quite the walk between terminals & you were striding out, I think it will take me almost twice as long, but good to be prepared! x

That’s a nice looking aiport…although the walks look a bit on the longer side. At 15:01, the scooters that are parked next to the wall, I’m assuming, are for staff use and not for passengers. Too bad.

Will flight from Iceland to Oslo (internation leg) then transit to Stravanger (domestic leg). May I ask whether I can buy duty free after I pass the domestic security check? My understanding is, I can only buy duty free goods when I arrived in the international arrival area. If I am in the domestic waiting area, I am a domestice passenger which isn't entitled to duty free.
However, i saw the duty free shops after you entered the domestic area. Do you need to pay tax when you buy stuff in the domestic area?
It would be great if you could advise. Thank you!
Were your two flights under one reservation or two separate? I'm interested because of the luggage recheck... The website says that we need to recheck our luggage and you mentioned that it was done by them (even with pictures) That is so cool! I just need to know if this has to do something with one reservation or if two separate reservations are fine too. Thank you.
I had no idea that they took a photo of your luggage to confirm it was yours if you're traveling in two seperate airlines
so basically Oslo Airport makes sure you don't have to pick up your luggage and have to check it back in if you're traveling with seperate airlines if you're coming from inernational and going domestic?
if ordering tickets for a connecting flight, how long a gap should you leave, incase of delays, between your connecting flights?

Of course you can and thanks for watching! We happen to like Tromsø very much and that is why we go there. We would like to visit more towns/cities in Norway in the future as there are so many beautiful places. We gave also been to Oslo quiet a few times on mini cruises between Copenhagen and Oslo. We have just not filmed those weekend much as they are breaks for us too :-D
