He definitely gets frustrated and had much rather be playing. He has done much better this year and is finally learning so I’m not sure he has been mature enough or developmentally ready to learn in the past. We take lots of play breaks and just do work in small amounts throughout the day.

It sounds like you're already doing a lot of great things, Cortney! ❤ I'd love to help more, so please email alison@learningattheprimarypond.com so we can chat about things. ☺

This video is fantastic!!! We are pursuing a dyslexia diagnosis for our middle child, and I truly didn’t know if we needed to do a different approach altogether to teach her to read. We are doing All About Reading level 1 and it’s teaching ALL of these concepts in this exact order. I feel very confident now. ☺️

Is your program available for homeschooling families?

I have two developmentally delayed children who were micro-preemies, twins. I suspect dyslexia with one of them…he does some letter reversal and has struggled to learn letters, sounds, and is now blending. He just turned 7 but is not a true 7 year old. It’s hard to tell at this age. We do not have any type of diagnosis, but I thought these things would be helpful. I’m a former public school teacher who came home during 2020.
