This fixed my Renault Kadjar same issue. Your videos are golden and appreciate you sharing your expertise. Now I know for others if they have the same problem. Brilliant Content. ❤
nice job you fix it first go. You could have put a new part in but what the heck why go out and spend a few hundred quid on new part when you can fix the thing. Well done and you have a happy customer nice job
This is quite a common problem Paddy. They stick just from being subjected to the elements or owner’s driving through floods. They also give Dpf blocked codes if the pressure sensor has only 1 pipe. Might be one to watch out for 🤔🤔🤔
Great video, I have same fault but spring is broken, how do program a new flap, I have purchased a new unit but it throws up error also. Any help would be appreciated.
@@seamuskelly7185 you will need a scantool with ‘Exhaust throttle flap relearn’ capabilities. Unfortunately inexpensive EOBD code readers generally cannot do it 😔😔
My immediate answer is yes only on diesel. But then the modern petrol engine is following suit on a lot of items, like a GPF (gasoline particulate filter) instead of a DPF So I could be wrong 😬😬
Any moving part that sits in hot exhaust gases is always going to stick or fail at some point. Think you saved the customer alot of money there as when it got really siezed it would have started to strip the plastic teeth inside that motor housing.
Absolutely right Chris, it would have a job surviving in those ever changing temperatures. I always get the car back for a follow up after 2 weeks just to be sure everything worked after my repairs & this one was a gooden 💪💪🙂
I've been informed that my exhaust shut off flap is open circuit. Do I need to replace the whole thing or is there an electrical component that I can replace?
Unfortunately that is only answerable by carrying out some electrical testing. Could you remove the motor and power it up to see if the component is faulty??
Hi I have a Nissan x trail 2016 1.6dci with fault code p0016 I’ve changed the engine but now the car cranks but doesn’t start there is fuel pressure in the rail and whenever I spray the car with starter spray it slightly starts but not fully then cuts out. I’ve had a look at timing and found there to be no issue
I had a Nissan juke petrol in that wouldn’t start after an engine replacement. Take a look and see if this helps. It sounds very similar, let me know 😉👍👍👍

Thank you very much & I’m glad it helped 🙏🙏
Excellent Peter and a very efficient fix…I dare not think of the state of the customers pockets had they ended up at a first dealer
Hey Damien, probably a new exhaust throttle & new Dpf 😬😬😬
How is the Mazda going??
@@kennedysgarage3281 It’s going for NCT in 10 days 🤞🏻 Running perfectly and no faults so I’m very hopeful 🫣
Exhaust throttle? boy am I glad I have retired 1 Great video
Hi Tony, they just keep loading in the stupid emissions related bits 😬😬😬
It can be expensive maintaining all that stuff 😤😤

Are them exhaust throttle control yokes on diesels only❤ great cartoon Peter.

In that last piece to camera you looked weirdly like Mike Nolan from Bucks Fizz 😮😂
😂
You wouldn’t know what I could look like, especially after having my head stuck god knows where for 8 hours 😂😂😂😂

Good video , cheers
It might help someday Rob 🤞🤞

There's nothing seized on mine, it closes no problem after being opened with a screwdriver

@@kennedysgarage3281 I'll suggest it to my mechanic buddy

Some mechanics have told me to regime the chain on the engine but all marks and locking tools go in what do you reckon🙏
Nissan Juke 1.2turbo that won’t idle 🤔
