Hi Kari, what a treat to hear the trusty squeaky roller in action again ☺️. Have been waiting for more gel texture printing from you and love all the ideas. I only own small gel plate (5x7”), since Christmas but watched and saved a few of yours before i could open it and play. It is so so satisfying when every single one comes out different. Thank you for sharing, Jan 😊❤x
Lovely patterns. Love the shell one. Great to see you back to gel printing.🥰😊
Oooh lovely session I do love the unknown outcome of gel printing much more fun I think 😊😊♥️ loved the shells.... Here comes summer🌞... Yes please... Even though it is lovely and sunny this weekend I need some warmth for when I can go play too. Won't be long now I'm healing nicely 😊😊♥️🌷🤔🏖️
Loved the shells Kari beautiful ❤
The building up process too so pretty.
We can happily watch you while you experiment 👍
❤
Thanks Toni, I loved the shells, I am going to try some more experiments with those too! 🐚❤️🐚
@KariGibsonArt aha I'll look forward to that👍
I don't do gel printing yet, but I might. And the sqeeky roller doesn't bother me at all, I like the sound 😅 Love the shells, looks almost 3d. 🧡
Lovely to see yo having fun darling xxxx Hugs xxx
Just adore the patterns made from the shells! They would be a lovely framed print for a seaside cottage or beach hut!
I loved the shells, too, I am going to play with them some more! 🐚🐚❤️
Happy Imbolc Kari and Mabel!! 🪻🪷💮💮
Happy Imbolc Jane! ❤️❤️
So lovely to see you at it again! And gorgeous results! Texture is just the best. 😀
Thanks so much Henriette, it is fun to just play with textures and see what happens, I loved those shells, especially! 😊❤️🐚
I haven't thought of using shells - but I will now! TFS Kari. Nicola x
Thanks Nicola, yes, the shells were fabulous - I think I am going to have to play with them some more! 🐚❤️🐚
I’m planning on doing the 100 day project again this year. It will be my fifth year! Currently I’m thinking of making a collaged background on a 3”x3” paper substrate and finishing it off with a hand drawn stylized botanical.
Just a suggestion...if you let the paint dry a bit before using the shells, they won't slide around and you get a much cleaner impression. Thank you for sharing your process!
Thanks so much, Teresa, I will give that a go next time I play with those shells, which will be soon, because they are rather cool! 🐚❤️🐚
Your video brings summer to my mind 😊 Beautiful textures and colors. Actually, my favorite color has always been the bright green just like the one you have in this video: I even had an oil painting tube of that exact color. ❤ Lovely video. ❤ 100 day challenge sounds like intensively hard work.
Thanks Sirkka, yes I think there was quite the summer vibe going on in this printing session. That green is lovely, I agree! Yes, the 100 day project is very intense and I am always exhausted by the end of it, which is why I am not sure whether to take it on this year! ❤️❤️
I don't have one, but Anker make a wireless microphone and they are a great brand.
Thanks Jane, I will look into the Anker mic, it is about time I got myself sorted in that department! 😂❤️
Would the second paper have worked if you had let the paint dry a bit before lifting the paper? I see a lot of videos where the person lets it dry for 5-20 minutes, and it creates strong effects.
