Maybe you saw them in the Tiger King, but of course, that's not the way to care for them nor does it have anything to do with their conservation. those 2 clouded leopards are without a doubt the most beautiful animals i have seen. they are just almost beyond belief !!!!!

Omg, I agree so much. They do not look real. I saw one at a zoo in Norristown pa a while back and fell in love. I remember I couldn’t believe how long their tails were.and How beautiful they were
they need WAY more space :(
@@raphaellavictoria01 It seems so. Although they have adapted to humans well, I feel sorry for them in such a small cage. They seem nervous looking at the outside world.

As someone who prefer cats over dogs and have almost always had cats, I would do almost anything to cuddle with those leopards! Cuteness overload!
Until you get your face ripped off and then decide to settle for a dog, which will actually bond with you.

Some years ago I saw clouded leopards at the San Diego Zoo. I was awestruck! Their coats reminded me of the Burmese Python, I was surprised at how small they are, and gobsmacked at how affectionate they were with their handlers!

Loved all of these animals, but out of them all, I have to say, those two clouded leopards stole my heart, they are so sweet, almost have a better disposition than my house cats, and they are also gorgeous, their coats look almost 3D like...love them.
These would be a wonderful pet for every family member to enjoy

It's baffling that there are no domesticated cats like the clouded leopard. That is the perfect size and shape for a guard cat.

@@U.S.Dept.ofHoeflation Some cats actually can be trained on complex commands like canine's. But it takes more effort to train them, Than it takes to train easily trainable breeds of dogs.

Wow petting one of those cats is way easier than my house cat. I'd trust them more.
Funny how the camaraman said he was goin to McDonald's to eat while he's cuddling endangered animals. For example, the cheap hamburgers u get at McDonald's r mostly from cattle who r raised in some rain forest areas that r being burned down and cleared away to make room for the cattle to graze. This displaces many rainforest animals from their home so thank God for people like Sabrina who r able to take many of these now homeless animals in and care for them. 💕
On the question of "Are clouded leopards big cats?"
The clouded leopard (Neofelis nebulosa) and the Sunda clouded leopard (Neofelis diardi) belong to Neofelis, which is the sister genus to the genus Panthera. Panthera is a genus that contains the species of all of the true big cats, for example:
Panthera tigris, the tiger
Panthera uncia, the snow leopard (closer related to tigers than actual leopards!)
Panthera onca, the jaguar
Panthera pardus, the leopard
Panthera leo, the lion
Neofelis nebulosa are the clouded leopards shown in this video because Neofelis nebulosa has an overall brighter coat and has more elongated patterns that are few in number. Neofelis diardi has an overall darker coat and has more rounded patterns that are more numerous in number.
The answer to the question asked above is "They are not true big cats, but are extremely closely related to big cats due to being a "sister taxon" of big cats."

Clouded Leopards are my favorite big cat even though they aren't so big. I first saw them up close at the exotic feline breeding compound and the hurdles to captive breed them was unreal but finally happening at last. Neofelis has to be the most unique cat.
Clouded leopards aren't technically big cats. Plus, they're critically endangered & seeing clouded leopards in cages should make you cry.

I have never been more jealous in my life, clouded leopards are amazing!
Clouded Leopards are absolutely my favorite in that size class. I would love to buy land and participate in breeding programs to help them gain numbers. They aren't a type of leopard though (neither is the snow leopard). They are totally a separate breed and as un/related to the leopard and snow leopard as to a house cat or lion.

@@RIZFERD They are not leopards. They are not a subspecies of leopard. They are their own species. They are called leopards because of their markings. There is a smaller Leopard Cat in that area. Those cats look like house cats. They are not related to those either. Those cats are also called leopard cats because of their markings.

Dav thanks for posting. I've always have been a big cat fan almost all my life. Used to volunteer at a big cat rescue in Bridgeport Texas with a friend of mine. All big cats have a special place in my heart especially clouded leopards. I love the interaction between you and them. It brought me to tears. That's how much I love big cats. To have that special time and bond with a big cat has always Been my favorite.

Gorgeous cats they need a much bigger area with trees for a well balanced life.
Their coats are just amazing,really beautiful,and the chuffing which I'd always thought was unique to tigers.
Jaguars and snow leopards also chuff.
Snow Leopards,Clowded Leopards are closest relative of tigers than any other cat.thats why they can chuff like tigers.

way back when I was a kid I used to spend most of my weekends at the San Diego Zoo. it was free for kids under 16 at the time. I used to go right when they opened and there would be virtually no other visitors for a half hour or so. one day I was down by the clouded leopard enclosure and one of the keepers was sitting just outside the cage petting the leopard. I started talking to her as I was fascinated that she could do that. she asked if I wanted to pet it. I said of course! still remember that dense fur and how friendly that cat was.
Oh I am soooo jealous! Those are some beautiful creatures. They act exactly like my two maincoons. Just so adorable. They must eat a ton of meat daily.

Kind of weird seeing clouded leopard very friendly like that. Most of my life seeing them in jungle and my countryside, they are very shy and has the ability to escape and hide themselves like ninja.

House cats spray too. I have a male Tom who has been fixed but he still sprays. His spray is toxic and will destroy leather furniture unless u spray it with armor all or something
