When one is so one with their instrument , the boundaries between the two often dissolve completely - it's like caressing a long time lover : one's fingers know where to go & what to do , and Divine Magic enters the scene - it's overwhelming when that happens

Glenn's obsession with the instrument plus his gentle genius and the liberty to perform these works with hardly any directions from the composer on how to do so , and the invention of cameras , television , ampex recording and the internet - we are so bleeping fortunate to be allowed to enjoy such moments and share them . . . Glenn & Bach created a Big Bang in a Universe of their own - and we're allowed to dwell there , thanx to our Parents and Theirs - can one be anything else than grateful ?

A timeless treasure - deep thanks for this FlockOfHaws!Magnificent, almost perfect and definitive !
My inspired comment about "Glenn Gould and J.S. Bach :

BACH by the extraordinary, unique artist Sir Glenn Gould :
    “United superbly by God,
that ressonates and spreads this sublime music over all Universe.
    | An infinite - (fited and adequated,) - stage for them. |
    Luminous and vast.
And the galaxies and stars fully absorved by both
    in consonance
    brigthens more and more.
With grace, plentiness, ressonance and gratitude,
    in reverence, imensity and communion."
    Ars Plena.Vita Aeternum.― Yan☆Ayrton (1998- ) , eine young classical composer.
    Bach für immer Bach!
“ In Bach's music, for me, the easthetics and religiocity are so superbly intermingled that I am constantly led from one to the other, and I do not experience that from any other source of music. His music fills my eyes with tears and my heart with abundance of emotion, and that both through the beauty of music and reverence for God. It almost looks to me that God of Christianity to whom Bach devoted wanted to validate the truthfulness of his reality through this particular human being name 'Bach.' The gift from Bach to me is precious beyond description. By the way, I am infinitely gratefull to him and his music is the most precious food and light to my soul and as a humble composer in classical music is a transcendental way to maintain in sublime subtil communion with Johann SebastYAN Bach." Yan Ayrton
(Just imagine if Bach had a Bosendorfer Imperial to compose. The entire Universe would be far more eloquent and vibrant in quantic and plastic possibilites.)
(Listen to my special compositions like 'Lebe, drücke dich aus und fühle' and "Zirkel” and “Petite Galop Cromatique” and also "Awakening to Life" piano singular and unique pieces of imaginative profound music. Be prepared to get emotional.)
''Music is the greatest human achievment invention all ages "― Yan Ayrton, junger klassischer Komponist

My spanish isn't very good , but i _do_ get your point and you _are_ right : it was written for the instruments of that era & the piano was not invented yet
But mr Gould _does_ Share his Journey through this Heavenly Music by means of a sublime Grand Piano
Baroque instruments may render it more authentic , but it would not nearly move me so deeply as this version

@@FlockOfHawks Well, the pianoforte was there although its sound was less poweful and with few dynamics and effects. In spite of that, Bach wouldn't be against the modern piano and would surely use its possibilities and would admire people playing his compositions so well. "Keyboard" these days has the nasty connotation of cheap 5 octave electronic plastics with built-in rhythm sections and mid-fi speakers - Mister Gould plays something completely different : a Sublime Steinway Grand Piano , a Divine Instrument , a Gateway to Eternity

Too slow, Bernstein should have stuck to romantic composers.

Mr Bernstein follows Mr Gould's temperament - quite an achievement i'd say . . .
