Regine is the OG. She set the standard back in the mid 80's, and her legacy continues with singers of this generation like Kat and Jona. As long as Regine keeps inspiring younger generations, her legacy will live on.

Her extreme breath support is the result of her unmatched stamina, allowing her to sustain notes until Bb5. Regine still had more power in her belts during her prime but stamina goes to Katrina.

Aside from Regine singing multiple songs for 10-15 consecutive nights (Ating Musika Concert, Reging Sings Streisand, Regine at the Movies, etc.) in a full-length concert, don't forget that she's also a host and an actress. Not to mention her other endeavors which could compromise her voice by not having enough time to rest. But Katrina is great too. Plus don't confuse breath support with breath management. 🙂
@@ccjccj4979 lol. Katrina was singing in music hall non-stop FOR YEARS. Only pandemic put a stop to it. Namaos ba sya? No. Also, breath management and breath support are both Katrina's fortes. She's skillful enough to manage the air in her lungs, and has well developed lungs due to non-stop singing since childhood because that's how she provided food on their table. The fact that she can sustain G#5 for 10 seconds while sitting down is a proof that her lungs have great support even when it's bent due to her position. Regardless of these truths, Regine is Regine. She's a legend. No one's discrediting that so don't be pressed. Pero the fact remains that she's not the best at everything. Ganun talaga. Desiderata.

Regine's stamina is unmatched during her prime. But I agree with agility and breath support (management).
