Mate, it makes it for you. The research is the "Special Research" and not the Daily tasks or anything. If you completed all the research then that means you beat the boss, because he's on stage 5/6.

And then now during the Pandemic, the last time people could've gotten that research was in March until *just now* - the current Pre-GO Fest event is all about Team GO Rocket and they brought back Giovanni. Yeah, it's been the damndest thing - that battery icon has been there for almost an entire month and it's still going! Definitely go with name-brand batteries ;) But that's beside the point. In the past I went with alternatives, but I think it was harder this time because I only got to fight Giovanni the one time :( He'll be back, of course, so maybe next time I can use an entirely different team and see if I can include that team and mention this one too! If you need help on a specific team he has against you, feel free to reply again, but essentially you want to think about using an awesome Fighting type, then an awesome Water type, for the first two fools he throws out, and then to beat the Articuno you can try some substitutes if you don't have Melmetal like this video; maybe Golem with Rock attacks (Specifically Rock Blast), or I've even seen some people use Tyranitar with Smack Down/Stone Edge but the thing that worries me is it being just a bit squishy to Articuno's heavy-hitting attacks. It would only be once-a-month back then (this video is from 2019)... he is coming back around now though, with the new Team GO Rocket event coming up as we write these comments. It's tied to a Super Rocket Radar, essentially...if you don't have a Super Rocket Radar, you can't encounter him - the Super Rocket Radar is given through Special Research 9 times out of 10; there was once during April Fools in 2021 or so that they gave a Super Radar through *Timed* Research rather than Special Research.

Please don’t give anyone the incorrect information: Giovanni encountered through Balloons AND PokeStops currently yields a Shadow Mewtwo. Thank you, yeah, this comes from back when Giovanni was first put into the game! 2019! Anyway, current is Regirock, and while it hasn't been confirmed who Giovanni will have next you can probably go multiple directions with it: Either they'll bring back Shadow Lugia & Shadow Ho-Oh, or they'll do something new with Shadow Legendary Dogs/Beasts or Shadow Kyogre and Shadow Groudon (then maybe RayRay after?)... if the latter, buckle up! I would guess the next Shadow Legendary rotation for Giovanni and the Leaders will be next month
I'm guessing you mean two Charge moves, right? You can teach *any* Pokemon two charge attacks, as long as they can actually learn two Charge Attacks (I imagine all of them can, but I just wanted to qualify with that disclaimer).

You have to beat the very first Team GO Rocket quest, it was given back in (I want to say) July 2019-ish. It will automatically be in your game after you are at stage 2 or so at minimum on the first Special Research of the game.
That's because of the pandemic; Niantic did not make a new Team GO Rocket special research until very recently with the Balloons (and GO Fest if you did that), but told us players that there will not be new Special Research until October 1st

Hey there, my friend; I'd say there's no problem with putting in a team of Pokemon you don't care about fainting just to see, but they'd have to be powerful enough to make it at least past the first Pokemon in this case, since we know Giovanni will always end on a Legendary bird (Articuno in this case)... ultimately, it's a great strategy to know what they have first so you can then put in your fully optimized team on the second go-around with him. If you've completely finished the most recent Special Research for Giovanni then you won't be able to encounter him again until there's a new Special or Timed Research that gives a Super Rocket Radar...it's all tied to the Super Rocket Radar

The last quest when Shadow Mewtwo became a thing was called "An Inter-egg-sting Development" but that quest is now unavailable to get, which means you've missed Shadow Mewtwo. The next Team GO Rocket research is said to be coming in 2021, we can presume in January, but the most likely scenario is Giovanni will have a different Shadow Legendary, since he switches every time there's a new research

Most people trip up against his Persian because they try to use Fighting types against Scratch, whereas all Fighting types except a highly-powered Lucario usually get paper shredded by Scratch. If the Persian has Feint Attack, then yeah, use your pure Fighting types all day.
You'll have to wait, unfortunately, until they get a new Team GO Rocket quest put into the game. The last one was months ago, unless you count the paid Masterworks research that came with the Johto Tour ticket

Unfortunately this means you'll need to contact Niantic via the in-app Support. Use their Support chat to describe what happened and they will most likely send you a Super Rocket Radar and you'll need to defeat Giovanni again.

Hey there! Shadow Articuno certainly is a Pokemon, but it was the one introduced with Giovanni waaay back in November 2019. At this time, Giovanni has COVID or something because the devs aren't doing any new Giovanni special research until October 1st at the earliest. At that time, he'll probably be using Shadow Suicune, because he just had Shadow Entei, with Shadow Raikou being the month before that.

I haven't got any challenges that ask me to beat any rocket Go leaders I've only completed 1 rocket mission and it didn't say anything about beating giovanni I'm lvl 26 and I've beaten Arlo but I didn't get anything for it so idk
I am guessing that Team GO Rocket research you did was the very first one in the game (I think it was called "A Troubling Situation") and it only had 4/4 stages...all Giovanni Special Research will have 6 stages (6/6) and have different names. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, they are not putting in any new Team GO Rocket special research quests until October 1st, presumably for Giovanni with Shadow Suicune
Check your inventory because the Super Rocket Radar will not go away *ever* until you *DEFEAT* Giovanni (fighting and losing to him won't remove it, or just scanning, etc.) But right now, Giovanni isn't in the game - they mentioned it in the September blog on PokemonGOlive.com
They will be bringing the Team GO Rocket special research (Giovanni) back on October 1st, presumably with Shadow Suicune so that they can finish out the Legendary dog trio. The reason for such a long pause in Special Research is the COVID-19 pandemic

Giovanni can be in Balloons and PokeStops both - the thing that it's tied to specifically, however, is the Super Rocket Radar. If you have a Super Radar, you can encounter Giovanni at any time you can find a Stop with him or Balloon.

The task isn't dependent on beating the leaders. It's just turning your app on when they actually are giving out the Special Research. If you didn't log in and play during that time, unfortunately you'll have to wait until they drop a new Special Research quest

Yes, Regice is the current Shadow Legendary at the time of this comment. It very-likely will continue to be Regice until late May or early June, if we judge when Registeel came in & then switched to 'ice. Per usual, always look at Niantic's announcements relating to Team GO Rocket to find which one Giovanni is using

It's tied to a Super Rocket Radar, essentially...if you don't have a Super Rocket Radar, you can't encounter him - the Super Rocket Radar is given through Special Research 9 times out of 10; there was once during April Fools in 2021 or so that they gave a Super Radar through *Timed* Research rather than Special Research.
The reason you didn't get Mewtwo was either its a Pokéstop not a balloon. Otherwise not released.

Please don’t give anyone the incorrect information: Giovanni encountered through Balloons AND PokeStops currently yields a Shadow Mewtwo. Will likely change to a new Shadow Legendary in the next few weeks, but until then there are many Shadow Mewtwo strategies in videos on this channel.

Anyway, current is Regirock, and while it hasn't been confirmed who Giovanni will have next you can probably go multiple directions with it:
Either they'll bring back Shadow Lugia & Shadow Ho-Oh, or they'll do something new with Shadow Legendary Dogs/Beasts or Shadow Kyogre and Shadow Groudon (then maybe RayRay after?)... if the latter, buckle up!
I would guess the next Shadow Legendary rotation for Giovanni and the Leaders will be next month

You can teach *any* Pokemon two charge attacks, as long as they can actually learn two Charge Attacks (I imagine all of them can, but I just wanted to qualify with that disclaimer).

You have to beat the very first Team GO Rocket quest, it was given back in (I want to say) July 2019-ish. It will automatically be in your game after you are at stage 2 or so at minimum on the first Special Research of the game.

Hey there, my friend; I'd say there's no problem with putting in a team of Pokemon you don't care about fainting just to see, but they'd have to be powerful enough to make it at least past the first Pokemon in this case, since we know Giovanni will always end on a Legendary bird (Articuno in this case)... ultimately, it's a great strategy to know what they have first so you can then put in your fully optimized team on the second go-around with him. The last quest when Shadow Mewtwo became a thing was called "An Inter-egg-sting Development" but that quest is now unavailable to get, which means you've missed Shadow Mewtwo. The next Team GO Rocket research is said to be coming in 2021, we can presume in January, but the most likely scenario is Giovanni will have a different Shadow Legendary, since he switches every time there's a new research

Most people trip up against his Persian because they try to use Fighting types against Scratch, whereas all Fighting types except a highly-powered Lucario usually get paper shredded by Scratch. If the Persian has Feint Attack, then yeah, use your pure Fighting types all day.

Unfortunately this means you'll need to contact Niantic via the in-app Support. Use their Support chat to describe what happened and they will most likely send you a Super Rocket Radar and you'll need to defeat Giovanni again.

Shadow Articuno certainly is a Pokemon, but it was the one introduced with Giovanni waaay back in November 2019. At this time, Giovanni has COVID or something because the devs aren't doing any new Giovanni special research until October 1st at the earliest. At that time, he'll probably be using Shadow Suicune, because he just had Shadow Entei, with Shadow Raikou being the month before that.

Of course that's the same as Pokémon Collosuem and the sequel to it. And they will have to bring Wes in this game. Not really sure because Wes is from a different generation in Pokémon history. I haven't got any challenges that ask me to beat any rocket Go leaders I've only completed 1 rocket mission and it didn't say anything about beating giovanni I'm lvl 26 and I've beaten Arlo but I didn't get anything for it so idk
I am guessing that Team GO Rocket research you did was the very first one in the game (I think it was called "A Troubling Situation") and it only had 4/4 stages...all Giovanni Special Research will have 6 stages (6/6) and have different names. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, they are not putting in any new Team GO Rocket special research quests until October 1st, presumably for Giovanni with Shadow Suicune

Check your inventory because the Super Rocket Radar will not go away *ever* until you *DEFEAT* Giovanni (fighting and losing to him won't remove it, or just scanning, etc.)

It's not possible unless you find some kind of glitch, or had another quest to complete for this month
They will be bringing the Team GO Rocket special research (Giovanni) back on October 1st, presumably with Shadow Suicune so that they can finish out the Legendary dog trio. The reason for such a long pause in Special Research is the COVID-19 pandemic

Giovanni can be in Balloons and PokeStops both - the thing that it's tied to specifically, however, is the Super Rocket Radar. If you have a Super Radar, you can encounter Giovanni at any time you can find a Stop with him or Balloon.
It only took mega Venusaur to defeat all the pokemon of team rocket boss, one pokemon defeated them all 😂

The task isn't dependent on beating the leaders. It's just turning your app on when they actually are giving out the Special Research. If you didn't log in and play during that time, unfortunately you'll have to wait until they drop a new Special Research quest

Yes, Regice is the current Shadow Legendary at the time of this comment. It very-likely will continue to be Regice until late May or early June, if we judge when Registeel came in & then switched to 'ice.
