The problem with some of the vanquest packs such as this and the mobius 2.0 is that when you start adding items the pockets and storage space gets smaller and tighter. You can tell once you start filling up the bag it will have less and less space. I initially loved the mobs 2.0 but once you fill up the side pockets the bottle holder that zips takes up main compartment space and the bag inside becomes marginal at best. This pack seems to just organize a lot of non essential items that you could get away with by purchasing a cheaper and more minimal pack in my opinion. The price seems to be high for a non USA made item. Not a bad bag just pricey for what you get. i never understood carrying a pistol in your edc bag especially if you loose your bag or have to ditch it your weapon is no good. Anyway, Vanquest customer service is top notch and they listen to their customers needs and wants so they are a good company to support. Thank you for your review and good job showing all the bags features.
Thanks. About the same size as mine, same color. Mine weighs 13lbs 'fully laden', without looking bloated. Remember EDC is 3 letters, that, to me, means a max. of 3 days.
Eyespy, thanks for the awesome overview on the KATARA-16 VSlinger Backpack! Glad to hear you've been enjoying it and look forward to more feedback. Cheers! -Alex @ Vanquest

Nice!! I'm a maxpedition freak but love this back pack considering buying one for like a carry on travel backpack and one day excursions 👍✌🇵🇷

That’s really a nice EDC bag!!!
I have this bag and love it. The shoulder straps are not comfortable at all though

Vanquest Gear please dont make it 18l the small size is what makes it so unique, the fact thats this nag is a small tank is why i bought one
Is there plans for a 18L in the future.?
Very nice review! To bad it is a pain to get this bag delivered in my country (Holland). I really wanted this bag!
Thank you , You performed a thorough review.
Do you know the nam and model # of the tripod you have in the bag?
Does the rough side of the Velcro tear up your hand in the CCW pouch?
