    Hi Samantha, I also had trouble removing the cutter as you did. After thinking about it for a while I decided to get a small bowl of carb Soda and dip the cutter into it and then cut the polymer clay. It worked very well, no more sticking.

    Loved your tutorial! Very thorough explanation. Only thing I’m left wondering is the benefits of the heat gun. What is it’s purpose? Is it only to partially bake your piece so it keeps its shape when you move it or smooth the edges? Or does it do more?
    Also, do you need to subtract baking time from your calculation if you have used a heat gun?

    • @JessamaTutorials
      @JessamaTutorials  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The heat gun is used to make crackles, set the clay before you move it off a tile and such, but it doesn't interfere with the baking time. The baking time should still be at least 40 minoutes.

    • @JessamaTutorials
      @JessamaTutorials  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can. Make a plan disk of white instead of putting dots on it, sand, buff and then put acrylic dots on the shiny piece of white clay. You'll need to seal it with something like Varathane to protect the paint.

      @JessamaTutorials  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you don't want it to be shiny go with a 400 and 600 grit sandpaper to make sure you've cleaned up your clay and made the image sharp and then leave it. It will have a nice matte finish.

    Is it necessary to sand them?

      Yes. I find that if you don't sand it looks messy.

    Where can I buy that heat gun ? Is it necessary to put the pieces in the oven using the heat gun?

    • @JessamaTutorials
      @JessamaTutorials  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can buy the OZITO heat gun online, but it's not complete necessary for the project. It just makes it easier.

    What are the earrings supposed to feel like after they are baked? Hard or kind of soft and almost bendy?

    If someone drop on the ground they break?

    • @JessamaTutorials
      @JessamaTutorials  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If they are baked for long enough (1 hour) then they shouldn't break.
