The rally had two stages, one was a full lap stage and the one with the gravel parts had a small lap part in it.

Bedankt Gijs! Er komt weer een heel geregel bij kijken om mooie onboards met intercom te krijgen, kaartjes/accu's die vervangen moeten worden, materiaal moet je later weer ophalen. Ik houd het wel op buitenbeelden. ;)
Voor teamvideo's zelf gebruik ik vaak wel onboards die de teams aanleveren.

Most factory fit exhaust with more then one tip are really just for looks, they use a split piece welded in to exhaust in the middle or towards the back of the car to split the exhaust in two. The larger bore single exhaust fitted to the rally cars are far less restrictive.
You can't just say exhaust systems are generally like that, it varies so much depending on the mufflers and piping size used.

Hij is weer fijn! Mooi dat het rallyseizoen weer begonnen is! Nu kunnen we namelijk weer genieten van dit soort video's. Waarom plaats je trouwens nooit een van je Go Pro's aan boord bij deelnemers? Volgens mij ken je er genoeg, of niet? Of heb je voor onboard beelden weer een aparte accreditatie nodig?
3:35 it's the Turbo working:)
they aren't true dual exhaust, an inline 4 or 6 cylinder turbo engine go from 4 or 6 to 1 then through the turbo then split to 2, so they eliminate the split and have a larger diameter and (usually) straight pipe. So really they are restricted more by the test pipe from the turbo and not the exhaust pipe. Hope that helps
I may be wrong, but both these cars have a single exhaust pipe after their manifold merge (6 in 2 in 1 for the V6) or after the turbo (Evo) and then a big rear muffler with dual tips. So I suppose they got rid of the heavy muffler and kept the single exhaust pipe layout for simplicity and lower weight.

I think it's becouse of Anti-lag or better exhaust system which increases torque/power at lower revs
My only guess would be that a properly tuned (harmonics) single outlet exhaust can be more efficient than a dual exhaust. Perhaps also weight reduction?

Iemand enig idee wat de motorisering in die Citroën C2's is? Lijkt me zo geweldig als je zo'n kanonnetje als dagelijkse auto hebt. Al die sjonnie's met Civic's en Golfjes eruit trekken :)
All I know about why one would have single instead of dual is because single is louder.
is this a lap event or a point to point? and why would some cars (EVO,350/70Z) go from a dual exhaust(stock) to a more restrictive single exhaust?
where does this squeak from the subaru at 3:35 come from?
An EVO has one turbo, so a single exhaust pipe connects to the turbo. More pipes are unnecessary and add weight.
its simpler and cheaper. as long as you increase the diameter, it wont make much of a difference. also these cars have their CATs removed i think.
