I agree the size is a little to long and with that price point they should be hand stitched, all Ashland wallets are machine stitched so you have to pay more for hand stitched is crazy, other leather companies hand stich and the price is reasonable, get it together Ashland
I wish someone would do a video on metal cards and pull tab wallets. There is a ton of those pull tab wallets. The last two wallets I had that were pulled taps, the cards slid out without any effort shaking. Even pulling the wallet out of my pocket, they would be somewhat sticking out. I even try to put the wallet in my pocket cards facing up, It doesn’t matter, the wallet will end up rotating itself in the pocket. I’m afraid one day I’m gonna lose one of my cards. Could you do a video on maybe the best pull tap cards for metal cards because those cards are a little bit heavier and more smoother than plastic cards. I ended up switching to the Kings Loot wallet for now.
The flap kills it for me, automatically. That would drive me nuts. I have the Capone, but don't carry it all that often. Gorgeous leather, just a bit bulky for me, plus not a fan of the money clip style wallet, in general.
Great review as always.. I love this channel .. anytime I’m interested in buying a particular product I always check TH-cam to see if you have a review available. So I have a couple of Ashland’s wallets all in Shell Cordovan . One thing I will say about Ashland is that they are second to no one in customer service . That alone aside from the quality of their wallets is well worth the money . I have made custom wallets with Ashland and the product is seemingly perfect. I’m convinced they have the nicest wallets and though they may be a little pricy compared to other companies the quality is not at the same level in my experience. But that’s just my thoughts . I like the overall design and the leather looks amazing... but its far from perfect. I really dislike the quick access slot in the back and it really should be hand stitched. Machine stitching makes it loose its "personality".
@@ChrispyThings Hi, Ashland DOES do hand stitch, they do custom work if you shoot them a E-mail for an up-charge of 10%, they got some exotic color patterns and you can ask them to do things like vertical Tony the Ant card holder, adding hidden slots for fat Herby Wallet. They showcase them on their main youtube channel before sending them out. It very cool of them to go out of their way to let you "make the wallet of your dream". Honestly, I'd like a Belroy note or Show and Tell design with Ashland quality be a bit much. They seem to let you make you wallet tall or with thinner leather too. I thinking Tony the Ant with Vertical card holder Brown leather outside and gunmetal inside. I do need the extra quick access slot
I enjoy your videos and generally agree with your conclusions CT. However, I have been fortunate to enjoy purchasing and carrying four of Ashland Leathers wallets/money clips , to date. It is no exaggeration to say I have been thrilled with each purchase and, while they may sometimes cost "a few dollars more," through use, every one has proven to be worth every penny paid for each of the wallets. Therefore I disagree with the conclusion that the Lucky wallet is overpriced. Just sayin...
I own multiple Ashland Leather wallets. Tony the Ant and a Fat Herbie. For the price they are able to get their Horween leather plus using the Machine Stitching, they are 100% overpriced. That doesn't mean they aren't nice. But it's also false to say they aren't overpriced. There are many small leathercrafters who utilize hand stitching and the same leathers while charging half the cost. The Lucky Wallet is definitely overpriced for the amount of leather used + machine stitched. Nice wallet, but not worth the hefty price tag.

I have the Capone in blue,honestly I like it but the inside pockets can be a bit hard to get cards out of when u have cash in it.

Ashland Leather makes great wallets, but are definitely on the pricey side

That’s a possibility but I review items the way they’re made by a company. I could absolutely trim the piece off.

In my previous comment when I was talking about metal cars and pull tabs, I meant the wallet such as Ekster, and Secrid, those type of wallets.
