Fun fact, I randomly went by Terra for about 2 years in college. Never been called that before by any friends or family but I just decided to re-invent myself after a kinda tough time/breakup, and just corrected the teacher with the new name when the first day of school happened. It was fun while it lasted but eventually came back to Theresa as it just suited me much better. Felt nice to reclaim it for myself in the end. This is probably why I really prefer longer names with plenty of nickname options because you just never know what'll feel exactly right but at least you have a solid foundation to start with.
omg omg omg!!!! hartford is suchhhhh a pretty nameeeee! man im really in love with it! thnku sooooo much sj, just thnkuuuuuuuu, i lovveeee this name!!!!! eeeeeeeeeeeep!
Oh thank you for reminding me of the name Abilene! It's really lovely. I remember there was a character in the movie The Help with this name and I thought it was really great.
Sequoia is cool, although it’s the name of a holiday park in France where I went on holiday a few years ago so might be a bit odd to name my child that 😂
Abilene was the name of a character in The Help, that's where I first heard it! Pepper is so cute, though yes, the Peppa Pig thing does put me off a bit...Iron Man's love interest is Pepper Potts I believe? (played by Gwyneth Paltrow). There's a Quigley in Series of Unfortunate Events - a triplet - Duncan, Quigley & Isadora. I've never seen Sequoia as a name! I LOVE that!
Lol....Abilene is the name of a city here in Texas. However, we pronounce it with a short A, like the A in the word absolute. For "N" names, what about Nasturtium, or Nandina (Heavenly bamboo), Nerine, Nelina, Nemesia, Nettle, Nyssa, or the word Nature. They may be a bit unusual for some, but unique and beautiful.
I just can't get behind Yves... here in Quebec it's an old man's name 😅 literally everyone has an uncle Yves (we don't pronounce the S) in their family
👍 I think my favs are Callyx and Pepper, if I used Pepper in the future I think I'd double barrel it, making it the 2nd part of the double barrel name (if I could think of the prefect name to go first) (but they're my opinion for you) :) A-Z naming is a good challenge to do 👏
I love Pepper! I associate it with the characters in Marvel and Good Omens. I had a dog named Pyper so I personally can't use it, but I will always get excited about it and encourage others to use it.
Ok here are my favorite names from the video; Abilene (in America I’ve heard it pronounced Abba-Lean like as in the place in Texas but I love the way you say it!) Delta (if it wasn’t a name of a airline I would 💯 use it!) Florens Garland (bc of the iconic Judy garland love it!) Ivory Kerith (my cousins name is Kharis which means grace so this could be another option) Mertile Orrin Terra (I like it spelled Tara personally tho:) Yves Zinnea (love Linnea pronounced La-Ney-Ah which is a flower in Sweden)
@@HelenGraceC I hadn’t either until I researched city names because all of my siblings and I are named after cities (using my cousins account rn so that’s why you see Olivia haha). Also just wanted to point out how gorgeous your name is I love it!

Loved your podcasts! For the woman who needed a GH name - I was thinking about Gaia as the first name. Still a soft sounding name but with the G at the front and I think Enzo and Gaia sounds really lovely together - maybe with something a bit random like Henriette or Harriette in the middle :)
The first way you pronounced Terra is the way my name is pronounced. My y makes the long e sound. I’ve never seen my name on a list of yours and was excited to hear just the pronunciation of my name even if it wasn’t the same spelling 😁
I honestly love Basil so much. It's not on our first name list but is still in the mix as a possible middle. And I actually like Garland. I think it's wearable. Orrin is sweet. I love the green meaning. Quigley will always make me think of A Series of Unfortunate Events. He's a great character, definitely a bold choice though. I adore Yves but prefer it for a boy. We consider Claude Yves as a doubke barrel middle to honor my great grandma, Claude Melvin (we've now leaning toward Clive as a middle instead.) My friends daughter is a little Pepper!!! We live in the US though. Unfortunately Abilene does make me think of Maybelline, but I love the thought of an Abilene nn Abe. Jessamine is lovely! I have a real soft spot for Myrtle. It's nice to see it on a list! And I actually know a Sequoia too! And not a Xylon but I know a Xyla. Generally speaking nature names are very popular in Oregon.
I was sold on ivory for a long time until my mum said about the pouching aspect of the name so we finally settled on Renée for my little lady who was born last month because I like very different names and my partner liked more genetic names so we compromised .. if it was completely down to me she would of been called Sunday !

I have a character named Abilene in one of my books! I fell in love with it when I discovered it.
Sequoia is cool, although it’s the name of a holiday park in France where I went on holiday a few years ago so might be a bit odd to name my child that 😂
Yessssss 🙌🏻 I’ve been waiting for this list
Ivory was my grandmother's name. I've always thought it was so beautiful and unique
i love ivory and terra, such gorgeous names
Yay for Texas! I'm in DFW, so not far from Abilene
LOVE Nandina! So cute. And yes, I have a relative who lives in Abilene. I don’t think it would be a popular choice here in TX.
theres an Abilene in kansas we use the short A as well but its said more ab-e-line
I just can't get behind Yves... here in Quebec it's an old man's name 😅 literally everyone has an uncle Yves (we don't pronounce the S) in their family
Same for me here in France, i just can't imagine a baby Yves 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha yep, my husband is Quebecois and there's an uncle called Yves 🤣 Hey... if you were set on a Y name Yves is better than Yannick
@@jessicastory4010 agreed 😅
Abilene is also a city in Texas. We pronounce it like Ab.bil.lene.
My friend is an Abilene! It’s also a city name in Kansas and Texas. It’s actually pronounced it with a short “a” sound (like the “a” in “Abby.”)
I LOVE REED (naturally as I'm going with the R theme) but YVES is wonderful!
I’m in love with it lately! Just looks and sounds so pretty xx
Ok here are my favorite names from the video;
Abilene (in America I’ve heard it pronounced Abba-Lean like as in the place in Texas but I love the way you say it!)
Delta (if it wasn’t a name of a airline I would 💯 use it!)
Florens
Garland (bc of the iconic Judy garland love it!)
Ivory
Kerith (my cousins name is Kharis which means grace so this could be another option)
Mertile
Orrin
Terra (I like it spelled Tara personally tho:)
Yves
Zinnea (love Linnea pronounced La-Ney-Ah which is a flower in Sweden)
That's so cool as I've never heard of Abilene at all!!!! Xx
@@HelenGraceC I hadn’t either until I researched city names because all of my siblings and I are named after cities (using my cousins account rn so that’s why you see Olivia haha). Also just wanted to point out how gorgeous your name is I love it!
@@giannaromano8413 oh really that is so cool!! Ha aww thank you!! 💗💗xx
Just realised I said so cool twice haha!!!! Xx
My Mom’s name is Grace, and her sister Robin named her daughter Caris ☺️
In the netherlands we spell florens like floris as a boy name xx
I started a tiktok account for hungarian baby names, and it blew up! I’m so excited! 😍 Thank you for embracing loving names, now I can as well! Love you SJ! 🤗❤️
I love Abiline! It's beautiful!
Zinnia is GORGEOUS! I get so name broody.
Oh my goodness I love Ivory(Rory) and Sequoia!😍 Could you do a Native American name list, please? 😄
I am so unbelievably picky and I had to add lathan to my list. I love the way it sounds. We will see if it sticks and stays on my list
I love the name Delta! I had a cat for years named Delta Dawn after the Tonya Tucker song.
Loved your podcasts! For the woman who needed a GH name - I was thinking about Gaia as the first name. Still a soft sounding name but with the G at the front and I think Enzo and Gaia sounds really lovely together - maybe with something a bit random like Henriette or Harriette in the middle :)
for a new color name- xanadu! it’s a variant of sage green, almost like a light grey green, very earthy and botanical too
The first way you pronounced Terra is the way my name is pronounced.
We consider Claude Yves as a doubke barrel middle to honor my great grandma, Claude Melvin (we've now leaning toward Clive as a middle instead.)
My friends daughter is a little Pepper!!!
I love Love Ardith, Calyx , Orin, Pepper , Sequoia and Zinnia.
I would love a list of names from Shakespeare’s plays. There are some great ones there!
For botanical names my crushes right now are Thyme such as the herb. And Zaire which means blossoming flower.
Abilene is the name of the maid from The Help (spelt differently). Her son was called Treelore, so has a nature link - I guess.
