Meditating with closed eyes can be detrimental. Just jogging is several times better than sitting and meditate. Even yoga is much better than simply meditating. Meditating without movement may give psychological troubles, be warned. Just run !

That means it's on you to be that type of guy.
The problem here is as I see it is not to wait for something bad to happen in order to change. Change has to come when everything in your life runs ok. You have to be tough with yourself and never let your body and mind settle in comfort. I totally agree with David that you have to leave your comfort zone daily. As soon as you settle down and think that your life will always be the same as it is right now then its all over. Life is not easy, never was and it will never be. Great video.

Timothy Yakich I don’t think he is trying to say that. Many people find salvation in holy books but for others they won’t be able to turn around their lives simply by reading. Yes it can give you a guideline and strict moral sense of what is right but only you can put it into motion and make it reality. I’m still learning this as I go along but Goggins has the right idea.

Hell is an ongoing process. The more you callus, the harder it will go from there. You just can't stay stagnant. You can find an oasis, but then it'll itch and you'll feel you can't just stay there. Every day is a new battle for me. There's good days, but like ebb and flow, I know I can't get too cozy or I'll trick myself again. It's ongoing.
Wtf how did he run with broken and fractured bones. I got stress fractures in my knees during bootcamp and it got to the point where I seriously couldn’t run longer than 10 seconds without almost collapsing. And when standing at attention, I couldn’t do anything to keep my legs from trembling while they were throbbing in pain. How anyone can complete BUD/S training with full on broken bones and NOT sustain permanent life-long injuries is either just plain lucky or superior genetics (or both).
I'm going to leave this comment here and come back to it in the next couple of years and say what I have achieved in this life.
