- ot's of peple asked me to make ford f-150 vs chevy k5 blazer. After spending a lot of time replying them that this comparison has no point, here it is just to prove that this comparison has no point.

So essentially, the F150, K5 and H1 are unique in that they go from having amazing durability and bad terrain crossing, to low durability and high terrain crossing.
The K5 has the best durability, but the worst terrain crossing due to it's high power and wheel spin. In muddy areas it'll bog down and have a hard time, but it won't take damage easily due to it being the trade off.
The F150 is the middle ground, it has average terrain crossing, average power, and average durability. It can cross mostly all terrain without having to much problems, and it has a ok durability but still can take damage on rocky surfaces due to the stiff suspension.
The H1 is the best terrain crossing scout, being able to cross swamps, bogs, ect. with almost no problem, even without all wheel drive, or diff locks. (One or the other). But, due to it's excellent terrain abilities, it's very prone to taking damage, even by hitting small bumps in the road, it can take damage.
So mainly, it comes down to three factors when choosing these vehicles.
1: Difficulty
If you are playing on casual go for the K5 or F150 as these are more capable and better suited. The H1 will over perform.
2: Map/ Terrain
If you are playing on a map with more paved roads or dirt trails go with the K5. If you are playing a map with no road or dirt trails, but only mud and swampy areas, choose between the F150 or H1. They will be more suited for muddy areas.
3: Other Players (Multiplayer)
If with other players, see what they choose, even if it's one of the original scouts. These vehicles are each suitable for certain terrain, and can be excellent pathfinders, but you need to be able to work with your helping hands and terrain, to ensure you can be useful and not having to be pulled out of a swamp every few minutes.
I get around with the Chevy just as well as the Ford, but I don't use auto unless on paved road. I normally use 1+ or 1-3 and I feather the throttle accordingly. So the Fords speed advantage never really comes into play.
I used the k5 blazer in the new dlc rocky hills it is king of that map but the k5 hates thick mud and deep water
you should have chosen f150 cuz its alot better
it also hates the swamp in that map
The Ford does a good job as a scout. I'd love to see a battle of the scouts to really show off the strengths and weaknesses of all of them contrasted against one another.
Freightliner might be better than Bison but I like the old GM trucks more. Most people never even knew the Bison existed because it was only built for 3 years. The otherwise identical GMC General survived 5 more years (even spent one year as a WhiteGMC) before Volvo canned all the GM trucks.

The tires on the k5 look like the wrangler dura tracks. And to be fair the f150 is a 93-96 and the k5 is a 78
In the new dlc, old timers there are scout trailers. See if the scout trailers hook up to the f150

I have a 94 302 5 speed with 32” tires has a bunch of old truck problems but it’s reliable as hell
I love the K5..
But just like in life it all comes down to what you are doing with them
The only problem I have with the Ford is that a should have a TTB with coils up front, rather than a leaf sprung solid axle.
I'm sure there were some kind of limitations that force them to do it this way but they could have made it an F-350 and give it a diesel and then the solid axle would have been accurate.

lol designer was ford biased! I've been wheeling in fords and K5 is way more offroad capable than any ford I been in, including 1st gen bronco
byknmike rc first off this isn’t a first gen bronco, but you probably knew that and were just saying, second off wouldn’t that normally be the case because a first gen bronco is older design and technology compared to a 70s k5 and anyhow I’ve never been in a Chevy but I did grow up in a 94 f150, best damn truck in the world, my dad drove the truck till rust ate it alive (we live in Iowa) then he sold it to his dad and he still drives it, it’s set for 2 years and when we went to see if it would run the other day it picked up after a few cranks and started to sound like it picked up where we left off, 300,000 plus miles on it, now my dad owns and drives an 89 bronco and it’s just as reliable as ever as well, I don’t know near as much about Chevy but don’t go comparing a k5 to a first gen bronco, besides that many first gems are being modified and I can definitely understand that games aren’t always the most realistic, like speed is a big one for instance anyhow everyone has a story on how their brand that they like is reliable
@@danielfrederick306 no doubt ford is good, we sold our '83 bronco to a fella had 1million miles on an old f100. I am refering to offroad capabilities of a solid axle vs independant front, plus the all around design of the k5 was optimal for offroad. I've been in a LOT of trucks wheeeling and stock for stock k5 is best. one of our buddies even has diesel D90 thats not quite what chevy will do.
Lived in South Carolina, the mud boys swear by 78 79 bronco never get stuck, so I bought 2, one for parts! They were right!

They both have their cons and pros. I think k5 blazer is meant for on road and light off-road while f-150 can do medium off-roading and maybe heavy off roading. It all just depends on what map, what add ons, and your skill. If you were to compare those excluding the sticky tires in k5 blazer, then that’s when you a special treat called the hummer h1. Anyways getting straight to the point. You make some of the best videos. Sure there’s little mistakes but that’s fine. Everyone makes mistakes that can be understood by others. Just want you to know that not everybody can be perfect. And that’s good because if everyone was perfect there would be no entertainment because we would all think that’s dumb. Now since we aren’t we all get to have our own conversation, agreements and disengagement’s. Just want you to know that you probably take about hours to get your video finished. And remember. You don’t always have to make videos in 1 to 2 days. You can always take a break whenever you want. No one will stop you from having your own personal time. People should understand that you and many others can’t keep working 24/7. It’s your life, so make the best of what you can with it.

This is not realistic.I had had both 79 bronco and a 77 blazer.The ford will not run in water distributer right by the fan floods out immediately. Chevy much better in water.Front end on the ford wouldn't stay in line.I had a 76u cherokee chief that ran ran circles around the bronco except it had a ford distributor and a ford voltage regulator.Which would flood easy.I had to put a motorcycle tube on the distributor with silicone.Also had to carry extra votage regulators until I had an electrician chamge wiring around.The 351 block cracked when the thermostat went out in the woods barely overheated. My freinds bronco did the same thing.I overheated the blazer 350 and the jeep 360 numerous times wheeling and pulling trailers.Never did any engine damage.Chevy much easier to maintain and afford to fix.

Been there done that with chevy k10/blazers They have shitty frames that crack behind the gear box, Frames crack at the shock mounts....Simply lookup Stunt Double on youtube and watch Stacey from trucks go through about 20 problems with square body chevys……..Fords were built much much better including the chassis and frames.
Realistically you should have put the k5 against the Bronco and f150 against square body Chevy pick up either way chevy wins

Console users...the blazer goes thru the mud and sloppy mud like its supposed to on the ISLAND MAP..check it out you will see
i would ford for crossing thick piles of mud and swamps and i would use the chevy for non wet areas
And i think Ford is more controllable on the road...I am using an Logitech G27 and Chevy is like drifting all the time when I floor it.
the k5 blazer is not a great choice as the transmission will break, the f150 is a better option

@@SD1ONE I managed to do it, but it was a tough thing to do. After towing it to a steep place I pushed it over with a C-Class Truck. I think its only this hard because it lacks good towing points.
You need to test on grass hill and rock thats the chevys strengths
I build real off road mud trucks. The 80 to 96 f150 and bronco is far better then the 70s to 85 Chevy GMC 1500 blazer or Jimmy. The reason is the frame on the fords can take alot more abuse before cracks start. The longer travel suspension Ford ttb Dana 44 front diff follows the ground better increasing traction in burly terrain and the longer length of the fords rear leaf springs also increases suspension travel increasing traction again. These are hard facts that reflect a stock from the dealer truck NOT a modified lifted truck. NO TRUCK HAS WON MORE DESERT RACES THEN THE 80 TO 96 F150/ BRONCO PLATFORM. Just another hard fact.

The K5 looks better in my opinion, but it’s absolutely horrible in deep mud and water, whereas the F-150 is much better in those environments.
