When I first heard this song, I knew it would make a beautiful piano piece. I have no idea where you're at in life right now, Jonathan, but I want to thank you for putting a smile on my face tonight.
God I remember when I first 100% this game, I was so happy to finish it and to hear this song at the end just seemed like vindication for all the hard work i put into the game. Seeing it arranged like this so beautifully makes me about as happy when I beat the game, great work!
I've never heard a finer piece, and I mean it! If you are willing to send a midi of the song or a top down, I would love to write some sheet music to go along with it.
this song is so beautiful and so is the arrangement, Return to Dreamland is my favorite Kirby game to this day. I hope that you're willing to share the sheet music someday :^)
@Jonas Porter I now have a channel on my Discord server where you can suggest tunes I've covered to write out lead sheets (melody and chords) for. There's also a link to all of the sheets I've made before. I'll try to remember to add this to my queue when I'm back from my leave, but if you ask there that should make sure I don't forget it.
I really need to play this game, but it still goes for a cool 50-60 dollars everywhere I go!! I'm afraid it will never drop....but, I can at least see why it sits there. It's a phenomenal game, I can tell.
You can find a MIDI visualization of me playing through this tune at the end of the Return to Dream Land medley I did a couple years back: th-cam.com/video/wKpcM35Zmxo/w-d-xo.html If you're interested in learning the piece, you can also look at the lead sheets I wrote out for it (which you can find linked in my Discord server or my channel description).
I don't have full transcriptions, but if you look on my channel's "about" tab you can find a link to a Drive folder that has the lead sheets I was reading off of (in the "Return to Dream Land Medley" folder).
I have a link to a Google Drive folder of lead sheets I've done for some of the tunes I've arranged linked in my channel description, as well as on my Discord server.
It's definitely not one of the easier things I've recorded, ha. I don't have full sheet music of my arrangements, but I have written out a lead sheet of the original tune; you can find that here: drive.google.com/drive/folders/19SRaE9fDmZVEl1mcu1pvA7fo35V8N0T8?usp=sharing

Personally, it's a song full of childhood memories. You put it so beautifully. Thank you for arranging the song.

This is so beautiful, Jon! I think this definitely deserves a Subscription! *Sheds a tear* This brings back so many memories... I love it!
I still agree with this comment.
I again, still agree with this comment.

I love the way you cover stuff like this. Amazing job!
This is so lovely!
This is pure magic! Fantastic done!
Love this rendition so much, nice playing. Only wish there was sheet music!
I don't have a full transcription, but I could write out a sheet of the original melody and chord progression I used, if you'd like.

It's always an option to use an emulator to play this game. I bought this game around when it came out and I just started to replay it on an emulator.
How to play the game. Buy a Wii and the disc from Ebay. Enjoy
The nostalgia is killing meeeeeee!

hello, very good video
I have a student who really likes that score, do you have a pdf that can be shared?

Where can I get the notesheet
I have a link to a Google Drive folder of lead sheets I've done for some of the tunes I've arranged linked in my channel description, as well as on my Discord server.
Is this piece difficult to play? (sounds very complicated) Is the music score available somewhere?
It's definitely not one of the easier things I've recorded, ha. I don't have full sheet music of my arrangements, but I have written out a lead sheet of the original tune; you can find that here:
