    i was there unfortunately. on the beach, and in the water. one of the furthest people out there. trust me y’all it felt like a movie. the sherif was running on the beach screaming get out of the water. it was the most scariest feeling in my life and it changed my perspective and life. And keep swimmers safe.
    40 feet from low tide should be enough beach space for swimmers.

      It's relative. Considering over 70 million people swim in American oceans every year, only 50 people attacked per year is very rare. Chicken pox is a rare infection and 200k people get it per year, but when you compare it to the population it's highly unlikely.

      If you applied that same logic to traffic accidents, would you ever drive again?
      I get the fear, but odds wise if you are just wading in knee or even waist deep water around other people your chances of getting attacked are basically the same as walking under a slightly dark clouded sky and getting hit by lightning. It can happen, but it probably won't as is the case with many things in life.

    I vacation a lot in south carolina, lots of sharks there but not many attacks, sharks are very smart, they will hang out at the fishing piers looking for handouts one day I cleaned a fish and threw the rest over, a 7 foot tiger shark was out of the water before it hit the water, I always have a knife strapped to my leg when I go swimming, they will come and give you a test bump or a small bite before attacking, if that happens go for those cold eyes they will go away, if not at least it is blind gives you a chance to get away

    • @jc_hills1540
      @jc_hills1540 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Clearly they’re still misunderstood, judging by your comment💀. Just don’t panic or act like prey when u see a shark, cuz that triggers their predator instincts. They use there mouths to feel objects/creatures that they’re curious about. So once you start splashing, panicking, they’re gonna investigate you. You can also redirect a shark if they swim towards u. And these attacks could’ve been avoided if people were aware that sharks are nearby and know how to deal with one when they encounter it
