Thanks for the video, I suspected I had the same problem since AC ventilation kept getting intrerupted. My connector was also burnt and almost impossible to pull out. Fixed my problem by just changing the harness

Thanks for the video. My filter was disgusting and the connector is stuck. Gonna find some pliers and see if it's blown before I pay a shop double to do something I could definitely figure out myself! A little scared of the rewiring so I will let my electrician friend do that part if needed lol

Thanks for the help! I just did mine on my 2012 kia optima. I kind if messed up the clip on the connector trying to get it out of the old motor, so I put a couple of pieces of electrical tape on it to help hold it in place. I figure after everything is mounted and stuff though, it should stay in place 🤞

Did you replace the blower too or just the harness?
it clearly states in the video its a new blower motor. check the video out. its a good one. hope the video helps. like and subscribe for more.
@@AnythingAuto when I take my blower out it works perfect but when I keep reinstalling it, it won't work. Does that sound like the blower is the issue?
The blower motor on the rio is underneath the glove box?
Never even seen a Rio before sorry
@@AnythingAuto oh man I can't find that any place. If you ever get the time, I'd appreciate it if you could look into that and let me know. I'm not a mechanic, but I'd love to learn something about it. Thank you for the relpy.
@guitarttimman I read it's on the driver side under the dash and the brake pedal has to be removed. Shop estimate is $500+
@@AnythingAuto Thank You Sir.
I’m thinking that you might have that motor spinning in the wrong direction! Just swap the wires and you should be fine.
@jonyovanno4145 motor is good. Still going great. i hope this video helps. feel free to like and subscribe for more & if you can, please help the channel out by giving a super thanks. Hi can someone assist me where I can find the pigtail for kia optima 2013? My pigtail is completely burnt. I can not find the pigtail. Only says fit Forte.. not sure if I am able to use that
I went to rockauto and found 7 different brands.
I'm on their page but I don't see the one you're using. All wiring are all green and the pigtail does not have that distinguish side like thr factory kind. If you have the link that would help greatly. Thank you 🙏🏼
@dundunbatman92 don't go by the one I used. I didn't buy that. I had that laying around the garage from another car ( most being the same). Email me pics of yours please.
Blower Motor Pigtail Connector Harness Fit for Kia Forte 2013-2018 Replace 18952-02224AS a.co/d/em8GwIL
Like I said. Almost all are the same. Forte will work
I'm having trouble disconnecting the wire. I'm afraid I'll break it
Take it down if you have to but yes they can be very stuck. Some time using pliers helps hold and pull while pressing down the lever. I hope the video helped now if you can help me by liking and subscribing:)
you have to use pliers to sqush the top white part, if its super stuck might be melted like mine was. It came out corroded/meltedish.
The whole reason i watched the video was to see how hard it is to get the motor out, and thats the only thing u didnt show! The rest of the video is a little painful to watch.
Every blower motor is almost the same. Getting to them is different which was shown clearly. That blower motor like every other blower motor has 3 Phillips heads screws which is shown at 3:00. If you watch the video you would have seen thay clearly. Glad I was able to help you please like and subscribe for more
