ive just fitted the 2006 year wheels to mine to I looked online so many forums talk so much shit its unreal the rear fists are straight on the front you have to space the brake discs 4mm each and it fits just in case you want to know
Welcome back. I would like to see the liners being done and see the full rebuild of the rear swing arm. Or a restoration of the whole bike back to how it was when new. Good luck.
hi mate yea i think im leaning towards liners so im looking into it and have already found a company that can supply the liners. The bike will get all new bearings throughout and i will be doing the swing arm and something with the rear shock too
i followed you for the r1 fork conversion on my R6, im trying now to convert the rear and front end to look like the 2016 year ish if you know anything??
@@googlelimp9834 not possible with these due to their liner design, however the 5sl or having the steel liners done makes an overbore possible. you wont get 700cc though, thats too much to take out of and engine, with an over bore you would be seeing around 630cc
also the bigger the piston the more moving mass which will lower rpm. 600s are screamers where as 1000cc is more thumpy low down tourque and lower max rpm
@@JRRetroRebuilds yeah but what about the original R7? i believe that was made from an old R6 engine I belive?? ill have to have a look up I cantremeber to be honest lol
Welcome back mate. Love the R6's

If you do reline a 98-02 model engine, do yourself a favour and drop a complete 03-05 improved gearbox into it, but I'm sure you know that
