I was actually here on the 2nd night with my Aunt. Hanggang paguwi at ilang linggo na nakalipas pinaguusapan parin namin ang Reigning Still that time. Di kami makamove on. Her Reigning Still concert had bittersweet undertones bc Regine was really saying then that this is her last big solo major concert and after this, she will just do some every 4 yrs (maybe for anniv concerts). In hindsight, she made good on that promise - she never stepped on big venues again except for anniversaries and valentine show collabs. Her past shows such as Narito Ako, Regine In Season, R2K, Reigning Still, etc are all solo major concerts that are not anniversaries. During this time (2004), she was saying then that big concerts such as these were physically exhausting and expensive and she seems more than willing and ready to pass on the crown to the younger ones (the champions starting with Sarah, Sheryn, Rachelle etc). Plus she was also at the crossroads of her life - she was 34 and had not yet started a family much less a proper lovelife (she was still "single" and loveless at the eyes of the public during this time).
She broke that promise and now staging the repeat of Regine Rocks. It's going to be her first time doing 2 consecutive years staging a major concert on big venue (not anniversary concert)

If my memory serves me right, in SOP during the promotion of this concert, she said that this will be her the last major concert that's why she gave her all. She showed us that she is versatile. She is not just a amazing songstress but a rocker chic and a dancer (the bestest dancer ever, as she claimed hehe) especially on the encore, Oh my, Michael Jackson Medley (by that time, maybe proving to herself that she still have it and she can offer more to her fans). But for me, this is just a proof that when you really dream, plan, and work hard on it, you can have it, you can do it. A trademark of a true performer, and an icon. No wonder after this concert, she still had major concerts, and almost every year she performs in a stage solo, or collaboration. And up to this day, yes, she is Reigning Still. Pamasko pa sakin ng pinsan ko na dinaanan ko pa sa office nya yung 500 na pambili ng ticket. Kaunaunahang concert ni ate na napanood ko like it was a dream come true. Naalala ko yung goosebumps. I remember this watching December 2005 ata ito 2006 4 hrs ako nagantay sa loob ng araneta para sa upper box B!!! Pamasko pa sakin ng pinsan ko na dinaanan ko pa sa office nya yung 500 na pambili ng ticket. Kaunaunahang concert ni ate na napanood ko like it was a dream come true. Naalala ko yung goosebumps. Napawi ang gutom at pagkalungkot dahil magisa lang ako hello. Agaw eksena dito si Kyla dahil halos di pa masyadong popstar royalty si Ate mong Sarah G at halos katatapos lang Star in a million ni Erik Santos. Pero iba pa rin si Ate hindi magpapatalo. Naalala ko yung duet nila ni Ariel at ang paseksi ni Ate. Pati ang malalang pag-ulan sa araneta nakakaloka! At yung pabonus ni Ate na kunwari tapos na. Tapos gagayahin namin ito at ipeperform sa school. Grabe. Brings back the memories. Woo! Songbird!!! We love you!! Salamat sa lahat! Salamat Super Saiyan.
