Odisha is home to as many as 62 scheduled tribes. In the ethnographic map of India, Odisha occupies an important place, for the settlement of the largest number of tribal communities here as compared to the other states and union territories.
The tribes of Odisha, have retained the rich and varied heritage of their life style, colourful dance and music forming an integral part of their festivals and culture. Each tribe has a cultural identity of its own.
With mindless industrialization causing rapid urbanization, the cradle of these tribal culture is no more the rustic hamlets of the countryside. As an intimate part of the tribal socio-cultural milieu, one needs to go through the tribal culture of the country to genuinely understand the spirit of tribal Odisha. They have an authenticity and a charm of their own and are among the most valuable legacies of our long and varied ethnic life style. Many have unfortunately become extinct and some tribal cultures are waiting helplessly at the down step of extinction.

Lol. Nature worship is the basis of Hinduism. We worship plants and mother nature, basically ancient rig Vedic traditions that are now limited to villagers and tribals.
About caste system,bro it's a common sense that no Dharma allows unrighteous acts, Dharma itself means righteousness. Sadly People follow manusmriti which is not even a main book, it's a very young book,but forget to follow Bhagawata Geeta which is ancient and has the words of Krishna. Brother, please read Bhagabata Geeta too. Do you know that the same manusmriti that teaches caste system also teaches humanity and respect for women. A person who has read it properly do Know this. Hinduism has many sects and sub sects. Some has caste system and some other doesn't have caste system and some other opposes it. We are living in 21st century. We are trying to erase the discriminations and lessen it as much as possible. In Hinduism,we have regional god's,tribal gods,folk god's, village gods,kuladeba and kuladebi. We have different schools of thoughts. We have a beautiful and rich culture. Why destroy it just due to few bad systems. By my surname you can see I'm a Brahmin and I have never discriminated anyone. My parents, grandparents and relatives,all of them have teach me humanity and how to respect everyone. A coin has two sides. World is full of happiness and sorrow. If there is something negative then there are positive aspects too. Caste system has lessened to many extent, the younger generation doesn't believe in discriminations. It will erase someday,but the hatred for religion and other castes will increase if you guys always think negative and toxic. Hinduism also teaches non-violence,righteousness, humanity. It also teaches that the whole world is a family. This culture is yours as much as ours. It's also your duty to preserve it. If you guys will always think negative about us then the toxicness will only increase. As todays youth, it's our duty to erase the negative sides and teach the positive side to others. If you guys will start behaving like this then we will loose our culture.
