This happened to my little dog (shitzu x pug) PDSA said to put her down but my gut was telling me no. She wasn't in pain she was healthy. pdsa showed me how to help her go to the toilet. Full bed rest for 6 months 7 months later she got up and walked again.

Great Danes are such amazing dogs !!!!! His recover is the hard work of his family and especially the doctors and staff that worked tirelessly to help him💙💙💙
We have a 5 month old Great Dane & this is so scary!! She is such a sweetheart & and true gentle giant!! ❤ So happy to see Skittles playing with his sister after such a horrible injury to his spine!! ❤
A puppy and I am obsessed with him he is litterelly my favorite pet that I ever had
Oh he is so adorable, I pray he will really recover. For such a young pup it's real heartbreaking. Please do what you can and just love him. 😘😘🤗🤗😢😢😽😽💖💖
My heart goes out to you all. I lost a good friend, dear George from something similar 16 years ago, I still miss him. Much love to all who mad this a great story with a great result!

Magnificent boy
Praying he doesn't have to have an amputation. But if he does 3 legged dogs often manage very well❤
Omg, u never know how these will end and my stomach was in my throat til just about the end. You Docs are truly Angels from heaven.
What a heart warming story! Im overjoyed that Skittles ability to walk is a small miracle. Thanks to all at SASH for his rehabilitation. You're the best!❤
That was an amazing video. Great job to all the staff at SASH. God bless you all
aww poor Skittles i feel so so so so so bad for him i hope his spine heels soon ok
Looks like the Dane had an FCE (Fibrocartilaginous Embolism). My Schnauzer had one as well. My pup came back 100% perfect.
My working sheepdog did as well, lots of PT and the pool was amazing. 18 months later and working again.
Greatest outcome ever God bless ❤🐾🙏💕🤗
SKittles lovely name for a dog
Please use dog harness instead of collar!
When the dog pulls while wearing a collar, pulling puts intense strain on the dog’s neck and can easily lead to a serious injury. Many times, these injuries aren’t obvious. It’s more of a gradual deterioration than a sudden pain. Excited dogs are too concerned with what they’re doing to realize they’re actually hurting themselves. Any kind of strain on a dog’s neck has potential to be painful. Extra pressure around the neck squeezes the dog’s windpipe and can make breathing difficult. A collar can exacerbate some dogs’ preexisting medical conditions. This is especially true for dogs with back issues, glaucoma, or a history of neck or trachea problems. Tracheal collapse is another chronic disease that can be worsened by wearing a collar. Choke collars and prong collars can seriously damage a dog’s neck. I learned from a holistic veterinarian that collar restricts energy flow in the neck and it can cause chronic ear problems and head problems in the long run. On the other hand, Harnesses disperse the strain across a larger area of the dog’s body to protect them from injury. A good harness can alleviate back pain. They’re also far less likely to pull on the dog’s throat, causing injury. My heart breaks every time I see anyone walks his/her dog with a dog collar. Dog collars are extremely inhumane, dogs are families, they are not slaves! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Great story
aww Soda is so so so so so so cute
Happy Easter Skittles
So glad Skittles' recovery went so well. 😊
He's a lucky one!
PLEASE HELP ME AND MY CAT!!!!
I've got a seven-year-old cat that woke up one morning about 2-3 months ago that is in the same condition that this dog is in. I took him to my vet and all she said was to give him vitamin D and sent me home. when that did not work and I took him back she said that I should put him down or take him somewhere else.
How do I get a second opinion on him without the first opinion finding out when I live in a small town?
I hope he gets better
Poor baby...😢😢😢
Happy Easter Rhad
Poor Poor skittles
Best wishes ❤🐕❤
Poor dog 🐕
I had a dog that happened to. We had to put her down. It was a sad day.
Why put your dog down? You could have used a wheel chair for your poor pup!

This was 2014 I saw the date on the screen

❤❤❤❤👏🇨🇭
❤😢😂😂😮
I’m praying for him, but I kinda wanna know what happened
watch until the end, there is a part how he is after 3 months, he is running again
My heart sank when I heard that he might need amputation. I am glad that he is getting better! Please try veterinary chiropractic treatments by certified veterinary chiropractor and please try acupunture by certified veterinarian who has a degree of veterinary acupuncture before considering amputation. I know many dogs and cats that were paralyzed can walk again after animal chiropractic and acupuncture treatments! Also physiotherapy and rehabilitation are very helpful! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
